I enjoyed this book.
A fun read. Easy reading and enjoyable.
This was an entertaining story. If you like fast paced stories it is not for you. But it is a nice story.
The story and characters were excellent! Please have a fresh set of eyes read for grammatical errors and stray words that confuse the flow of the story. If not for the grammar issues and stray words, I would have happily given this book a 5 star rating.
This was a fun read.
It’s nice to read a story with an ending other than they consummated married the end…This story goes into the family life and emotions abound. The characters are lovable the atmosphere well depicted. Step into this era reading this story and feel the love desire and need of each other.
Well written story with well developed characters. Good strong female without the whining. You get a good sense of frustration as it is expressed so well. Look forward to more books by this author.
They’re well suited in every steamy way.
I have mixed feelings about The Viscount and the Vixen.
Overall I liked Ava Devlin’s writing, as well as her story-line and her characters. That said, like other readers, I too could see the societal errors in the characters speech, their behavior and various circumstances. Still, this was an entertaining read that did keep my attention. I was however disappointed in the ending, which was sweet but not entirely satisfying.
Content 411: In addition to several descriptive sexual intimacies, there is both secular and religious swearing, including (6) “f” bombs.
Just Ok. Rose an Gideon make a compatible couple. Not sure about the angst that Gideon has about scandal in the family. Unanswered issues as I felt the book ended too quickly.
She has been engaged twice with both of them dying and now she thinks she will never marry. She will go one last time but only to help her cousin. It seems they may be forced into a marriage without making their debut. Can she save them from an unwanted marriage? Will she finally find a man for her? See how she gets on

A delightful Regency story that has a little of everything. Angst, broken engagements, a frustrated debutante, humor, suspense and a sigh worthy hero and heroine that were meant for each other. If only they can get to their happy ever after! Such a great start to this new series that had me anxious to read the next book as soon as I turned the last page!! I read this through Booksprout
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Rose been engaged twice not having any luck, wants to help her spoilt cousin with family to have a Debut Ball. Rose went to see Gideon that his wedding to her cousin needs to be delayed one week, Gideon wants Rose not the cousin. There is a lot of emotions throughout the book with happy ever after.

This is my first book by this author and I cant wait to see more from her. This is a historical ro.ance story is pulled me in from the beginning. This is one of my favorite genes. The characters have a great chemistry and are a supportive of each other. I couldn’t put this book down until the end. I highly recommend checking this romance story up.
Thoroughly romantic
The Viscount and the Vixen is a spicy, sweet, slow-burn historical romance with a bit of a twist. True, we’re all familiar with the rake who becomes ensnared by the strictly proper, starched-petticoat spinster. The twist is that author Ava Devlin makes her spinster heroine into the daring and forward gossip-magnet, while our hero is a TOTAL stuffed shirt! He’s so hung up on restoring the family honor that his rigidly correct and humorless behavior has left him friendless, loveless, and hypersensitive to criticism. So, when his hellion of a little sister brings potential social censure to the family door, he has a bit of a meltdown. In a blind panic, he decides he needs a wife to help manage the crisis, and… That’s the opening our spinster needs. From London to Scotland to Yorkshire, she chases him like a trap chases a mouse, and no victim was ever better served than his stuck-up Lordship. HEA, grins, and the potential for more stories are added bonuses. This is a voluntary ARC review.

Good story the only this I wished was timeline stated in the beginning of a chapter when and how many days, weeks or months went by, also I’ve read the past where Gideon and Rose had a disagreement but why did that push them apart for days or weeks? I was confused at that point on what was underly unsaid to cause the strain.
They known each other for years, he fell for her in their first time meeting but he trusted a friend and did him wrong by take Rose away from him. Rose is now a spinster since bot of her betrothals expired before the wedding date so now she’s named Deadly Deb (debutante) and now lives with her beloved uncle (her mother’s brother) his wife and their daughter, who’s about to have her first season but is now sold off (Gideon’s father sold/agreement to Rose’s uncle) to her groom, Gideon.
Gideon is on a race against time to nail down a bride, save his family’s name. His father has papers drawn up for the Blakely’s only daughter Gloriana to be his bride before his father’s passing. When he goes to meet his bride to be, a blast from his past is there and Gideon is shocked and hurt because of Rose is there, and he still wished for her in some way, here or gone. At Gloriana debut party Rose follows her heart to make her life forever changed.
What a fun and enjoyable book. It is full of humor, suspense, romance and so much more. Two people who like each other get together to help out a cousin of this woman who this same guy is supposed to marry. But the cousin doesn’t want to marry. She wants her first season and what goes with it. It is a merry go round of drama, fun and lots of emotions. Very well written and recommended. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
A new author and a great read. You cannot ask for much more. This is not a complicated story but it has heart and a stuffy viscount and a lovely woman who have loved each other for a long time. I liked their playfulness and flirtatiousness. Scandals are always a favorite to read and I want to know about his sister – another book! A fun read.
