I absolutely love this book!
Phillipa Gregory is an amazingly prolific writer of books of historical fiction with such detail that you feel she was there!
After a trip to Great Britain and Europe I became interested in historical fiction. Phillipia Gregory’s work keeps me excited and extends the pleasure of my travels.
Historical fiction is my favorite genre. Phillips Gregory writes a fairly quick and uncomplicated read, unless you have to memorize the family tree of the Royal Family!
Can’t go wrong with Philippa Gregory
The narrater was so dry and sound so boring. I finished only because it really was a great story.
What I come to expect from this great author.
Well worth a read if you like historical novels
A good historical read, but left unresolved
If you have an affinity for the Middle Ages and English history, you’ll enjoy this book. I appreciated it even more once I visited Great Britain, and things all fell into place.
Philippa Gregory is second to none. In a time period where women are largely forgotten and ignored, she creates strong, wise and compelling characters. Good stuff.
Really great book!
great historical read
Possible reality. Loved it!
Loved It! This story had everything.i lobe love about historical novels. I’m no expert but I’ve done a lot of reading and research of the period and without being too dry or over romantic the author balances both. I’m going to read more of her books for sure.
Not as good as The Agincourt Bride.
Not her best book, but good historic read nonetheless.
