Lord Glenister is extremely grateful for Charlotte’s kindness, but he must keep his identity unknown. However, his heart keeps leading him back to her. Kissing Charlotte in the gardens under the cover of darkness obscured his face, but revealed his feelings. As much as he might care for her, he cannot allow her into his life. There is too much danger surrounding him.
Unfortunately, Charlotte is utterly determined. As she pursues him and as things become even more tangled, can Lord Glenister allow her to know the truth?

story of finding someone to love. Viscount Arthur Wickton wanted his sister to marry before he did. Miss Charolotte James had a mind of her own. She and her friend, Miss Emily Smythe was walking and run across two men beating up another man. She stepped in and stopped the fight. She took the stranger to her house to get him help. This story has lots of excitement but is also a clean well written and I highly recommend reading this book.

Mixed Feelings
Mixed feelings on this one. The book started out slow, but I love a good mystery… what I didn’t love is how Charlotte was hurt… there are some historical inaccuracies as well, but those won’t bother most readers. There is a lot of intrigue, a dangerous powerful villain, and a lovely heroine who gets her hea in the end.
Charlotte and her brother Arthur, are a lot of fun and I am looking forward to reading his story (I’m sure there is one, or will be).

The Viscount’s Mystery by Joyce Alec. The story caught my attention, and the characters were likeable. I enjoyed reading about Charlotte, her brother Michael, and the mystery man that her and her girlfriend found in the park being beaten.

Charlotte is not interested in finding a suitor but her brother is pushing her to do so. Sounds like the standard set-up until she saves a man from a beating in the park and takes him home to heal. He is not the “macho” alpha, but rather a more realistic character who considers the danger he is in. The resolution to the problem is good and of course there is a happy ever after. The story caught my attention immediately and didn’t let go. This is a great read.

An amazingly well written story with great storyline and plot. Lots of mystery, secrets, hidden identity, drama, angst, attraction, emotions, twists and turns. I was captivated from start to finish from this story. The characters are so well described and they develop nicely. I love that we get an update on other characters from previous books.
I was annoyed with Charlotte several times and her stubbornness with being spinster. But luckily fate had other plans.
Cannot wait for Arthurs story! Hopefully with her friend.
This book was entertaining, and well written. Apparently I don’t understand this time period, because I just kept wondering why they didn’t go to the police with the evidence. If he committed the crimes mentioned in the journal, he should have been arrested. That kept me distracted. Otherwise, it was a good, clean book with a hea.

…to do what is right, whatever the consequences.”
I have chosen to start this review with a quote of the last line of Chapter 1, which is a fair summation of this family-friendly dilemma that takes a day to read.

Charlotte stops two men from beating a gentleman in St. James Park. She takes him home to help him recover and he won’t tell her who he is. I was surprised that those men, who were acting on another’s behalf, didn’t figure out she was sooner. Lord Glenister stole from a powerful man who wants his property back. He has to find a way to use it against him and reveal how evil this man is before he pays with his life or causes harm to an innocent person who gets in the way like Charlotte. There was plenty of intrigue and suspense in this Regency romance. I like Charlotte’s friend Emily, who is attracted to Charlotte’s brother Viscount Wickton and wonder if they will have a romance in a future book.
A book in the series called Wedding and Scandals it is well written and held my interest throughout. The story flows smoothly from page to page and I found I was not putting it down until the mystery is solved. Charlotte is a strong willed, independent, courageous, and when she sets her mind on something is very determined to find out about things. She finds Lord Glenister injured in the park and takes him to her brother’s home, he will not tell her even his name thus begins Charlotte’s quest to find out what he is hiding. This is a page turner that will keep you wanting to know what is going to happen. Charolett was very courageous when she and her friend Emily happened upon 2 men beating and kicking another man. She stood up to them and made them quit. She had her friend go for help and a carriage so that she could take him home with her and tend to his injuries. She did not know what she was getting into. She did not know why they were beating him, she didn’t even know his name.
If you would like to find out all the trouble she and the injuried man got into, then I suggest you get the book and read. You will not be sorry in fact I think you will like it as much as I did. I highly recommend it.

This was a well-written and entertaining story with great characters and a terrific plot. The females were strong, independent, clever, and courageous, and the male characters included everything from stone-aged jerks to charming, enlightened hotties.
