Pulled me on the first couple pages. This tells you it’s a good book. Awesome book
This was the first book I read by Sharon Sala. I liked the plot quite a bit, and the story flowed well. I was able to understand everything even though I had not read the other books in the series. I did find the dialog a bit stiff at times, but my interest in the story kept me going to the conclusion.
This is a very sweet book, definitely worth reading for a nice, light, happily ever after story.
There’s nothing I love better than a second chance, and this one is loaded with them! It’s time for a visit to Blessings, Georgia, for all this second-chance goodness. Blessings wouldn’t be Blessings without a few snooty, petty, affluent citizens, but thankfully the majority are loveable, big-hearted, unforgettable, wonderful souls. And this time, there’s something truly special in store for one of our most beloved Blessings residents.
At forty-five-years old, Sully Raines discovers a secret his now-deceased parents have kept his entire life. Sully was adopted, a revelation that changes the course of his life as he sets out to find his birth mother. This eventually leads Sully to Blessings, where his first discovery is finding the sweetest girl he’s ever known, his first love as a young teen. As they rediscover their soul-deep connection and Sully continues his search, he and Melissa are faced with challenges that threaten to destroy their future together.
As only this gifted wordsmith can do, Sully’s story has the perfect balance of all the elements. Heartfelt, poignant, joyous, suspenseful and fraught with danger, your eyes will be riveted to the page with your heart in your throat, even as you have a huge smile on your face and your eyes get teary. And just when you think it’s over, up pops another loose end to be tied up, wrapping the story in a perfect, beautiful bow.
This book is so full of emotional ups and downs, and you’ll love every single minute of the ride. It will make the worst skeptic a believer in fate, karma and destiny and leave you happy, content and satisfied while you eagerly anticipate your next visit to Blessings. Read this standalone first, then catch up with any of the Blessings books you’ve missed. Your heart will thank you!
I was drawn to this book due to its setting. The small town was totally relatable and believable. The family dynamics are written through exceptional characters. I would highly recommend this author’s books.
I only discovered Sharon Sala on another author’s facebook page, and I am so glad I did. This is her 9th book in the Blessings, Georgia series and it’s as good as the first one. I enjoy the pace and flow of her books because it keeps the story going and it doesn’t leave any slow spots. Its full of all the good things you want in a novel, love, romance, suspense worthy of it just being a suspense novel. Everyone can read this book and be thrilled by it!
I love returning to Blessings, GA for a visit every time I get the chance. It’s a great place, with lots of old friends and acquaintances. This is Sully and Melissa’s story. Sully is new in town, a fireman, retired after a twenty-year run and looking for a new direction. He only recently found that he was adopted, and comes to Blessings following the trail of his birth mother. His first day in town, his heroic act at the scene of an auto accident reunites him with his childhood sweetheart when he saves Melissa. I love second chance stories, and this one fits in more ways than one. The mystery search for his birth mother reveals even more secrets. Sharon Sala has created another chapter in the lives of the folks of Blessings, weaving their lives together in joy and support and love, with just enough angst to keep us totally involved.
I read this book as part of Brenda Novak’s book club, and I’m glad I did. Ms. Sala’s style is different from others I’ve read and was quite enjoyable. The book is a second chance romance purely by happenstance. Some might find the premise of the couples meeting again as adults not believable, but some mighty strange coincidences happen in real life. Blessings, GA sounds like an amazing place, and I plan to visit again.
Repost of my original review at Amazon.com.
Sully Raines is on a search for his birth mother after finding out that he was adopted. He had questions that he wanted answers to and he was determined to find them in Blessings, Georgia. Following his mother’s death, Sully learned that the people he had always known as his parents, were his adoptive parents, not his birth parents. Amongst his mothers things, were a necklace and a note that said his birth mother had left it for him. When it appeared that his search would end, he found unexpected surprises for him in Blessings, Georgia.
This story was a reunion of sweethearts that had been separated, though no fault of their own. There were other wonderful secondary characters in the story, adding to its depth. It was a fairly long read, taking me an entire week to finish it, but the happy ending was worth the wait.
There is some language and some sex scenes that weren’t terribly descriptive. I didn’t feel that these scenes necessarily added to the story and could have been left out, but that is according to my taste.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
I always seem to forget just how much I love this series until I start reading the new one. I love all the characters so much and each new book is like coming home for a visit. I get to see what the newbies are up too and catch up with the oldies.
I know a lot of people don’t care too much for so many story lines all going at once, but I love it! It keeps me interested and makes the time fly by. I literally can’t put it down once I’ve started.
The Way Back to You was jammed packed with all kinds of stuff going on. We have a son trying to find his birth mother, a car accident, reuniting with lost loves, death, kidnapping, and we even have an escaped convict on the loose. This story couldn’t have gotten any better.
My only wish is that the next was in this series was already ready and waiting for me to snatch it up. If you’re a fan of this fantastic series, then you’ll love this one.

This is a tough one for me to review. I *loved* the setting. It was my first time visiting Blessings, Georgia in this world created by Ms. Sala. I immediately felt drawn to the town and the people who lived there. I liked the second-chance love story as well as all the good (and bad) karma coming around. However…it just seemed like there was SO much drama happening. Too much…and for me, it took away from the enjoyment of the story. Simply Sully’s journey to find his birth mother and his reunion with Melissa would have been more than enough to carry the story for me. But there were so many extra things going on that it really took me out of the story and kept me from liking it more.
I would read another book set in Blessings, and I would read more by the author. I just felt like too much was trying to happen in one story.
I checked this book out of the library and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts and opinions.
Exciting from start to finish! With book nine in her beloved Blessings, Georgia series Sharon Sala takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions in THE WAY BACK TO YOU. The plot is rich with drama and the characters are full of heart.
Sully is so easy to fall for right from the start. He’s sweet, he’s kind, he’s a take charge rescuer. I really enjoyed going on the journey of finding his birth mother with him and watching him find his long lost love.
Melissa is a delight and can’t believe her luck of reconnecting with her teenage sweetheart at just the right time to save her from catastrophe. She’s had a lot of ups and downs in her life and it’s great to see her finally getting another happy ending.
I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves a small town filled with good-hearted quirky characters who bring a story to life.
The Sweetest Second Chances – 4.5 Stars!
As always with Sharon Sala’s stories, your heart strings will be tugged throughout this small-town, second chance romantic adventure!
This is book #9 in the Blessings, Georgia series, and this series never disappoints. Give yourself a mini-vacation to Blessings, where everyone looks out for everyone else and even strangers can’t turn their backs on those in need. Even though this is the latest installment in a well-established series, you will have no trouble diving in with this as your first Blessings book, or reading it as a stand-alone. Sharon Sala is a fantastic writer, weaving her magic to bring life to the town and it’s inhabitants in a way that has you convinced you’ve met them yourself!
This story is about a man named Sully, who after the death of his mother, is shocked to find out that he was adopted. He feels tethered, and sets out on a journey to find his birth month. The search eventually leads him to Blessings, where everything starts coming together for him in the perfect way that only a second-chance romance can bring. I recommend the Blessings series if you love small towns, reunited soulmates, and HEAs.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. As a fan of Sharon Sala, I do recommend reading anything she writes!
Excellent book from an excellent author.
I really love this book. Let’s start off with Mr. Peanut Butterman, isn’t that just the greatest name ever? There are lots of laughs and lots of tears and some real scares and so much love! This is the first book that I have read written by Sharon Sala, but it’s not going to be my last. Thanks for a great story Sharon!
I just loved the Way Back to you. I couldn’t believe how great it was. I have read I’ll Stand by You, and it was exceptional. I like how in this book everything seem like it was connecting everyone together. I couldn’t get over how Sully parents kept his adoption to themselves. It was so wrong. Looking for his birth mother did help him find his first love. Please read this. Such a good read but all Sharon Sala books are all great.
The Way Back to You (Blessing, Georgia #9) was a great read by Sharon Sala. This book follows more new and old residents of Blessings, Georgia. Sully Raines found out he was adopted when the only mother he ever knew died. He decides to search for her and his journey ends up in Blessings, Georgia. He never knew that this trip would eventually lead him to everything that he wanted. He finds his childhood sweetheart that he hasn’t seen since her family walked away. I can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala. I loved how she tied all of the characters together and wrote the characters so that you fall for them.
Sharon Sala has been one of my favorite authors since I first read Jackson Rule many years ago. She was then writing under the pseudonym Dinah McCall. I can’t get enough of her books. She writes stories that touch your heart…and there are heart-stopping moments in every one of them. The fast-moving stories grab the reader’s attention at the first chapter and hold onto it until the end. I am always torn between never wanting the book to end and wanting to find out how it ends.
The Blessings Georgia series has captured my heart. The people who live in Blessings, Georgia have become friends. I look forward to the next visit.
Book #9 in the Blessings, Georgia series did not disappoint. The story follows Sully Raines as he searches for his birth mother only to discover the first girl he ever loved living in the small town of Blessings, Georgia.
I recommend The Way Back to You and the entire Blessings, Georgia series to anyone who enjoys good contemporary romance with well-developed, believable characters.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This is a very touching story of struggles that are written so realist it happens so often. It was easy to follow along finding how Sully, Melissa, Lovey, and Marc all took paths that made them who they are today. It is a standalone read but a series to wrap around the small town of Blessings.
Sweetly thrilling, emotional and heartwarming journey filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, hear racing twists and exciting turns….. was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this return to Blessings Georgia visiting old friends and getting to know interesting new ones. Looking forward to more from this series.
I really want to live in Blessings, Georgia and get to know all these wonderful people. I loved this story of fate being alive and going full circle to bring this family back together. Even though they have all had separate paths, they are truly family in every sense of the word. Sharon Sala is the consummate story teller. When she tells a story you FEEL all the emotions the characters are experiencing. She has a true gift and I am blessed to have read ALL of her books.
