The third in this series takes on a journey with Joshua and his best friend Leah.
Joshua initially starts out in a relationship with Christine, but when they find themselves under attack, he realizes that his best friend Leah is also his fated mate. There are some serious twists and turns in this story, some you don’t see coming until the very end.
If you have enjoyed the previous two books in this series you will love this instalment. It is slightly faster paced.
A great read! I can’t wait for more.
This book continues with the characters from the first book “The Dragon and the Singer”. This story is mainly about Joshua, captain of the guard and the next prince in line for ruling after Nathan. Joshua is happy with his life but now is challenged in many life choices. One, who will be his mate, is it Christine who is a new guard he’s attracted too or Leah, deputy captain of the dragon guard, who’s fighting a sickness that weakens her body? Joshua hides his attraction to Leah because they’re comrades and old friends where Christine always dreamed of being with Joshua and now he’s fulfilling her dream. Two, when Cory the youngest prince is kidnapped by the wolves and then they find out that dragons are working with the wolves, can Joshua and his guards rescue Cory and who is the dragon leader working with the wolves? All characters in the series return in this book along with steamy romance, betrayal and battles which made this a enjoyable book to read and review. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The title is a bit confusing since this is Joshua’s story. Once again Renee has done an amazing job of creating very strong, interesting and likable characters. I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend this book!
