“Gripping. This book is a first-rate thriller.” (NY Times Best-selling author Brenda Novak) “A Terrifyingly Terrific Debut!” (Award-winning Author Loucinda McGary)This psychological suspense follows forensic psychiatrist Kate Myers who believes the killer of two teenage girls in Bigler County, California, is the same man who savagely murdered her twin sister over fifteen years ago. Working with a … years ago. Working with a single-minded tenacity, she sets out to prove it.
Deputy Sheriff Ben Slater hides his personal pain behind the job, but Kate’s arrival in his county knocks his world on its axis and makes him believe in romance again. He wants to believe her wild theory, but the idea of a serial killer with the kind of pathology she proposes is too bizarre.
Together they work to find a killer whose roots began in a small town in Bigler County, but whose violence spread across the nation. A Janus-like killer, more monster than man, he fixates on Kate and wants nothing more than to kill the “purple-eyed girl again.”
As this crime thriller builds to a conclusion, Kate finds herself in grave danger, while Slater uses his forensics skills to discover who the madman is and where he’s taken her.

Easy read
The Watcher was very well written and the characters were great. The additional romantic story line added a great deal of character and interest to the story. I will read more by this author.
Good storyline, great character development and I love that it’s the first in a series.
I actually listened to this on Audiobooks, but to me it counts as read. I found myself finding reasons to sit down and listen to this. I was sucked in from the beginning. I loved Kate but couldn’t quite figure out how she fit into the story. As Jo feeds bits and pieces of information, it appears to become crystal clear, and then, all my …
I enjoyed it more than I expected
An original twist between the Hatfield and McCoy’s and horror genre.
Keeps building.
Suspenseful fast read. Can’t say I never saw it coming, but didn’t suspect it until late in the game. Then it ended almost as a wrap up of convenience in order to tie up all the loose ends with a narrative
I really liked this book. It was a very good read and scared me!
Did not like could not get into this book.
I enjoyed this book. Easy to follow the characters.
Couldn’t put this one down.
The story started out good but I quickly lost interest. The characters are flat and hard to follow. Didn’t finish the book.
A young bride discovers that the man she married is not who she thought he was.
Good fast paced action. Really liked the main character.
A little unpredictable, good characters and an all around good book.
Really good read
THE WATCHER keeps you guessing. I enjoy the woman protagonist, although she is a bit paranoid. Good, light read.
Characters are well developed and are easily relatable.
Great read, good story.
I really enjoyed this twisted story. It was page turning at a frenzied pace.
