** A Classic Romance Fiction Bestseller **Maid of honor Sarah Carlton hasn’t failed at anything since her high school science project was sabotaged by a relentless competitor. So, she’ll do whatever it takes to make her best friend Jill’s wedding absolutely perfect. That includes taking the next flight out of Sacramento to retrieve the panicked bride’s cherished family wedding charm from her late … from her late grandmother’s attic in Atlanta Georgia.
Unfortunately, someone else has offered to come to the bride’s rescue—best man Ben Atkins, the same man who destroyed Sarah’s high school science project all those years ago. Now he wants to one-up her by retrieving the charm first? Sarah refuses to let that happen. The race is on.
When Sarah and Ben arrive in Atlanta, instead of finding the wedding charm there’s a letter from the bride’s grandmother directing the bride and groom to complete a series of tasks in order to prove their commitment to each other. With the wedding only two days away, Sarah and Ben must join forces by pretending to be the bride and groom in order to earn the wedding charm. Should be a cinch. After all, how hard can it be to fake true love for forty-eight hours?

The Ben who’s been her sworn enemy and fiercest competition since elementary school. But for Jill and Ryan’s wedding, she’ll suck it up and play nice. Someone left the wedding charm at Jill’s deceased grandmother’s house in Atlanta, and Jill can’t get married without that little piece of tradition. Sarah and Ben both offer to go get it. And the competition is on. Can they work together? Will they get the charm back to California in time for the wedding? This book is so cute, you just know that Sarah and Ben have the hots for each other, even as they both deny any such thing. This is a terrific enemies-to-lovers story, so enjoyable to see them head for their own happy ending.

Romantic quest
It’s a good tender and simple romance, with very good characters.
They seem to hate each other and find themselves having to look for an old family object for the future bride of the marriage of which they are groomsman and bridesmaid. She hates Ben because he spent their childhood annoying her, but at the same time, she has a crush on him since high school, while hating him for what he did to her. But to save the marriage of their friends, they discover that they must simulate being the bride and her groom and perform 3 actions that would prove their attachment.

The author continues to give us characters that we can care about. Even though the characters misunderstand each other, this story brings them together.

Sweet, Funny, Romantic. Such a romantic, uplifting story. Sarah and Ben have known each other since kindergarten. Ben was always picking on Sarah and ruining things for her all through until high school, but she secretly had a crush on him. Now they are the best man and maid of honor to their friends, and they have two days to retrieve a charm for the bride, and to do this they have to pretend to be engaged and complete three tasks proving they love each other. But how will Ben pretend when he doesn’t believe in love and marriage? The things these two do for the tasks they have to complete were hilarious. And fall in live while doing so? Sarah was to be the maid-of-honor at her best friend’s wedding. Yet her joy was short-lived when they announced the best man would be her childhood enemy, Ben Atkins. Ben had nicknamed her “dimples” in the first grade, much to her embarrassment. He had pulled her ponytails through elementary school, had been elected president in high school instead of her – and she had a crush on him for the past decade!
At the rehearsal, Jill burst into tears and told them she didn’t have the wedding charm that all of the women in her family carried at their wedding. It was her “something old” piece, but her grandmother had died and her aunt didn’t go in the house to get it – so it was still in Atlanta! Both speaking at once, Sarah and Ben offered to go get the charm for her. Sarah realized at once that this was something she could beat Ben at to even the score between them!
But when Sarah and Ben arrive in Atlanta, Jill’s grandmother had left a letter for the bride and groom to complete three tasks, proving their love and commitment to each other, and then they will find the charm. They have only two days until the wedding, so they pretend to be the bride and groom to work together on the tasks. It was a worthwhile project, because as they worked together, it taught them something that could make a difference in their own lives.
This author writes terrific stories that touch the heart and rouse the emotions. This was a sweet story line, but Sarah had to be blind to never recognize that teasing from a boy is pretty much an admission that he cares for her. The characters were well-portrayed and the humor throughout is my favorite way to read this kind of book. Grab your copy and see if they get the charm back to the wedding in time to save the day!
This was fun and funny! The antics that are played in this just to retrieve a wedding charm is hilarious. As crazy as Sarah and Ben’s competition tendencies are, you can tell there are intense feelings there. It’s a hate/love relationship of sorts and more of the love comes out as they have to jump through hoops for the charm. It was sweet and funny but also showed the kind of loyalty they have towards their friends.

You can’t go wrong when you pick up a copy of one of Susan Hatler’s books. So well written you’ll feel like you’re in story right beside the characters. Her characters are so well developed you’ll find they are easy to fall in love with and they feel like family. Definitely a fun, entertaining and enjoyable read. Trust me, you don’t want to let this book slip by.

Sarah Carlton and Ben Atkins have known each other since grade school. She always thought that Ben hated her because he always picked on her.
Years later, Sarah was Jills her maid of honor . They were best friends and Sarah would do anything to ensure her wedding went off without a hitch. Ben was Ryans best man at the wedding and would not let him down.
Jills grandmother had a piece of jewelry that was handed down throughout the generations. If you wore this then you would have a very happy marriage. However, her grandmother passed away and the jewelry was in Atlanta Georgia and there was no time to retrieve it.
When Sarah and Ben agreed to go get it, they did not know that there was three tasks that had to be preformed in order to retrieve this piece.
Will Sarah and Ben get it and return in time for the wedding or was it to be cursed?

Such a lovely story. Ben and Sarah have known each other since elementary school. Sarah believes he hates her and is constantly ambushing her. Ben has been trying to get her to see the good in him.
As Best Man and Maid of Honour they fly to Atlanta for the bride as her family’s wedding charm never made it. Once in Atlanta they find that the brides Grandmother had set three tasks to be completed. These tasks would test their ability to stay married. Ben and Sarah jump into the role and learn so much about each other on their journey.
A truly heartwarming and entertaining story.
This was such a fun story to read. Both Ben and Sarah are hunting for the same charm for their friends wedding, and both are determined to be the one to find it. Game on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Upon arriving at grandma’s to pick up the charm, they find themselves on a treasure hunt intended for the bride and groom. I loved it and will read more by Susan Hatler.

In order to save their best friends’ wedding, Sarah and Ben are sent on a scavenger hunt proving “the bride and groom’s” true love. This book takes the things I love best about fake relationships and mixes them with my favorite parts of the enemies to lovers theme. What we get is a story that reminds me somewhat of the game Clue, minus the murder part of the mystery. I mostly adored the book. Sarah comes on a little too strong in the beginning and I thought she was an obnoxious know-it-all. (But that could just be my own hang-ups showing through.) I thought it was pretty easy to see what was behind Ben’s behavior, so I was baffled by her reactions to it. That frustration meant it took some extra time before I fully connected with the story. Once I got into it, I thought it was one of the fun-est, funniest books I’ve read in a while.
Easy light read.
It was a fun read!
Finding the wedding charm for the bride to be leads to the best man and made of honor falling in love!
Cute story
Ok
Susan Hatler is usually a favorite, but I couldn’t get past the first few chapters. A lot of repetition, and I don’t like plots based upon a lie.
