A captivatingly funny and deeply emotional new standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. When the Dark Knights at Bayside and the cast of Bayside Summers collide, sparks fly, and trouble—or maybe love—is not far behind. Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think … bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven’t met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Their stories are told in the same loving, passionate voice readers have come to adore in Melissa’s other series. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them!

I’ve been up since the crack of dawn reading the first book in a new series, A Little Bit Wicked.. Let me tell you, I’ve been on a roller coaster of emotions from laughing, hot flashing, crying and just plain happy. Both Justin and Chloe have been through so much when they both were so young. Justin learned how to love and what is like to really be a part of a family from his adoptive family, the Wicked’s and the Dark Knights. Chloe had only her sister Serena to love, protect and be a family with for so long.
Justin is every bit as Wicked as his last name implies. He’s tatted up and belongs to a motorcycle “gang” the Dark Knights and she is sure they are up to no good. Chloe had a very bad experience with a man like that. She swore off dating anyone like that again. So for 1 1/2 years she pushes Justin away looking for Mr. Right in all the wrong places. Until one fateful night when she finally learns who Justin truly is and what he stands for in life and love.
As much as I love this story, to me it seemed to get bogged down with so many character introductions and re-introductions in the first few chapters. After those first few chapters it was much easier to stay focused on Justin and Chloe’s storyline and not everyone else. I really admire how this author is able to create such realistic characters and storylines. I feel like I’m right there in the thick of things with them. I guess that’s why I have such emotional rides when reading her books. I’m very interested to learn more about Leah. Can’t wait for more in this series.
Wow. My favorite writing fairy has done it again. Best romance writer ever in my mind. Justin and Chloe are just hot. Justin has been in love with Chloe for a year and a half. He’s ready to show her the man he is .. the man she wants. Chloe has to let go of her past in order to trust Justin. When tragedy strikes do Justin and Chloe have what it takes?
A LITTLE BIT WICKED by Melissa Foster. Ooh-La-La! Ms. Foster has stolen my heart with this one. I adore Justin! He is uber sexy, down to earth – what you see is what you get with him. He is protective and loving and simply scrumptious! Chloe, well, she is a bit more closed off, with good reason. It did take a little bit more time for me to warm up to her, but, as the story progressed and I learned more about her, I came to love her too. And the two of them together are delightful Ms. Foster has such a knack for creating tales that encompass so many emotions, and this one was no different. There is happiness, sadness, laughter and tears with a little drama thrown in too. I am so excited for this new series and A LITTLE BIT WICKED has certainly kicked it off right. (received ARC from author for honest review)
Depth of character and community awareness are consistent traits I find in Melissa Foster’s books. Friendship is the foundation for any strong relationship.
Justin Wicked is part of the Dark Knights motorcycle club in their small seaside town. Chloe Mallery has spent her whole life making each day better for herself and those around her. Both of them had less than desirable childhoods. Justin was adopted and learned what a loving family was like from the Wickeds. Chloe grew up taking care of her younger sister, learning to depend only on herself, and trying to be the opposite of her selfish mother. Justin and Chloe rely on their long friendship to help them navigate what a relationship could look like between them.
Great start to a new series. Justin and Chloe are different in so many ways, but so much alike in more ways than either of them knew. Will Justin convince Chloe to give him a chance? I loved every word of this book and I felt so many emotions while reading. It’s one Beck of ride and so worth it.
We’re back to Cape Cod for this new Dark Knights at Bayside book. I cannot stress how much I love Justin “Maverick” Wicked. He’s a Dark Knight down to his soul and takes protecting those he loves as well as the community he lives in seriously. Although not a Wicked by blood, he’s a Wicked by heart and worthy to be called one after the hellish childhood he survived. Adopted by Preacher and Reba Wicked, treated like one of their own, Justin grew to be the kind of man who was a perfect fit for the Dark Knights. But looks can be deceiving and Chloe Mallery likes Justin, but thinks he’s too similar to the men her mother used to bring home. The kind of men that no young girl should be exposed to. Chloe chose to protect her younger sister Serena from them and grew up fiercely independent and determined not to turn into the weak woman her mother was.
Chloe is a beautiful, sexy, independent, fiercely loyal young woman with a heart of gold. She’s always there whenever anyone needs her, but she’s friend-zoned Justin thinking he’s another player and fondly refers to him as Biker Boy.
Justin works hard to prove to Chloe he’s the right man for her. His patience, romantic tendencies, flirty behavior, dirty talking, unwavering loyalty and just the right amount of cockiness adds so much to his appeal. Justin is multifaceted and as Chloe sees the many sides of him she can’t help but fall for him.
When problems arise will Chloe be able to accept Justin’s protection or will she push him away?
What to love about this book? Love, laughter, romance? All of it! Justin literally waited for Chloe, and his romantic gestures came with no strings, but from the sincerity of a loving heart. He flirted, wooed her, excelled at dirty talk and put her needs above his own. I also enjoyed watching Chloe come to some major realizations as she allowed herself to go from Uptown Girl to Justin’s girl! A must read!
This is a very touching story. Justin Wicked, who was adopted by the Wicked’s, has wanted to date Chloe ever since he met her. Chloe will flirt with him, but won’t date him. The two have issues from their younger days. I loved Justin and the person he is now because of all the love of the Wicked’s. We all have a tendency to judge people by looks. Since Justin is tatted, rides a motorcycle, and runs with a motorcycle gang some people tend to think he is bad news. But the motorcycle gang he belongs to helps people and has many respected business people and even police as members. I felt bad for Chloe as her mother was never a mother and brought many motorcycle riding bad boys into their home. Chloe always protected her little sister Serena from any of the bad. Their mother never paid attention to them or believed Chloe if she said one of her boyfriends was trying to hit on her. Hence her bad thoughts about Justin. I was so glad when Chloe finally gave Justin a chance and got to really know Justin and his family. I loved the people in the elderly home where Chloe worked. Everything does not go great all the time and the two learn lessons about each other. There were also a few times that made me cry. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Melissa Foster’s talent to write sweet romance with an edge is vast. A Little Bit Wicked is no different. However, this was my first foray into the Whiskeys or Wicked MC club genre. I have read several of her Bayside novels, and the inter-connectedness of all her series is engaging. Not to mention that it makes me want to read all the stories. We have interacted with Justin and Chloe in previous works, and this is their time to shine.
Justin is bound and determined he is going to get Chloe. He just has to convince her. She’s balking. Her childhood with a disengaged mother and living with her mother’s choices have put Chloe on a path she feels she needs. Justin’s childhood with not so good parents left him as the adopted son of the Wickeds. Both have similar backgrounds; they are trying to outgrow and stop a cycle of dysfunction.
It takes some doing, but Chloe wakes up to the beauty of Justin and a relationship with him. When they discover that though appearances may peg them at opposite ends of the spectrum, they actually are very similar individuals. Not only are their backgrounds similar, but they also have the same desires and dreams. This story unfolds from there very pleasantly as we watch their relationship grow. I do have to say Justin is one of the most outwardly romantic heroes I have read in a long time. His birthday surprise for Chloe was epic. You should read the book just for the birthday scene. And let’s not forget the sand. No, really, you need to read this book for the romantic gestures from this guy.
I am glad to get the feeling this is the first in several books about Justin’s family. They seem to be an exciting and engaging lot, and I’m sure their stories of finding their happily ever afters will be just as enjoyable as Justin and Chloe’s.
I know I’ve probably said this a million times, but it’s the truth, no one can make me fall in love quite the way Melissa Foster does with every single one of her books. And the Wicked men, those men are some of her best. A Little Bit Wicked is bursting at the seems with romance that will give you butterflies, sweetness that will bring tears of joy to your eyes, friendship and family that will fill your heart up with love and about a billion other magnificent moments.
This book is friends-to-lovers on a whole new level. Justin and Chloe are one of the best couples I’ve ever read. From Justin’s patient but dedicated persistence and Chloe’s growth and realization of what’s been in front of her the whole time these two have a story that really reaches out and grabs you.
4 1/2 STARS!
Delectably sinful! With the first book in her latest spin-off series The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside Melissa Foster brings us the man we’ve all been waiting for in A LITTLE BIT WICKED. Justin Wicked has been simmering in all of our Bayside fantasies for years now and it’s finally time that he lays it all on the line for Chloe Mallery. I adored them as a couple and am so looking forward to this series! While I loved them getting together and finding their way, I felt like their story was almost too overwhelmingly sappy. There were too many characters woven into one story which made it long and left the space for the turmoil and strife needed to accurately test their relationship feel a bit like a side spot. I was left wanting a bit more drama and less distraction, but they rocked that happily ever after.
Justin is a dream. He lost a bit of the alpha bad boy side in the telling of his story, but the emotional depth he portrayed was spot on.
Chloe is easy to like even if she does let her past rule her life a bit too much. She quickly realizes how much she’s been misjudging Justin and becomes present in the making of their relationship.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an emotional story line that is heavy in family and friendship. You really can never go wrong with a Melissa Foster book if you’re looking for love, friendship and a whole lot of heart!
What a perfect introduction to the The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside. We already know Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery from previous books by Melissa Foster but in this story, we get to know more about the Wicked family and more about the Dark Knights – the Bayside chapter. This was such a great story and I loved watching Chloe and Justin drop their guard and share their stories with each other and who would have known their pasts are very similar. I must admit this story was an emotional read for me and I shed many tears reading it, but that was part of the story – the sad times that they both dealt with to make them the amazing people they are now. One thing I love about Melissa Foster’s books is that she makes you feel like you’re right there with the characters, whether it’s the book club meeting or at Undercover or just hanging out in Justin’s studio, you feel like you’re part of the story. I liked how they were supportive of each other and how Justin did little things for Chloe and how Chloe gave Justin suggestions on his sculpture and helped him get the ‘intel’ he needed to pull it all together. It was hard to read about Alan and how his actions and decisions affected not only Chloe and Justin but so many others. I loved Justin’s nicknames for Chloe, by my favorite nicknames for them is Maverick and Uptown Girl and it was fun that when her nickname came out how many people already knew about Uptown Girl because of Justin’s crush on her for so long. Plus, I also had the song streaming in my head while I was reading. This is going to be a great series and I am looking forward to the next story and I am especially excited to read Madigan’s story, she definitely intrigued me. Thank you, Melissa Foster, for another amazing and touching story.
What a great start to a new series by this author. I haven’t read all the other stories where some of these characters interconnect but there’s no need because you get lots of glimpses and explanations. There is a sense of family in this story that pulls at your heartstrings. I may have fallen in love with Justin and his need to protect and his personality just drew me in. Both him and Chloe have a past and I love how he tries to move past that and prove to her who he really is. They’re complicated but strong, sweet, sexy, and so much stronger together.
A Little Bit Wicked is a new series by Melissa Foster. If you are familiar with her books you will see some characters from other books in this book.
A Little Bit Wicked is the story of Justin and Chloe. Justin has has his eye on Chloe form the first time he saw her. But Chloe’s past makes her to scared to allow herself to see that Justin is more than the motorcycle he rides. Chloe thinks she wants a safe business suit wearing guy. But when Chloe discovers that Justin is more than meets the eye, she finds he is a loving and caring man who puts his family and friends first. And he really has a gentle and romantic heart.
As always a Foster book has great characters. Justin made me swoon and Chloe’s love of helping others was perfect. The story was very good. The only thing is it dragged on a bit in the middle and there were so many people in the story that I got a little lost in the beginning.
I am looking forward to reading more stories about The Dark Knights.
Foster is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I devoured this book. This is a wonderful tale about love and family. Foster created a heartfelt and warming yet very sexy story about Justin and Chloe, who on the surface are complete opposites. He is a sexy tatted bad boy and she is a composed, independent women. However, deep down, they both have insecurities arising from their childhoods that define them. As you read, you will discover and peel away the layers that define them and watch how their relationship develops. Their love story is a slow burn that ignites the pages when they finally give into their attraction. I love the depth and complexity to Foster’s characters, both main and supporting characters and this book is full of great personalities. This is well written, enjoyable, steamy yet emotional book that will keep you enthralled from start to finish. Advance copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Melissa Foster excels at characters who deal with real world issues. Justin Wicked and Chloe Mallery have depth to their lives and complicated pasts. They have danced around each other for a long time but are often together, flirting shamelessly, as they share a common group of friends. Chloe also has some barriers that do not allow her to let Justin in, but a chance encounter and a walk on the beach changes things. I love how pieces of these complex characters are revealed as the story progresses. It also brings awareness to several real life issues. I truly could not put this 5 star read by Melissa Foster down.
What a great start to this series! I loved Chloe and Justin’s story. Essentially a friends to lovers story, these two have been friends and Chloe was denying the sparks. She pegged Justin as a bad boy because he had tats and a motorcycle. But she finally gets her head out of her, you know… Justin is determined to not give up on those sparks. I loved that he chased her in a way that wasn’t over the top, but enough to push her along. They have a beautiful story. I’m very excited for the next book also!
This was my first time reading a book written by Melissa Foster and it definitely will not be my last. A Little Bit Wicked (though there is nothing “little” about how wicked this book was) is sexy, charming, humorous and swoon-worthy.
A Little Bit Wicked follows Justin “Maverick” Wicked, adopted son of Reba and Rob “Preacher” Wicked, and Chloe Mallery, Serena Mallery’s sister. Both Justin and Chloe have not had easy time growing up but that did not hinder them from becoming compassionate, patient and loving towards the people in their lives.
Justin is member of a motorcycle club called The Dark Knights which does not fall under the stereotypical MC clubs. The Dark Knights are all about helping the community and the less fortunate, often getting involved in charity rallies. I must say I really loved Justin. He had so many sides to him. He could be very flirty one second, and then really romantic the next. He is also not afraid to protect the people he loves by any means necessary. I absolutely loved that he never pretended to be someone else and that he was never afraid to say what is on his mind. What you see is what you get when it comes to Justin. Not to mention Justin is quite the dirty talker which I absolutely love in my heroes.
It took be a bit longer to warm up to Chloe, but I adored and admired her once I found out what she has gone through growing up. She is really strong, loving and genuinely nice person who is always there for her family and friends. I did not like that she just assumed that Justin is exactly like the men in her past solemnly based on appearance, but once I found out what the past actually entails, I began to understand why she was so cautious when it came to men and relationships.
I absolutely Justin’s family and their friends. And there are many, believe me. At the beginning I had bit of a hard time remembering who is who but I got hang of it eventually. It is obvious how much they love and care for each other and they all would go to the end of the world for one another. But while they are protective of each other, they also tease each other mercilessly which was one of my favourite things about this book. Justin’s brother are freaking hilarious and I cannot wait for them to fall on their asses when “the one” comes along.
A Little Bit Wicked had it all; romance, humor, drama, love and family. I definitely recommend picking up this one and succumb to the world of deliciously Wicked men. I already cannot wait to read Tank and Leah’s story in The Wicked Aftermath .
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
There is so much beauty and loving in this book!
This is the story of Justin and Chloe, Justin who pursues Chloe from the first time they met, and Chloe who has to battle some past influences to be able to fully let go and trust him.
What makes this book wonderful is the pretty close to perfection hero and his efforts to get Chloe’s love (bonus for the dirty talk) , Chloe’s love and dedication to the people she cares about and so many supporting characters that make the whole story feel full of heart and joy: the elderly people, the Dark Nights, the book club, there is just so much that brings you joy when reading this. Totally recommend it for the feel good factor! I cannot wait to meet more of the characters with their own stories!
A Little Bit Wicked is the first book in The Wicked’s Series by Melissa Foster. The story centres around Justin Wicked, the tattooed, ‘bad boy’ with a good heart who has it bad for focused ‘Uptown girl’ Chloe. The Dark Knights are not your typical MC, they do things for their community, are family and look out for each other, but that being said, Chloe is nervous about them and even more nervous about Justin going from friend to lover. Even though Chloe is standoffish to begin with, when we get more of her backstory, it makes sense that she is the way she is. Basically, it has been her and her sister forever and other circumstances have made her trusting not only Justin but any man hard to do.
But Justin isn’t going to take no for an answer and we see the wonderful lengths he will go too, to make sure that Chloe becomes his. Justin is sweet, romantic, an alpha, sensitive and has an amazing artistic streak that comes through in the writing of this book. We also get a glimpse into what and who has made the man that Justin has become today and there are some heart-breaking moments, not only between him and Chloe but also his family when it comes to decisions he has made and will make in his life.
This was a beautifully written book about love, family, commitment and growing. The scenes between the two main characters are sexy and sweet and build slowly into a friend to lovers’ story with some angst and drama along the way. Ms. Foster is so good at creating these amazing family units where life hasn’t been easy but where it has shaped people to become the best versions of themselves that they could be. For me, this was a book that I couldn’t put down, it had everything from passions to drama, romance and sexy times with a slow burn to melting hot between the main characters and I can’t wait to see more from the Wicked’s.

ustin Wicked has learned to be patient for what he wants. Chloe Mallery is looking for the right one but just hasn’t found it yet. There are characters mentioned/seen here that have had their own story. You don’t have to read them in order to enjoy this latest but hopefully it will leave you wanting to check them out or even revisit them.
This story shows what one may see as fun and exciting, someone else may see the other side. There’s plenty of realism. At times it might feel as if the lines between fiction and our world today are starting to blur. All the characters could be people that we pass by and wonder who they are and what do they do.
In a way the tattoos just become another character. They may not speak but they do tell a story. Just like the others here the author paints a picture so that we can see what they might look like – or what they have to say.
You could see how right our main couple were for each other. It wasn’t hard to feel the chemistry. Our author knows her stuff. It’s not hard to sit back and enjoy the people that we’ve come to love. You’re always going to feel good and want to go back for more. I always think I’m going to go back and read a series from the beginning but then another good book comes along and that thought goes right out the window. I figure that I’ll have all the time in the world once I retire. In the meantime, I look forward to getting to know more of The Wickeds and the Dark Knights At Bayside. The only difference is I won’t be wanting to go to the Cape for now but I have no trouble seeing the places in my mind.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
