I love the John Pickett series. Sherri Cobb South, is one of my favorite authors.
Very cute
Well worth reading.
Nice twist. Author dis well in spinning the plot
Would read it again just for enjoyment
I read this on my Nook and have not deleted it because I know I’ll read it again. Charming. An enjoyable love story.
Simply delightful!
Very nice read.
Set in Merry Old England where those in the Ton never married for love, but for money and status. Beautiful daughter of Duke with gambling debts is bought by an upstanding man of trade, which is quite looked down upon by Ton. Haughty bride comes to appreciate the wonderful qualities which her new husband possesses and falls in love with him, finally not caring what snobby Ton thinks.
A wonderful story of unconditional love…will read it again & again!
clean
I liked the plain guy as the hero. Twist at the end is good.
Very entertaining . Keep me laughing all the way through the book
I loved the characters
Wonderful love story!
This is a comical story. I enjoy this author’s writing immensely. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I felt Lady Helen turned from icy to warm too quickly or did not smoothly progress. If, in fact, she was so cold I think it would have taken her a bit longer, initially, to warm up to him. That is my only complaint/critique. Otherwise it’s a great story and I almost totally enjoyed it. There was good tension, conversation, characterization and correct period details. I especially liked the details about Piquet since i looked up how to play the game from a previous book I read. Very enjoyable. Thank you Sheri.
A delight to read. It was fun trying to figure out what would happen next.
It was a bit of a slow start but then I could not put it down. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters.
I loved the two main characters, so opposite each other. I enjoyed reading how they learned to love each other.
It was a fun read if somewhat predictable. The hero vs heroine was an entertaining twist.
