Review:
The characters are well developed and well rounded. Tess and Tony are perfect for each other and I enjoy getting to spend time with them. Mike and Bree are having trouble starting a family, and Tess wants to be there for them and help them as much as she can.
The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. The mystery was intriguing and kept me engaged throughout the entire book.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. There is so much going on for Tess and Tony and do not want to miss out.
Plans are in the making for Tess and Tony with a secret wedding coming up and a visit from his beloved Nona. Tess is nervous about meeting Nona but has a new job to keep her busy. As a new member of the search and rescue team, she and another team member come across a dismembered body in the woods while out on a search. Tess is pulled into the investigation as Mike works on it. In addition, Tess and Mike have an important decision to make.
Kathi Daley does not disappoint. I love this series and this book is no exception. This book is well-written with well-rounded characters and relationships that are well-done. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. There were a lot of twists and turns and surprises along the way as I read the book. You’ll be pulled into the town with all its residents and be right there with Tess and the others. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
The Wedding Plan is book ten in the Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery series. Another great story in this series. I just love that the series carries on so I can enjoy it for a long time. Can’t wait for more from this author.
In this next book of the series Tess is starting her new job and trying to get used to all the new changes she has made in her life. She is enjoying her new job and hopes to be able to find a puppy that she will be able to partner with for the new rescue they will opening. She has also been giving some thought to the upcoming meet with her father, she wonders why he is willing now. With so much going it doesn’t help that while helping out with a rescue that she found the remains of a man. She soon realized the man wasn’t killed by a wild animal but a human. She can’t get the dead man out of her head and can’t stop herself from trying to help figure out just what happened to him. Throw in two murders, health issues, death, and the mystery surrounding her dad and you have a great plot with some intriguing characters. Looking forward to what the future holds for all of the great characters I have come to love in this great series.
The Wedding Plan earns 5/5 Tattoos…Engaging Fun!
Tess Thomas has resigned from her mail carrier position she’d had for ten years, and made a leap of faith by going full-time at the local reinvented animal shelter and going forward to be an active member of a search and rescue team. Tilly is too old to be trained as her S&R partner, so seeking a new, younger, dog is on the “must have” list. Will Tilly, her Golden Retriever sidekick, be content with the changes? Tess volunteered to help with the search for a missing ten-year-old as one who knows the area well, but luck has been elusive. Lizzy and her rescue dog Poppy join Tess in her designated area, and Poppy barks and heads off seemingly having picked up a scent. They follow. However, it isn’t the boy they find; it is an adult who appears to have been purposely dismembered, and like a puzzle, some parts are missing. But Tess recognizes the tattoo on the arm as one she saw years ago on a man who her father knew, a man who died long ago. The missing boy was found safe, so the search was a success in that way, but this body looks like murder, and once again may be linked to Tess and Mike’s father…will they ever get complete answers?
Page-Turner! Kathi Daley has transformed her Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery from a mail carrier to animal activist and search and rescue trainee. This side story offers an interesting book club topic dealing with the impact on our “fur friends” when humans make life changing decisions. Through the ten-book series, the mystery surrounding Tess’s dad has slowing evolved, but this book has it as a key compelling part of this drama, and suspicions, facts, and details are revisited. Kathi Daley’s engaging writing style is descriptive and always includes everyday life to better understand and relate to her characters. The dialogue is informative with conversations to update details about the murder investigation, victims, and various theories, but also to explore ins and outs of the animal shelter, rescuing injured and abandoned cats and dogs, training dogs, introducing a new puppy into the family dynamic, and…Shhhh! personal secrets.
Thank you Kathi Daley for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own. I love this series and the characters and dogs. It’s been fun to see Tess’s evolution in both her career and her personal life. Tess is starting her new job learning to train search and rescue dogs, planning her own secret wedding to Tony, her brother Mike and Bree’s baby desires, and getting a search and rescue dog of her own. Of course there is a mystery that Tess also jumps into. I do recommend starting the series from the beginning so that you can understand the part of the story that is ongoing. Each book does have an ending – it’s just that the mystery surrounding Tess and Mike’s father is ongoing.
Another great episode in the life of Tess and Tony and family!
The Wedding Plan is the tenth fantastic episode in the Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery series. This book is filled with the elements of a cozy mystery including suspense, romance, love, friends and family, and a sense of community.
I love the way Ms. Daley writes in a continuing saga fashion with hints and clues to stories in the future (and red herrings). I love that not all questions are resolved in each book. As always, her writing flows smoothly, and her setting and relatable characters make for an extremely enjoyable read. I am looking forward to the next book in this series!
Awesome mystery/romance by a wonderful author.
The Wedding Plan ( Tess and Lilly Cozy Mystery #10 )
By: Kathi Daley
The Wedding Plan is book ten in the series Tess and Lilly Cozy Mystery. Love the story and the characters, both are well written. Tess starts a new job. Wedding plans, secrets, action, page turner, murder, and a new member comes into the family. A Young boy is missing and of course there is murder in the story. The author keeps you guessing till the end. If you love a good cozy mystery , then be sure and grab you a copy of The Wedding Plan.
Tess and Tony are trying really hard to pull off a secret wedding with only closest friends and family, but fate has a way of sticking its nose in the middle of things and it is on a roll in this one.
First, an unexpected and very strange discovery during a search and rescue operation turns into a murder investigation that seems to have something to do with Tess’s father, causing her to wonder if he is on the side of the angels or of the murderers.
Then getting the wedding arranged with Tony’s Nona coming in from Italy and not giving the secret away to anyone proves to be a lot more complicated and emotional than they had expected.
Meanwhile, Tess has just started her new job at the animal shelter and finds herself juggling way too many plates.
The Wedding Plan is a fun, though emotional, mystery with lots of twists and turns.
I highly recommend it.
The Wedding Plan is the tenth book in Kathi Daley’s Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery series. I love all of the wonderful characters as well as the charming setting. Once again, Ms. Daley has provided readers with a clean, fun read, with caring and compassionate characters, intriguing mysteries, and adorable fur babies. The author’s smooth writing style flows at a steady pace, the characters are three dimensional and affable, and the storyline is well-plotted and interesting. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy reading well-crafted cozy mysteries.
Until recently, Tess Thomas and her dog, Tilly, delivered mail in the small community of White Eagle, Montana, but now, Tess is working full-time for Brady Baker, the local veterinarian and shelter owner, at the animal shelter and is in charge of overseeing the basic training for the dogs and placement of the shelter’s residents in forever homes. A major expansion of the shelter is underway that will include permanent housing for hard to place animals, and search and rescue training. When Tess learns that a ten-year-old boy has gone missing, she volunteers to join the search and is present when one of the search and rescue dogs makes a gruesome discovery. Unknown to most of their family and friends, Tess and Tony Marconi are planning their wedding, and Tony’s grandmother, who lives in Italy, is planning to visit them. Tess and her brother, Mike, are looking forward to meeting with their dad, who they once thought to be deceased, and hope to get at least a few answers to their many questions.
