“I adored The Wedding Shop! Rachel Hauck has created a tender, nostalgic story, weaving together two pairs of star-crossed lovers from the present and the past with the magical space that connects them. So full of heart and heartache and redemption, this book is one you’ll read long into the night, until the characters become your friends, and Heart’s Bend, Tennessee, your second hometown.” —Beatriz Williams, New York Times bestselling author
“The Wedding Shop is the kind of book I love, complete with flawed yet realistic characters, dual timelines that intersect unexpectedly, a touch of magic, and a large dose of faith. Two breathtaking romances are the perfect bookends for this novel about love, forgiveness, and following your dreams. And a stunning, antique wedding dress with a secret of its own. This is more than just a good read—it’s a book to savor.” —Karen White, New York Times bestselling author
This sweet, split-time romance is a standalone novel that can also be read as a companion novel with New York Times bestseller The Wedding Dress. Includes discussion questions.

This book written by Rachel Hauck is an amazing tale of redemption, forgiveness, and love that spans multiple generations. The Wedding Shop was built to help brides find their perfect dress and trousseau and make them feel beautiful and their day special. Miss Cora ran the shop for over 50 years and took it over from Jane who had the shop built for this purpose initially in the late 1800s. Cora Scott had suffered heartbreak and betrayal and wasn’t sure she would ever find true love again or that she even deserved it.
Haley has come home after serving six years in the military and she was heartbroken after a disastrous relationship and she was questioning her worth and whether or not she deserved to have a forever love. She felt a strong connection to the Shop and was determined to renovate the Shop and make it a successful business.
This story was a clean Christian romance that was beautifully written. I felt a connection to the characters and had a hard time putting the book down. The story boomeranged back and forth between the different time periods sharing the connections these characters had and the similarity of their stories.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This third book in the Wedding series was wonderful! I liked the eventual tie ins with the first 2 books, yet it was definitely its own story. And what a story! The Wedding Shop was a staple of downtown Heart’s Bend, Tennessee back in the day. Now it is set to be razed for a parking lot. That is until Haley comes back home and revives her childhood pledge to open it again. Fighting the big developers, city management, and even her mother to acquire it is quite a journey. The back story of her mother’s opposition was a surprise. I loved how the story flowed from past to present and back many times. The ending was so satisfying and repeats the forgiveness and redemption from the first 2 books. A really enjoyable series!
I enjoyed this book very much. Listened on audio; Wendy Lanzl’s narration is wonderful. She also narrated Rachel Hauck’s, The Writing Desk, too (which I also loved & laughed a lot.) Anyway, this is my fifth Rachel Hauck book; I want to read all of her books now. I just gave my paperback version of The Wedding Dress to a friend and she’s loving it. Anyway, back to this book. It’s the third book of this series. They’re all great. I thought The Wedding Dress would be my favorite, but goodness The Wedding Shop was wonderful. At first, the stories might seem a little “too light” for some readers, but Rachel builds depth with each chapter. The connections to the stories of the previous two books in the series are delightful and there are many wonderful passages. Rachel Hauck is masterful in creating surprises for the reader. She’s also great at combining sheer reading pleasure with a story that delivers insights & lessons readers can relate to and ponder for personal growth.
This is my personal favorite of the series. Each book could be read as a stand alone, but I think the series is enjoyable enough that it should be read in order. I particularly enjoyed chapter 20 and feel it would give a book club much to discuss. There’s a recurrence of “the purple man” from The Wedding Dress in this book. I wasn’t thrilled with that literary device in that book. I’m not inclined to appreciate the inference that he is a theophany. That’s a bit too far out there theologically, in my opinion. Other than that, I enjoyed this book. I listened through the Audible Escape package—well narrated.
I really enjoy Rachel Hauck’s books. I like how she ties the different time periods and characters together. I look forward to reading another one of her books!
Love the plot!
Wonderful book. I highly recommend!
All three of the books in this series were great!! My book club read it and gave it five stars!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was eager to read it since I also enjoyed The Wedding Dress. A special treat to have Charlotte return in this book to give help and encouragement. Was sorry for this to end.
You just HAVE to read it! Enough twists and turns to keep you going until the very end.
I liked the book. It was a little slow at the beginning but it got interesting as the story developed. I enjoyed themes of challenges viewed from Christian faith perspective. Themes of love and resilience were inspiring. My favorite character was Cora Beth Scott who inherited and managed the shop circa 1930’s. Her tenacity and generosity were a central part of her character and I was happy she discovered what love really is. I don’t want to spoil the story by telling future readers how she matured and overcame challenges. I recommend it. You will arrive to your own conclusions . There is also a contemporary heroine who will add her own charm to the story.
Rachel weaves such wonderful stories and she uses (not sure what they call it but I call it Time Warp) to tell two stories in different eras about the same object, or in this case the Shop. Her characters are always believable.
This book had me looking for more by Rachel Hauke

Ex! I would highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed this novel very much. Found it difficult to stop reading and clean my house!!!
As always the authors characters are real, you can see the story in your head with a complete picture painted in words. Always a joy to read.
I have read two books by this author and found both easy to read and somewhat predictable but having a few unexpected surprises
I didn’t think I was going to like this, took me a little bit to sort out the story line, but once I did I loved it.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that they would enjoy so much that they would not put it down. That is the way I felt! Someone asked me on day what I was reading and I was so excited about telling her. It really was believable!
