He only wants revenge. She only wants him. When an opportunity to take everything from the powerful family who destroyed his mother’s life falls into Caleb Moore’s lap, he needs help from the one person with more power and money than they have—business mogul, Audrey Clarke. The trick is getting her attention. So he approaches the infamous ice queen with an unusual proposition: marriage. The odds … proposition: marriage.
The odds of a snowball surviving in hell are better than the chances of a rich, classy lady like Audrey Clarke marrying a mechanic from the wrong side of the tracks. He only hopes that she might consider a business partnership when she’s finished laughing at his marriage proposal.
He never expects her to say yes—or that the ice queen could burn so hot. Because Audrey Clarke isn’t cold at all. And if Caleb’s not careful, the only thing he’ll give her on their wedding night…is a broken heart.
This book was originally titled “The Wedding Night Before Christmas” and was published in February 2019.

THE WEDDING NIGHT is a hot and passionate holiday romance with characters that have intriguing qualities I haven’t seen in the many other books I have read. Having deficient childhoods was not unusual, but how they impacted the characters in later life is.
Audrey is the most interesting character. She is not only well written, but Kati Wilde is so good at being in the character’s head that Audrey is consistent in her unique behavior characteristics from beginning to end. Wilde uses Caleb to decode Audrey’s feelings for the reader.
Besides being a master in the carnal arts, Caleb is an ideal man. He’s humble, grounded, has great abs, not afraid to show his devotion to Audrey, loyal, honest and not only physically protective of her, but psychologically protective of her. The premise of the story is based on him receiving an unwanted and unexpected inheritance from his absent father’s family.
So if you want a steamy yet thought provoking book that takes place at Christmas, you will be pleased with this one. Read it.
4.5 Stars!
This was so much more than I was expecting. I went into this book thinking it was going to be more like an Alexa Riley book, but was pleasantly surprised with how much more depth there was to this couple. Don’t get me wrong, I like those short OTT AR books, but I do prefer a bit more to the story as well.
Audrey was such an interesting heroine. She’s a self made billionaire who suffers from some social issues. She is not autistic but has a few similar characteristics. The way she has dealt with some of her social disconnect is to… well, disconnect. To others, Audrey comes off as an ice queen. In reality she has learned to control her reactions.
Audrey excels at business because she can be as blunt as she wants and it’s normal. Expected even. In a social setting, it’s a different story. She isn’t comfortable with casual touch. She struggles with chaotic surroundings and sometimes she can focus too much on one thing that causes her to space out.
This is the kind of character I love to root for. I want to see her find that one man that will see beyond her limits to the woman that she really is. This is where Caleb comes in. He’s got a business proposition for Audrey and doesn’t even realize the effect he has on her.
Caleb became a great hero because of Audrey. She made him a character that really stood out because of how he was with her. Place him with your typical heroine and there wouldn’t be anything that stood out about him. Next to Audrey, he shined.
There were a few cheesy moments, especially towards the end, but I don’t even care. I was already loving this couple and was so happy to see them be happy. Great read!
Absolutely adore this charmer. The heroine alone is enough of a reason to buy the book, but the hero is also fabulous.
Kind of a schizophrenic book: a little revenge, NA, and lots as in LOTS of raunchy sex in an almost Sam Crescent style minus all the sperm.
Heroine verges somewhere on the Asperger’s spectrum, and H is a hunky mechanic in search of revenge against the rich family that made his mother’s life a misery.
Very enjoyable. And steamy! Caleb was awesome. H realized that Audrey just needed to be seen and accepted for all her quirks. He did that for her, which allowed her to blossom.
I absolutely adored this Christmas romance! Sweet, beautiful, and so romantic.
Wow… Just WOW. I simply adored this story. It’s beautifully written and so easy to read, the characters feel so real and have you going through every emotion right along with them.
And what characters they are… Aubrey the rich businesswoman and Caleb the mechanic, a true opposites attract love story.
Five star worthy, has a great story line and a ridiculous amount of steam. I loved it.
