USA Today bestselling series.India Steele is desperate. Her father is dead, her fiancé took her inheritance, and no one will employ her, despite years working for her watchmaker father. Indeed, the other London watchmakers seem frightened of her. Alone, poor, and at the end of her tether, India takes employment with the only person who’ll accept her – an enigmatic and mysterious man from America. … man from America. A man who possesses a strange watch that rejuvenates him when he’s ill.
Matthew Glass must find a particular watchmaker, but he won’t tell India why any old one won’t do. Nor will he tell her what he does back home, and how he can afford to stay in a house in one of London’s best streets. So when she reads about an American outlaw known as the Dark Rider arriving in England, she suspects Mr. Glass is the fugitive. When danger comes to their door, she’s certain of it. But if she notifies the authorities, she’ll find herself unemployed and homeless again – and she will have betrayed the man who saved her life.
With a cast of quirky characters, an intriguing mystery, and a dash of romance, THE WATCHMAKER’S DAUGHTER is the start of a thrilling new historical fantasy series from the author of the bestselling Ministry of Curiosities, Freak House, and Emily Chambers Spirit Medium books.

very good
Loved it!
Great read
I wanted this book to keep going!
Good mystery with a little bit of fantasy.
I was disappointed with this book. It took forever for the characters to reveal themselves. It kept spinning in circles with nothing leading to the point. It could have been much shorter and more coherent.
It was a nice light read. It relies on dialog rather than scene discription.
Although interesting, it takes considerable page turning before you find out what it’s all about.
will read next book
Only problem, it ends without resolution, forcing you to purchase further novels to find out what is really happening.
Great beginning to the series. Strong female lead character. Page turning mystery / adventure with interesting storyline. I read this and continued the series immediately. Super fun and enjoyable.
Loved the characters in this novel.
Fun, light reading with a sweet, old fashioned romance. It is the first in a series and I will say that I won’t continue with the series. This book was sufficient unto itself.
can’t wait for book two.
I’m 81 years old so it takes quite a book to get me into a “I couldn’t put it down” mode but with this one I actually lost sleep. A great read!
Awesome reading
Loved this book!! It was interesting, fun and did not end exactly how I figured it had to!
This was an interesting story line. Enjoyed the characters and their interactions.
