This story can be found in the Something True series. The novel can be read as a standalone. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading The Dating Arrangement before reading this title.
Grace makes happy endings easier for all the brides she works with. She wants someday to have an HEA of her own. Right now the only man that makes her sizzle when she thinks of him is Xander. Yet, he is supposed to be off limits.
Xander did not expect to run into Grace. When an incident happens, he becomes very protective and he is not sure why. He has always been attracted to her, but he is sure she will never give him the time of day. How do you change a stubborn woman’s mind?
This book was what traditional romance should be. These characters are rich, deep and compelling. I loved that they were opposites, who cannot stop thinking about each other. The chemistry for them is strong. The heat in his story is on par and sizzles throughout the book. This author is a 1-click for me and after reading this, I am sure you can see why.

You should never judge a person by first impressions.
Yes, there was definitely a zing, a spark when she first met Zander, but Grace Harris felt the two of them were destined to be enemies. After all she is a wedding planner and Alexander “Zander” Ryan is a divorce attorney. Those two occupations go together like trying to blend oil and water. But she is bride Emerson DeWitt’s best friend and Znder is groom Jack Wright’s best friend and they need to get along, at least be polite to each other, for their best friends’ sakes. Now she has been asked to be Emerson’s maid of honor and Zander has been asked to be Jack’s best man. Oh no! That means seeing each other more than they would like. Or would they like that more than they first thought? After all there is that mutual attraction to each other. What to do! What to do!
Grace finds herself starting to like “Mr. Negative” Zander. They have been getting to know each other better with all the these meetings and get-togethers for the wedding. Not to mention what happened when they got locked in together in the supply closet at the wedding venue when the bride and groom were touring the rest of the winery with the winery’s owner. Zander sure is growing on her. Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing?
The Wedding Truce by Kerri Carpenter is the second book in her Something True series. The two main characters, Grace and Zander, first met in the first book in the series, The Dating Arrangement. (It is not necessary to read the first book to enjoy this one.) It was a memorable first meeting. They both come from messed-up childhood backgrounds which greatly affects their relationship, especially in the beginning. I really enjoyed these two characters. They are both strong, independent and have issues. How they work through those issues makes this a very interesting read. Seeing so much of the two main characters from the first book in the series added to my enjoyment of this book. Kerri Carpenter is a new-to-me author but I have now added her to my “must-read” list. Readers have to wait until later in 2020 to read the next book in the series. I’m sure it will be as much an enjoyable read as this book was.
