A sweet and gentle slow-paced romance, to relax and unwind with…
You never forget your first love…
With her eye for design and her cut-glass accent, no-one would guess Beth Forrest’s impoverished background. It’s all throw pillows, china patterns, and upper class brides as she manages the Wedding Registry at Pettett & Mayfield, the stately maiden aunt of London department stores. It’s … department stores. It’s not quite her dream job, but each bride she helps to select beautiful and oh-so-expensive items for their gift list brings her one step closer to buying a little home of her own, and financing the education she longs for.
When physics professor James Tetherton-Hart, brilliant in his research lab but awkward and disorganised in everyday life, comes to the store in desperate need of both a gift and a partner for a wedding that evening and recognises her, all her careful plans and meticulous checklists are turned upside down.
Now her first love is back, determined to make her his partner for life, not just the evening. But unless Beth can let go of the mistaken beliefs that separated them in the past, and appreciate the depth and breadth of God’s love for us all, her only gift from the wedding will be another heartbreak.

I believe this was the first book I read by Autumn Macarthur, and I loved it! I read most of her books afterwards. The Wedding List is a wonderful love story with a loveable hero, a realistic heroine, and a great spiritual message. This is one of the books that not only I enjoy reading it, I learn a valuable lesson from it, too, and grow as a …
The Wedding List by Autumn Macarthur
I absolutely loved this story. Such wonderful personalities and some not so much, at first. James and Beth have known each other most of their lives and have been through so much. Keeping faith and overcoming fear. I really enjoyed reading this. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to more …
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A Christian romance book. This story is set in a London department store and Beth works as the wedding registry manager. She looks forward to buying a home of her own by herself. A wrench is thrown into her plans when an ex comes into the store, he is a believer and he is …
The Wedding list is a sweet, second chance romance set in London at a once grand department store. Beth comes from an impoverish background. James comes from wealth but socially is a bumbling and awkward, yet brilliant in his research lab. James is in dire need of a wedding gift and a date for said wedding. When he recognizes Beth he persuades her …
Definitely a Christian story. They pray, go to church, and there is a scene in the church with a sermon and Bible verses quoted.
The characters were well done. Most of the conflict is within their own minds. This story isn’t one where an open conversation will fix everything.
Have you ever felt everyone looked down on you and life was never going to give you a break?
The first line of this book shows you just how bad Beth’s life is and how it feels like there is just no end in sight:
“Most days, Beth Forrest loved her job. After wearing a scratchy polyester wedding dress splattered with fake blood for eight hours, …
It’s a rocky road for Beth and James. Will they make it? Is the past too much to overcome? You need to read to find out. Highly recommend. I loved it!
This was a sweet easy read romance.
I really enjoyed this story! I loved how Beth had to look inside herself and come to some hard realizations. I think her thoughts and fears were some that plague many of us! The only thing that might have improved it would be an Epilogue.
Harassing customers and embarrassing costume parties lead to sweet romance in this inspirational story from Autumn MacArthur.
