I liked the characters and the way they stayed true to it. The story moved very slowly and too detailed in some areas. The Polish history was interesting, I learned several things that were new to me.
It was a good read but ended suddenly and didn’t really end. Have to buy the series.
A little too much war for me, but was about a period in history I knew little about.
Excellent historical book about Poland. The fight for freedom .and what this family endured.
I liked the insight into Polish history.
I am sure many people will appreciate this book. I looked forward to reading it as I have been to Poland and was fascinated by the history. Unfortunately, I found this book rather tedious. I usually like historical novels but had trouble keeping the characters and the Polish names and places straight. It just didn’t meet my expectations.
Not quit finished with this book, I keep falling asleep while reading. It’s difficult to follow . But I do want to finish it as I am curious as to how it ends.
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK,jr.
