Claire Davenport is a hopeless romantic who shared her first kiss with Alex Murphy during a game of Spin the Bottle. Only Alex never pursued her after their kissing session and Claire regrets not telling him about her crush. At twenty-seven, no boyfriends have captured her heart in the same way. Still, she hasn’t given up on finding the one. Unfortunately, Forever Designs, her boutique wedding … dress business, is accumulating more bills than invoices so love has to take a backseat for now.
When a famous model books Claire to design her wedding dress, she jumps at the opportunity only to find out the client is her childhood best friend and rival, Missy Peters. Claire and Missy’s friendship imploded when Missy stole Claire’s high school boyfriend. To save her business, Claire has no choice, but to work with Missy. To Claire’s surprise, the best man turns out to be Alex Murphy. Gone is the skinny boy with the awkward-but-endearing kisses. Alex is now a sexy scientist, who for some reason seems determined to stop the wedding, which Claire can’t let happen.
Now, Claire must design the perfect dress for demanding Missy, while at the same time countering Alex’s attempts to break up the bride and groom. Can Claire convince Alex to give Missy and her fiancé a chance, and that true love is possible? And can she do it without him breaking her heart all over again?

Cute and fun
I always enjoy revisiting Blue Moon Bay and its characters.
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Part of a series: Kissed by the Bay
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading the other books in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
Another fun installment in the series. Rich character development, great setting, brings together previous characters and this one has strong personal growth for both main characters. Definitely fun for the sun of summer.
Another really fun book by Susan Hatler. What I really liked about this book is that there weren’t too many secondary characters to keep track of. The story really was about the main characters and only a few other secondary characters that kept the story flowing. As always, the author writes only what is necessary with no long-winded descriptions and a down-to-earth writing style. I enjoyed the humorous moments and the characters were fun. It’s sweet, clean romance and well worth the read. I recommend it.
I truly enjoyed reading it!
It is a engaging story,
about a second chance romance.
While playing spin the bottle at
Alex’s party, fate choice Claire,
to be his first kiss. But after that
night, he acted like Claire, didn’t
even exist. Years later, she was
shocked when Alex, walked through
the door of her shop. Their first kiss
was something she’s never forgotten.
Another great book in the series.
I loved everything about this must
read story!!

Rating:
I enjoyed this story a bunch. It was well made. The story flowed well and kept my attention throughout. It had a great plot which resolved amazingly. The characters were a lot of fun. They felt real. I loved how they met as teenagers. All of Alex’s antics were hilarious.
The story follows Claire. She still hasn’t found her happily ever after. Most of her friends have found the “‘ one.” All she gets are people who want her to pay. There is one thing in her love life though. She kissed Alex in seventh grade and has always liked him after that. Now they meet during Claire’s ex-best friend Missy’s wedding. Missy wants Claire to design her dress. Alex starts trying to ruin Missy’s wedding. Claire figures that out and tries to stop him. Then they both start falling in love with each other.
I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.
When you have a wedding dress designer who believes in a HEA and a best man who is trying to put a kink in the happy day be prepared for a a journey that will take you on a wild ride. Add they have a history together then you have a story for the ages.

This is the seventh book in the Kissed By the Bay series which is a second chance romance involving Clare Davenport, who agrees to design a wedding dress for her childhood friend now a celebrity model, and Alex Murphy, best man at his cousin’s wedding who attempts to sabotage the ceremony. This is another great romance by Susan Hatler which has humor, a great plot, amazing characters, and wonderful romance. I highly recommend this book.

Forever in a Kiss is the seventh book in the Kissed by the Bay series. It was a fun book to read and fast-paced. The characters were charming and so believable. The book was full of humor and I smiled the entire book. It was a perfect book if you are looking for a light, funny romance to read on a nice summer day.
This is book seven in the Kissed by the Bay series. Spin the Bottle, the childhood game that can make your heart explode in happiness or rip it out. It was the second option for Claire. She has her first kiss with Alex during this game but there is where it ended. Now she has her own wedding boutique called Forever Designs which she may lose soon. One day, in comes a perfect client financially but too bad its Missy, her ex childhood friend. This wedding also brings Alex back into her life. Claire and Alex want different outcomes for the bride and groom. Is this a second chance to spill her feelings? An entertaining read that leaves you with a warm, cozy feeling of love at the end. Enjoy!

Forever in a kiss is book #7 in the Kissed by the Bay series.
Claire Davenport is the owner of Forever Designs. This is a boutique wedding dress business. It is in trouble as the boutique is not making money that she needs to stay open. As luck has it, her childhood friend, Missy, has booked her to do her dress.
Alex Murphy is the best man and has been trying to break up Missy and her fiance. Claire had a huge crush on him in school and it never went away. She never let Alex or anyone know about it and now she had a second chance at him.
Will Alex split up the wedding and let Charlie in or will it be a bust?

Claire Davenport shared her first kiss with Alex Murphy during a game of Spin the Bottle back when they were 12 years old. That set the bar for all other guys, despite the fact that was 15 years ago now.
Claire is now a wedding dress designer whose business could use some publicity. When she is contacted by Missy, a former schoolmate-now-celebrity model to design her wedding dress, it could be just what she needs! A huge surprise for Claire is that it turns out Missy is marrying Alex’s cousin. Alex is the best man but doesn’t believe in true forever love, so he wants to sabotage the wedding which will hurt Claire’s business opportunity! She tried to talk to the stubborn man all the way up to his lab in the elevator, but he did not see love as anything that would last. She knew how very alone that would make him feel. She has to make him see that love is a commitment of the heart, and it can last forever. Can Claire somehow change Alex’s mind? Perhaps prove to him that love like that still exists? Could they find a HEA for themselves along the way? Or will he walk away again, not believing in love?
I love these stories! The author is very skilled at bringing emotions out of her stories to help the reader feel what the characters are going through. The story line moved along well and included the mention of the “love legend” everyone knew about, which loosely ties the series together and gives us that little touch of magic – always a top component of love! Grab your copy and see if Claire gets another one of those “memorable” kisses from the stubborn scientist!
FOREVER IN A KISS is an enchanting story about believing in one love and holding on to it when you find it. Even that first kiss in seventh grade could have been with your one true love, and Claire relived that kiss she had with Alex ever since.
But life tends to get in the way. Thirteen years later Alex and Claire cross paths again during the planning of a mutual friend’s wedding and things get a little messy with the upcoming nuptials – with Alex and Claire in the middle of the mess.
I loved the weaving of the love story especially when it came to Alex coming to terms with his own feelings and Claire realizing her dreams.

I have enjoyed all of Susan Hatler’s books I’ve read so far and this one was great!
Claire had a crush back in high school on Alex who was a skinny boy who she kissed playing a game. She thought he might pursue her but that never happened. Years later she has a wedding dress business and has to focus on making money vs having a boyfriend. But low and behold Alex is the best man in a wedding where she’s making the dress. He’s hot and her feelings haven’t changed. Will he give love a try or continue to focus on breaking up the wedding that Claire needs to happen to help her business.

Fifteen years!! Claire has secretly been in love with Alex ever since they kissed playing spin the bottle as teenagers. Every man she has ever dated has been measured by Alex and that kiss. Fifteen years later her best friend is getting married and Alex is the cousin to the groom, but Alex doesn’t believe in love and is trying to sabotage the wedding. Claire has to stop him beause she is designing the dress and the bride is a high profile model, and her wedding dress design business could take off with the media coverage. She gets invited to the cake tasting and the potential venue, trying to stop Alex. He is so infuriating but every time he is close to her she loses concentration. What she and Alex don’t know is they have a secret matchmaker. Someone who has always known they like each other and is determined to get them together, by fair means or foul. But will Alex allow love to break through is cynicism and disbelief in true love, or will Claire’s heart be broken? This story was so romantic and sweet. I loved Claire and Alex and was happy when they got their hea.
I loved this romance. The characters and their storyline. The romantic dress maker and the mischievous scientist. Their pasts and their personalities. The humor woven in was awesome.

Claire and Alex. She is a wedding dress designer and a dreamer, believer in “the one true love” and happy endings. He is the best man, trying to sabotage the wedding, a scientist who believes in facts, not feelings. The more time they spend together, thanks to the bride, the more he softens and the stronger their feelings are for each other. I thought this was a really cute book. The characters had this strong give and take relationship. They each surprised me a little bit with how they were willing to be open to another point of view. I enjoyed this and look forward to my next read by Ms. Hatler.

Very entertaining and fun to read. Like the drama! Fun to read characters that have great interactions. Nothing like high school rivalry and old crushes to make for good reading! Would recommend!

This is a great young to grown up second chance romance where there are plenty of laughs, totally awkward moments mixed in with some sad moments and a twist you don’;t see coming that could ruin the chance of a happy ever after for Claire and Alex. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are great and you really connect with them, even those that irritate you like Missy and I will be going back to read more in the series as they are the perfect book to read no matter your mood as they will make you smile and leave you happy.
