The tabloids call her the Hit and Run Bride after reality show star Annamae Jessup walked out on Atlanta’s favorite baseball player on cable television. Eager to escape her notoriety, Annamae takes a road trip to find the grandmother she’s never met and winds up discovering a whole lot more than a band of back woods relatives. There’s no escape from reality TV, even in Beulah, Alabama, population … population 3000.
The last thing Wynn Rafferty needs in his new life is a spoiled television princess who can’t even know his real name. He’s in temporary witness protection as an apple farmer after his undercover work put his life in danger. He needs to lay low until the heat dies down from his last case — even if he sucks at growing apples as badly as he sucks at relationships. But Annamae turns his new town into a media circus, unwittingly threatening the lives of him, her and most of Beulah. Wynn is an expert at keeping the world at arm’s length, but when it comes to Annamae, the only way he can keep her safe is to keep her very, very close.

A great afternoon read! A quick entertaining read.
When I need a quick, light read for a short flight, I usually grab a book from the Little Free Library near my home. THE WEDDING AUDITION by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock (though predictable) fit the bill. It was served up with a side of romance and had a dash of drama thrown in for good measure. And like any good book faerie worth her salt, I left it in the airplane terminal for the next person to read.
Good read for a rainy day!
Slow reading with lots of sweet feelings
Light fun reading
i really liked this book, it was so unpredictable but ended perfectly.
Very good
Enjoyed it, but would’ve been great if characters were developed more and the story had more twists & turns.
Light reading with a cute story.
This book had a plot which was weaved into the story; it was not just a sexcapade.
Good read!!
Funny and endearing. Great read
The title throws you for a loop. A great quick read with a lot of interesting characters, especially when you get into their backgrounds. Everyone except Boone had a deep story to tell. Enjoyed the personalities. Everyone’s background was brought forward to create a successful ending! Nice style writing!
Khloe Kardashian and Jason Statem
Yes, that is honestly the references used in this romance. And the pairing is an insipid story about transformation meets a high stakes suspense, and it doesn’t work. Suspense starts in the beginning and increases the drama in the pacing and twist. Transformations are lots of talking and little moments of character building. So the suspense climax comes out of almost no where, and there is no stakes because we know the hero will be slightly wounded. The talking and banal everyday scenes took over the whole book. Plus the research into what someone actually lives and goes through as a reality tv star is never done and it shows. Just skip it.
I didn’t think this plot would work for me, but it did and was believable. Good read!
Cute story about a reality TV family and the main character being Annamae, who runs away from her reality wedding. She escapes to an old apple farm in Alabama to find herself. Instead, she finds her grandmother, she never knew and love of her life, Wynn, who is an undercover cop, hiding out to go to a trial against a drug lord. Fun, fast moving story.
This was a fun book and quick read. Enjoyable!
Cute little book. I liked the two main characters and how they meet up.
totally enjoyed it. Not a fan of reality family shows, so I was rooting for the runaway bride. Fought the plot line in a few places. I’d totally read more by this author.
Ok book! Quick read
