USA Today bestselling series.India Steele is desperate. Her father is dead, her fiancé took her inheritance, and no one will employ her, despite years working for her watchmaker father. Indeed, the other London watchmakers seem frightened of her. Alone, poor, and at the end of her tether, India takes employment with the only person who’ll accept her – an enigmatic and mysterious man from America. … man from America. A man who possesses a strange watch that rejuvenates him when he’s ill.
Matthew Glass must find a particular watchmaker, but he won’t tell India why any old one won’t do. Nor will he tell her what he does back home, and how he can afford to stay in a house in one of London’s best streets. So when she reads about an American outlaw known as the Dark Rider arriving in England, she suspects Mr. Glass is the fugitive. When danger comes to their door, she’s certain of it. But if she notifies the authorities, she’ll find herself unemployed and homeless again – and she will have betrayed the man who saved her life.
With a cast of quirky characters, an intriguing mystery, and a dash of romance, THE WATCHMAKER’S DAUGHTER is the start of a thrilling new historical fantasy series from the author of the bestselling Ministry of Curiosities, Freak House, and Emily Chambers Spirit Medium books.

Great read. I liked the two main characters. The woman was very strong.
Wonderful
From start to finish, I enjoyed this book. We’re thrown right in to the story, and the author enables us to us context, with slight exposition, on how we arrived here. From there, it’s wonderful character and plot development. I’m looking forward to additional books within the series.
This can stand alone. There are some mysteries unresolved for our characters, bit this story’s plot is resolved.
I LOVED this book and I simply can’t stop reading. I’m already on the third book if that is any indication. The story is great and the character dynaimcs are fun to watch since they are pretty much all different from one another. Why’re you still reading this? Go forth and read the book!
Love this series and the time period it takes place. The direction the story goes in is so different and keeps you turning the pages. Can’t wait for the next book.
Great series. Pre-ordered the eighth one. Great interplay between the two mason characters.
Read the whole series. Can’t wait for the next one to come out
It was ok
Very entertaining and fun to read. The characters were lively and interesting.
Good story
Great storyline! Loved the characters as well. They were well developed with tragedies of their own which built and defined the characters. I have read three books in the Steel &Glass series. Would over to read more!
I lovef it and cant wait to read the next one
I have read all other available books in this series. Looking forward to the next one. Light read, great characters, fun all around, some mystery and some romance. Happy reading.
Loved it.. can’t wait to read more!
This book is a part of a series that is still in progress at this time. I think the magic element is unique and not easily obtained so magic doesn’t solve all (though it does solve some!). The characters are interesting however I wish the romantic aspect would move forward a bit. The books have been a fun read.
Some characters are more believable than others but as the story progresses the author has managed to flesh them out a bit more so that’s something to look forward to.
A bit of a steampunk fantasy? I don’t know, but the series is worth checking out.
Really good book. Mystical skills from many characters. Good fantasy sci fi
I am hooked on this series!
Another series, but different. Magic and mystery.
Interesting, original story! I had to read all the books in the series, with just a touch of magic.
THIS WAS A GREAT STORY
