I always wished I had supernatural powers. Now I wish I didn’t. Sadie’s a dud, a failure–the only one in high school who doesn’t have any kind of supernatural powers. Her psychic bff, Jo, knows something about Sadie’s future, but just won’t tell. And what the heck is going on when one of her teachers starts looking at her while he’s going on about powerful lost keys, portals of madness, and … keys, portals of madness, and destinies?
Then it all starts.
On her 18th birthday, Sadie starts to feel weird. And when werewolves, vampires, and demons all turn up to spoil her party, the weirdness really ramps up.
Leaving her best friend, her family, and the only town she’s ever known, Sadie must find safety. But while the king of the werewolves can offer her somewhere to hide while she’s learning about her new powers, he can’t stop his psycho witch fiancée from finding new ways to try and kill her. Of course, the murderous tendencies of this psycho witch only get worse when she realises the Werewolf King is, um… attracted to Sadie.
And all that’s before Sadie sets off to try and find one of the lost keys. Before she visits hell. Before she picks up a pet ogre.
And before she realizes just how powerful she can become.
But if it really is her destiny to collect one of the lost keys, will she be able control her newfound power and help save the world and all the people in it she loves? Or will she buckle under the pressure?
She’s about to find out. A mansion surrounded by demons and full of vampires and witches intent on her destruction awaits. Oh, and that psycho-witch fiancée of the Werewolf King. What could possibly go wrong?

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)
By: Brandi Elledge
5 out of 5 stars
The story The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1) by Brandi Elledge is a wonderful fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Sadie and Jo. Sadie is a young girl who doesn’t have supernatural powers. She stands out from those in the town she lives in. Then things begin to change on her 18th birthday. Jo is Sadie’s BFF. I love the interactions and bantering that goes on between the two. Sadie is a psychic. Does she know something about Sadie that she is not saying? Things really kick into high gear when Sadie has to leave her best friend, family, and town. She is learning about her new powers and needs protection. What does the future hold for Sadie? Read this book to find out. This story has action, adventure, danger, and a bit of romance. It is a book that at times had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I love books that include the supernatural and this is a wonderful example of why. The story keeps your interest all the way through. There are other additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. They each have their own part to play and many of them are a help to Sadie. Then there are those with their own agenda and plans. Will they be stopped? This is a book that you don’t want to miss out on reading. Highly recommended.
WOW! What an excellent start to a series. The story is fast pace with plenty of twists. Some books a slow to the point of boredom. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I read it straight thru non stop. YEAH Brandy! I loved this and it is going on my list of books to buy.
Was entertaining, action packed, clean and had some quite humorous moments. Kept my attention.
This was a fun one to read! I enjoyed the main character, Sadie, and her humor/sarcasm. It’s the first in a series, and I have already read the second and am on to the third.
I loved this book so much. It always kept me wanting more and also it was a fast read. Absolutely, loved the world the author created.
I loved this book! It came up for free in my bookbub account, and it sounded intriguing, so I checked out reviews on Amazon. I was a little hesitant because the reviews weren’t as great as I would have thought based on the book description, but I added it to my Kindle and read it anyway. I have no idea why it doesn’t have great reviews! Other than a few editorial errors, I thought it was a great story with wonderful characters and I adored it. Immediately after finishing, I bought the rest of the books in this series (Wheel of Crowns, 6 books total). I read the remaining 4 books in 3 days, they are that good! I highly recommend, and I cannot wait for the last book to come out in September!
I thought this book would bore me but I fell in love with it. I was sad it had to end with first book. But I’m currently reading the second one and I love it too!
I am so happy I found this book! There are so many great characters, I’m looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
For people who enjoy buddy stories, it is great. The characters say raunchy things, but there is no graphic sex. Fun dialogue
Liked this book a lot and want to read more in the series.
I liked this book a lot even though I wanted to smack the main character in the face a few times.
I got this as a freebie and subsequently devoured it in a single night (fast reader). I then bought the second book off amazon. Haven’t read it (yet) but it’s been an addict’s itch.
I love it strong female lead and alpha Male. It is what you were missing.
it read easy and I cannot leave the story alone must read till the end
Great book. Some pretty intense moments. I would definitely recommend this book.
The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge is book one in the Wheel of Crowns series. I loved this book. It wasn’t like most supernatural books. I loved that this series is set in the southern part of the United States. She wrote the Southern draw perfectly. I read this book in less than 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. It has 34 chapters so it’s definitely not a short book. I can’t wait to check out what else Brandi Elledge has written.
I really really really enjoyed this book! If you’re a fan of YA Fantasy/PNR books, this book is definitely for you. I can’t wait for the next one!
I give The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1) by Brandi Elledge, 4 stars.
Sadie is a high school senior living in a community of witches. The only thing is, she’s a null — no powers at all. Then all of the sudden strangers show up in her town and weird things start happening. People are suddenly out to get her, telling her how powerful she really is. Crazy things start happening, a man who claims he is a werewolf is so hot he’s to die for, and she learns things are not really as it seems. Can she trust this good looking man? Can she help them? Is she really this powerful? Seems like her senior year won’t be as boring as it seems.
This is a young adult novel only because of the age of the characters. But thankfully, it does not include any of those whiny teenagers that tend to plague some YA books. Being that I am far from being a young adult anymore, this is a blessing to me. The characters are fun, real, and great. I hope to see more of them in future books. The story itself is very interesting and pulls you right in. There are twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat too.
Overall, I found this a very entertaining and exciting book to read and I highly recommend it.
The Werewolf Queen is the first book in the Wheel of Crowns Series and its the first book that i have read by this author. I couldn’t put this one down, i devoured it and didn’t want it to end. I enjoyed the main characters and i loved the main male lead. He is the perfect definition of alpha male and i couldn’t get enough. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i would recommend this to a friend!

The Werewolf Queen is the first book that I have read by this author and it was a fantastic read. I was completely captivated by the original storyline that she had created.
