He’s my best friend’s older brother; the man I always wanted but couldn’t have. He wasn’t my type – tall, dark… dangerous. My stomach flip-flopped whenever he was around, and I got so tongue-tied I could never get words out of my mouth. But it didn’t matter. He never talked to me. Barely knew I existed. So why did I just spend the last decade dreaming about him? I’m shy, quiet… still a virgin. … virgin. A man like Dante Calegari would never be interested in a girl like me. But I made up my mind. I wanted him, so, I made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
She thinks I don’t know how she feels, thinks she’s hidden it all from me. She couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve known Noemi since she was twelve years old. I watched her grow up. She was sweet back then; a little shy, too quiet. Never talked to me. Just smiled, nodded, and walked away. Then the sweet girl I knew went away to college, traveled the world and came home to torment me. But it could never happen between us. I’m a ruthless killer and she’s the girl next door.
Then she made me an offer that changed things. She handed me what I needed: a pass to my own personal paradise, or a one-way ticket to Hell, depending on how you looked at it. She gave me permission to ruin her. She asked me to agree to the Virgin Clause and I wasn’t strong enough to say ‘no.’
Now, she’s all mine.
If I can keep her alive.
*** This book ends with a cliff hanger to be resolved in book two, The Virgin Temptation, releasing in Spring 2020.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some “oh no” “oh wow” ” what the what” moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. It starts out a little on the slow side but trust when I say muscle through the slowness it is so worth it. Neomi is sweet, kind, caring and treats everyone fair and right. She is just home from spending years over in Europe. She had well still have her crush on Dante, the mysterious older brother of her best friend and she has always been drawn to him and couldn’t figure out why or how to stop it all together seeing that nothing would/could happen between the two of them. Dante is one of the top paid assassins in the world. He is not only sexy, but also observant and quiet, smart which made him really good at his job and let’s not start with the self-control over everything in his life until she returned and that self-control yeah kind of cracked just a little. So, will he accept her offer or will he do everything in his power to maintain control and protect her or will mayhem and murder take center stage and is there a HEA?
Dante is cold, calculating, distant, dangerous, and he is an assassin. Do not let that fool you he is also strong and protective. Noemi has been in love with him for long time. She goes of after college and returns five year later hoping to get him out of system. She makes him an offer that he cannot refuse, and does not refuse. Someone is after him and that puts her in danger. This is a great story and the characters were so great. Noemi with how shy she is I can absolutely understand where she is coming from. The interaction the flowing the action, the danger, the twists and turns, absolutely a great story.

The sultry, sensuous tension in this book will keep you mesmerized until the end. If you’ve heard the phrase “still waters run deep”, that describes Dante who hides everything from everyone. His sister’s best friend has been smitten with him since before he sent her away 5 years ago.
He is as cold as they come until he kisses her. She wants him to be the one to take her virginity. He makes an elaborate plan to do so and spoil her for all other men in the process.
But he lives a dark and dangerous life. His first night with Noemi starts a chain of events that she witnesses – and he never leaves witnesses. Does this include Noemi? We don’t know because we need the next book to find out what happens!
If you love passionate tales, the scenes in this story are written so well you will read them slowly to savor them like a fine wine. Dante is going to take a prominent place in your collection of bad boy book boyfriends – he’s that good.

STORY:
So I am torn with this book. I liked the story, and it kept me interested to want to read more. However, because it has a cliffhanger, this was a slow burn and very detailed story. With saying this, it seems dragged out. It’s like a double-edge sword, because I also see what the author was doing with establishing all the key players and settings building that relationship between Dante and Noemi. Dante is dark, intense and a contract killer, so it goes well with his character. Noemi has resurfaced after 5 years of being away from her best friend Lily. She is sweet and very submissive in her mannerism towards Dante. The author builds the story by reestablishing Noemi’s and Dante’s relationship to bring us to the point of their verbal contract regarding her virginity. Around 70 to 80% we started seeing Dante in his element of a contract killer and I believe this brings us into the second book. If I were to describe this book with movies, this would be a mix with Dexter and True Lies with dominance of sexual tension.
CHEMISTRY:
Dante’s personality was very dominant and Noemi’s is submissive. The author mercilessly teases us, which in some ways are good because it builds that anticipation and eagerness on what we know to take place. Dante’s dark side and demanding presence definitely amplified my experience between him and Noemi.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
Because I see this as a slow burn, and slow tease, the author brought us into the Calegaris family. So we got a little in-depth with Gabriel and Lily. These are Dante’s brother and sister. They appeal to me, and I am curious to see if they will have their own story. Gabriel isn’t a contract killer like his brother, but don’t believe his hands are clean either.
Overall, I like the story, but the build up drag a bit. It didn’t drag to where I am not interested because I am still very much invested in seeing how Dante’s and Noemi’s romance concludes.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

OMG this book is amazing!
This is the first part and I can’t wait to read the second.
In this book we meet the Calegari family. Dante, who this book focuses on, his brother Gabriel, his sister Lilly, mother Mary Theresa and Noemi, who has been in love with and saving herself for Dante for a decade.
Dante may claim to be a sociopath, but he is a controlling alpha male as well, that just wants to protect his female, among other things… Especially other things…
This is an action-packed, page-turner, suspense-filled start, and I’m on pins and needles to see what happens to Noemi, to Dante, and to see what happens after the nine-day deadline is over.
And who the hell signed the contract??
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion
“The Virgin Clause” is one of those books that starts off a little slow and by the end you’re saying to yourself “Oh my God”, and “Ooooh” as the action and the intensity continue to rise and pull both you and the heroine in deeper. Neomi is a sweet young woman, just moved home from spending 5 years in England. She is kind-hearted and beautiful, and returns to a situation she had walked away from when she moved away … her hopeless crush on a man next door. Dante, the anti-hero, was the mysterious older brother of her best friend in that house next door, and Neomi found herself inexplicably drawn to him since she first noticed Boys. She returns to find that the attraction is stronger than ever.
Neomi is not aware that Dante is among the best, most highly paid professional assassins in the world. He is a very quiet and observant man who has always been able to control everything in his life except his feelings for the girl next door. His cold, calm mask of self-control is cracked when she moves back home. Neomi speculates that if she spends one night between the sheets with Dante, she’d may be able to get him out of her system or change his perspective about her and interest him in a relationship. She makes him an offer he can’t resist taking her up on. He intends afterward to then walk away because she is too good to be caught up in his dark world.
In spite of his careful planning, everything descends into chaos. Mystery, more assassins, explosions, murder, mayhem … plus more heat and passion than either of them expected to find despite their attraction. This is definitely a page turner. Be aware that it does end in a cliffhanger, which is something I normally dislike. In this case however, I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Dante Calegari is a killer; by his own reckoning a sociopath beyond redemption. But what he is, above all else, is a man of his word.
Noemi was the girl-next-door and his sister’s best friend. Five years ago, Dante put her on a plane to London, but now she’s back, and she wants Dante to take her virginity. Will Dante be ‘the man he is’, or ‘the man he should be’? And will Noemi get him out her system, or is her infatuation really love?
A fast-paced, very sensuous and unusual love story featuring assassins, secret locations and untold luxury where danger is never far away.
A brilliant change of pace for author Debra Falasco, here writing as Caprice Langden; steaming hot and sexy, with thrilling glimpses of the life of a hired killer. I cannot wait for Book Two – The Virgin Temptation.
