From the eye-catching cover to the intriguing synopsis, The Wicked Prince had me hooked from beginning to the end. This steamy royal romance will leave you wanting for more.
In the story we get to meet Margot Keane, a New York journalist whose pink hair gives her a rebellious side to her. She is independent, outspoken and highly stubborn. It’s those qualities that manage to catch the attention of a handsome stranger at a venue, they drink and dance the night away. Yet, it’s their instant chemistry that brings them closer and they end up spending the night together. Margot is not afraid of being a little reckless, but she wasn’t expecting to find out that her handsome stranger would turn out to be the Crown Prince of Denmark. They go their separate ways until they are reunited again, this time she will working very closely with the prince. It’s clear that they still like each other, but things quickly take a different turn than she was expecting and Margot will have to decide if pursuing a relationship with Stellan is worth it or not.
Prince Stellan Augustus Love has it all, the looks, wealth and title to get just about any woman he could possibly want. But he can’t stop thinking about Margot and their night together. He knows more than anything that his duty to the crown comes first and can’t be distracted when it comes to the gorgeous journalist. The minute he finds out that Margot will be shadowing him for a piece she’ll be writing for the royal family that he can’t wait to have another night with her. It’s clear that they have feelings for each other, but he starts to wonder if she is ready to give up her old life in order to join his world. He’ll do anything in his power to make her his before it’s too late.
I absolutely loved reading The Wicked Prince, it was sweet, romantic and full of steamy moments between the characters that had me rooting for them until the very end. It’s evident that Stellan and Margot come from two different worlds. While Stellan was raised to one day be King, Margot was the struggling kid who had to grew up fast in order to survive. They both are independent and committed to their jobs. Although Stellan knows that he will be King, he still struggles to keep up with all the responsibilities that come with the role. On the other hand, Margot grew up with nothing and her major struggle is of fitting in within the royal family. As the two go through ups and downs, we get a glimpse of the secondary characters which I loved! Now I did find myself struggling with the ending, thought it was a bit too fast and some things were left unanswered. That’s not to say that the ending was bad, but it was okay. We get a chapter of what’s to come in the next book in the series, which I cannot wait to read. All in all, if you love a royal romance with lots of chemistry than I would highly recommend checking out this book! I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. 🙂
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
In The Prince and his Rebel prequel, we meet Margot and Stellan, with their short, unforgettable passionate encounter in America. The Wicked Prince takes place in Denmark, and crown prince Stellan is reunited with Margot-but not to pick up where they left off. There’s a fantastic range of characters that are introduced in this book, friends and family. I love that these two have such an intense relationship, whether they are fighting, flirting, or hanging out. There were two moments that are memorable to me-when Stellan realises that he actually likes Margot, and when he realises he loves her. Both are exquisite, bittersweet moments where his own needs, his own life, must come second to duty. Just maybe it’s time for tradition to change!
I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
3.5 Stars
The Wicked Prince is a light and airy, amusing, and charming read. I liked the story, it was entertaining, and the characters were good. Margot and Stellan had scorching hot chemistry, but they also were raised very differently that made them work. Will Stellan choose to do his duty to the crown? Or follow his heart with Margot? I can’t wait for the next book.
Well what a little gem this book was. I loved every single second of it! The chemistry between the 2 characters was ofg the charts, it was sexy, it was sweet, it was fun and captivating. Every character was so well developed, the story flowed beautifully. I really hope there is more from this world.
After reading the prequel for The Wicked Prince, I was excited to see how Stellan and Margot’s story would continue, but I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. When Margot and Stellan had met previously, Margot had no clue that he was a prince and was in line to be king. Their encounter did not end well and she doesn’t expect to ever see him again. When she lands a new job in another country, her first assignment is to write a story about the Crown Prince. Neither Stellan nor Margot is too happy about spending time together, but will they be able to resist the sparks between them?
Margot is a pink-haired, free spirit who says what she feels. She grew up poor and she sees the world very differently from Stellan. While she claims to hate Stellan, she can’t help her attraction to him. Spending time with him, she sees beneath the surface to the vulnerable man he hides from the world.
Stellan is very serious about his duty to become king. He can’t afford to be distracted by a pink-haired temptress, but she makes him feel. She brings a light to his life that he wasn’t expecting, but he knows that his happiness comes second to the crown.
The banter between these two is electric and their chemistry is off the charts. Their story was far more emotional than I was expecting and I loved that. They are truly opposites, but that is what brings them together. They challenge each other and watching both of them break down the walls of what was expected and forge their own paths was heartbreaking and heartwarming. This a fantastic start to a new series with a great set of characters. I can’t wait to read about the rest of the family.
I loved reading the Wicked Prince! Vivian Wood knows how to weave a story that captures your attention and keeps you till the book is done. In this case book 1 of the Dirty Royals series. I loved following Margot and Stellan’s story of forbidden love and look forward to see what happens next book.
Another amazing book by Vivian Wood The Wicked Prince.
This is the story of Prince Stellan and Margot, a very romantic story with adventure, mystery, love and passion. Can two people so different find there HEA together. Recommend this book to everyone. Absolutely brilliant.
I really loved this book. It reminds me of Harry and Markie the royals. He will be king someday she is a common person. They have a lot of feelings but the issues between them are hard. A lot of heartache but the read is worth it
This book had a great story line and characters.
Margot is out one night with her best friend Pippa. That is when she runs into the mysterious Stellan. Margot has not had an easy life. She had put herself through college and is now a junior reporter. When the chance comes to start over in Copenhagen with Pippa she decides to take it.
Stellan has to hid who is is being the crown Prince of Denmark. However, with one post things spiral out of control. He was drawn to Margot the first time he saw her. Now, though he pushes her away the best he can. His duty is to his country and nothing else.
When pushed together will they be able to resist the pull or will they cave? Will the people of Denmark accept a commoner?
This story was a modern day version of Cinderella and Vivian Wood did a great job writing it.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Vivan Wood is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books. Can’t wait for the next book
My reliable one-click author does it again and proves she’s a master at any troupe! You will get hooked right from the get go on Margot and Stellan’s story. Their chemistry is volatile and positively electric! You really get Stellan’s dilemma I think because who wouldn’t fall in love with quirky tenacious spitfire Margot? Stellan is far from perfect, and it took me a while to get a good feel for him. His character shines through as he sorts through his feelings and obligations. A great read especially for fans of Royals (or quirky bada&$ heroines)
This was a fun, cute fairy tale type story. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. For me, this was an okay read…I didn’t feel compelled to burn through the pages and there wasn’t enough angst to sink my teeth into! But overall, I enjoyed it. I received this book at no cost in exchange for my honest review.
Love, love, love Stellan and Margot! Who doesn’t love a twist on Cinderella! These two are from two different worlds, but they are the Ying and Yang in their story. When these two met Margot had no idea who Stellan was and what he represented, one night and no strings, never to see each other again, needing to move on, start over, she ends up taking a job in Stellan’s hometown unbeknownst to she would be dealing with him in her daily job. Needless to say the Prince has upended her life and now he’s making it hard to resist his charms. Can these two stay away from scandal or will their attraction cause even more? Great read, loved these two and can’t wait for more. I received a copy of this book.
I was addicted to Margot and Stellan’s story from the get go! Their chemistry is felt immediately! It’s a constant struggle for both and the one thing that plagues them as reality sets in because the poor girl from America isn’t supposed to be the girl who holds the heart of the future king of Denmark!
Margot is an independent female who makes her own way! With her wild hair, out of the norm clothing she isn’t someone of extreme importance or so she thinks! But one wild night she caught the eye of Stellan and now he can’t get her out! When these two are forced to work together and fight attraction they feel it causes some over the top arguments but also leads to some of the sweetest moments that will forever leave a mark on your heart!
Stellan is broody, moody and can be a down right jerk! But there’s more to him under all his aloofness! There’s a man who wants more than to just be a royal! He wants to be himself but doesn’t know how without disappointing all those around him! The only time he has ever felt alive has been with Margot but he knows he can’t keep her….or can he? He is the soon to be king after all!?
If there is one royal romance to read this season it’s definitely the Wicked Prince! You will find yourself addicted and entranced by these two!
I received a free copy of this book.
As it says many times in the book, this is a Cinderella story. When they meet, Margot has no idea who Stellan is and they instantly connect. Very intense chemistry. Being a prince and heir to the throne, Stellan lives his life in a beautifully gilded cage. Margot has spent her life on the bottom of the heap, at times homeless and penniless. They are interesting to watch them try to muddle through, at times being outright rude to each other, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. It is a good story and I am looking forward to the next story in this new series.
Well that was such a great read I couldn’t get enough of Margot and Stellan. They have such an amazing chemistry with sparks that fly from the start. The story is spicy, sweet, and will completely pull you in to their world. I was loving the other characters as well and am looking forward to their stories as the series progresses.
Stellan and Margot continued!!!!! Loved them! Well-written as usual from this author. Definitely recommend this book.
This is a modern day fairy-tale, with an added twist. Margot is a journalist who is assigned to interview Prince Stellan, not knowing that they had met briefly previously. This is a good story which is heart-warming and is a steamy read. I must admit I struggled to engage with the characters to begin with, but I do recommend this story for all.
The Wicked Prince was not your typical royal romance.
Margot and Stellan started off as a flashbang that neither saw coming. Unfortunately their night ends with Stellan having to answer to his grandmother and Margot hiding out from the paparazzi. But, when an opportunity brings Margot to Denmark, she and Stellan are thrown together once more, and not at eithers request. Now they’ll have to spend the next month together acting like their one night stand never happened so they can both live up to the expectations placed on them by society.
The Wicked Prince was hotter than hot, fun and very unexpected. After they go from 0 to 60 in a hot minute, Stellan and Margot are forced together in an incredibly awkward situation for both of them. This brings out the slow burn that neither wants to acknowledge but grows hotter and hotter until it turns explosive. But, knowing they come from opposite world’s, finding a way to make it work seems like a fairytale romance that can never be.
I really enjoyed these characters. While Stellan has a bit of a wild streak, he has been groomed to rule since birth. He knows what is expected of him and will never go against what is best for his country even if he does feel a bit stifled and weighed down by having to claim the throne earlier than expected. He only wants one thing for himself, and that’s Margot. Margot is fiercely independent and a bit of a rebel at heart. Not only is she a commoner, she’s had a childhood Stellan can’t even comprehend. And, she’s definitely in over her head when it comes to dealing with life with a royal.
The Wicked Prince had great push and pull between Stellan and Margot. It introduced readers to a cast of characters for future books in the series that I can’t wait to learn more about. This really was a unique retelling of a Cinderella / Prince and the pauper romance . . . . except that no one could predict or define Margot and just how far Stellan was willing to go to make her his! 4 stars.
Talk about a modern day fairy tale story that I couldn’t get enough of. Margot and Stellan meet by chance in New York one night. Margot knows nothing about Stellan, only that he’s a handsome guy at a club. These two has that cosmic HOTT chemistry right from the start and things only get hotter for them. After one picture causes an uproar chaos ensues after. This story had me laughing, crying and swooning and I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next. These two knew they both wanted each other but were they wiling to fight for each other is the question. I love how these two grew with each page and I was rooting for them from the very beginning. I can’t wait for more royal fun from this family. This is a must read!!
