USA Today bestselling series.India Steele is desperate. Her father is dead, her fiancé took her inheritance, and no one will employ her, despite years working for her watchmaker father. Indeed, the other London watchmakers seem frightened of her. Alone, poor, and at the end of her tether, India takes employment with the only person who’ll accept her – an enigmatic and mysterious man from America. … man from America. A man who possesses a strange watch that rejuvenates him when he’s ill.
Matthew Glass must find a particular watchmaker, but he won’t tell India why any old one won’t do. Nor will he tell her what he does back home, and how he can afford to stay in a house in one of London’s best streets. So when she reads about an American outlaw known as the Dark Rider arriving in England, she suspects Mr. Glass is the fugitive. When danger comes to their door, she’s certain of it. But if she notifies the authorities, she’ll find herself unemployed and homeless again – and she will have betrayed the man who saved her life.
With a cast of quirky characters, an intriguing mystery, and a dash of romance, THE WATCHMAKER’S DAUGHTER is the start of a thrilling new historical fantasy series from the author of the bestselling Ministry of Curiosities, Freak House, and Emily Chambers Spirit Medium books.

Great read can’t wait for new book
This book wasn’t a page turner nor a masterpiece. But, it was well written and very interesting. I think many readers will enjoy it. The character development was done well. The plot was intruiging with enjoyable sub plots. Way more entertaining than TV
I particularly liked this book. kept my attention.
Thoroughly enjoyable and inventive. The plot is inventive and fresh and the characters are marvelous.
Great read.
This is a great series. The concept is different. The many characters are well though out and likeable. It was set in a different time, so some of the thinking is very old fashioned. I enjoy reading the series, and look forward to the next in the series to be released.
I enjoyed this book and would read more from this author. The characters are interesting and engaging
So many twists and turns…very enjoyable read if you like this genre
The best time travel tale to go in front of my eyes in 67 years
Light – hearted fancy.
Cliffhanger:(
Bought all books in the series as I like it so much.
The book started out a bit slow, and seemed like it would be another somewhat dreary story about yet another impoverished young woman trying to make her way in the olden days of London… but get past that part; it doesn’t last long. The characters and story are worth it! The plot sagged a bit here and there without a doubt, but had enough unique qualities to stay with it. It ended somewhat abruptly (though not what I would term a cliffhanger), but I’ll probably continue reading more of the series. Good female characters.
Could not put the book down. Just a greatvread
Interesting, but not interesting enough to get involved in what is obviously going to be at least a trilogy.
I liked it so much that I bought the other five books in the series.
Will India find her confidence and magic. The story is full of twist you can’t put together. Can’t wait to read book 2.
GREAT SERIES
Original magical concept. Overall i enjoy this series so far. Its a very slow burn romance. Sweet and funny.
Somewhat comical, somewhat lively. With some wit involved
