I can’t believe I have to go home to Nebraska for my sister’s wedding. I’m gonna need a wingman and a whole lot of vodka for this level of family interaction. At least my bestie agreed he’d man up and help. Too bad he had to catch a different flight than me. Then his plane got delayed. And finally–because bad things always happen in threes–instead of my best friend, his evil twin strolls out of … of the airport.
If you looked up doesn’t-deserve-to-be-that-confident, way-too-hot-for-his-own-good billionaire in the dictionary, you’d find a picture of Will Holt. He’s awful. Horrible. The worst–even if his butt looks phenomenal in those jeans.
Ten times worse? My buffer was supposed to be there to keep me away from the million and one family events. But Satan’s spawn just grins and signs us up for every. Single. Thing.
Fine. “Cutthroat” Scrabble? I’m in. I can’t wait to take this guy down a notch.
But somewhere between Pictionary and the teasing glint in his eyes, our bickering starts to feel like more than just a game…

Webster Holt and Hadley Donovan are best friends, but Web is a twin and his twin, Will Holt thinks Hadley is after Web for the family fortunes.
When Hadley has to return to her Nebraska for her little sisters country wedding, Web agrees to go along as her fake boyfriend. Will gets roped into replacing Web (Web develops food-poisioning) but Will detests Hadley and the feeling is mutual.
As soon as Will is standing in front of Hadley at the airport, she can detect the slight difference in the twins and is livid. But Will promises to be on his best behavior, plus he feels this is the best way to break up the ‘friendship between Web and Hadley.
There are many assumptions, misunderstandings and lots of interfering family members, but the biggest obstacles to both Will and Hadley are… Will and Hadley. Will can’t get beyond his family money and Hadley can’t let go of her fake it until you make it shield.
I’m happy to say, that Will and Hadley get their HEA, after letting down their shields and being completely open with each other and accepting each other “as is”.
Mrs. Flynn has done again, this book is wonderful. I enjoyed every word in it.
Loved chemistry between Hadley and Will. Loved what Web, did for them.
The enemies to lovers trope, was not my favorite, but this book changed my mind.
OMG – make sure you don’t drink while you read. You’ll end up snorting most of it out with the shenanigans the family get up to! Family fun night in our house has nothing on Hadley’s blended family!
Hadley loves her job. She gets to hep people by planning donations from charitable foundations. But her nemesis is totally cramping her style! She loves Web bot his brother, Will, AKA EvilTwin, has decided she’s trouble and a gold-digger. Web is like her brother – blurrergh! But even though Will is Web’s identical twin, in temperament that are poles apart!
Adding stress in Hadley’s life in the impending trip home for her sister’s wedding. So losing her job after an altercation with Will is the icing on the turd cake! But when Web gets sick and Will attends in his place, Hadley nears blast-off proportions in anger!
There follows an humourous, romantic, heartfelt, heartbreaking week in the wilds of Alaska. Hadley and Will learn more about each other and try to put aside all the assumptions they made about each other. But can the little spark between them fan into an inferno or will it be snuffed out before it can take hold?
Soooo hoping Will, Adalyn and maybe even PawPaw get a story too!
The Wedding Date Disaster is a really good example of reading away a few hours without a care! Where laughter, tears and a whole lot of family drama is the order of the day.
Hadley is returning to Nebraska for her sister’s wedding. Needing a date, her best friend Web steps in to help. Yeah right!! Enter the evil twin, Will. Mmwahaha!
Their week long ‘adventure’ is one to be envied…maybe!!?
It is certainly one of self-discovery, loyalty, family and love, even for three legged strays on this remote, Nebraskan ranch.
Avery Flynn is a master at producing highly readable romcoms and The Wedding Date Disaster definitely fits the bill.
Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
