Finally Reaching For Happiness –
Melody was bullied by her family all through her life into adulthood because of her body size. However, it took one decision to stand up for herself, to give her the confidence she had been lacking. Keagan and Eli hadn’t fully recovered from their broken heart, but fate dropped Melody into their life, which helped them to heal. The change in their lives, combined with the mind blowing chemistry, made me truly enjoy reading this book.

Melody has a family reunion for her awful family to attend. She shows up to get driven past her boiling point and she leaves to go home. However, the odds are stacked against her to get home and she is stuck in her car. She is rescued by Eli and Keagan. These two men are brothers and best friends and are good with sharing everything. Is Melody in for the weekend or more? This insta-love story was an entertaining read where bad luck turns to good luck for the all characters. Enjoy!

Melody family reunion sucks all her family are nasty and she has had enough shes going to turn her life around and not take this abuse anymore.
On her way home she gets trapped in a snow storm and is rescued by a hunky looking man Eli who shes instantly attracted to not only that but to his brother too.
This book is nicely written i loved Eli and Keagan and how they build up melody. The things that were missing for me is when they were back to reality and they said they would meet up and boom 6 months later…. there was a gap no date in between or any of how they fit in to each others lifes. Even the epilogue needed more.
3 Out Of 5 Hearts Cariad Books
This book should be labeled a self-help or self-healing book. You can’t read it and NOT start to look at yourself in a different, or better, light. So how the heroine winds up with both of the heros in this story is not hard to tell at all.
Truthfully, I thought about giving the story a 4 1/2 Stars instead of 5, but I only had 1 reason to do so but it was the story is TOO SHORT in my opinion. It should have been way longer. But I figured I don’t want to be that mean. Other than ending too soon and giving me too much sleep, Ms. Stern definitely deserves all 5 Stars.

This book was absolutely wonderful! It was a quick read but I definitely didn’t disappoint. It flowed nicely and made it easy to read and get captured in the story. It had a wonderful setting. Colorado is always a beautiful place to write a story to take place in.
Melody has been bullied all her life. Her family never quite liked her. She was always too fat, or too ugly. She’d never find a husband. They talked about her behind her back and to her face. She then meets Keagan and Eli. Two men who make her feel beautiful and loved. Who make her feel stronger than she’s ever felt before. Eli and Keagan have a past that keeps them from moving forward. The are strong, smart, and extremely genuine and caring guys. Together they help each other more than they thought they could. Can they make their relationship work? Will Melody keep to her word and stay away from her family? Read to find out! You won’t be disappointed.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’ll definitely make sure it isn’t my last. Absolutely fell in love with the story. They need a sequel though!!
Renaissance
Good story about the renaissance of the heroine who decides to finally make categorical choices in her life, but definitely saving. The story is well written, but the romance, with a few hot scenes, is simple and might have deserved to be developed further at the end.
Melody abruptly leaves a family reunion during which she was again humiliated and insulted by her family, while she made a success of her life in spite of them. She decides that she has been at the end of what she could authorize them and she cuts the bridges, while choosing herself, to no longer suffer and to be proud of her. She leaves on a whim and ends up stuck in a snowstorm. She is rescued by Eli whom she takes for a lumberjack and he takes her to his house where she also meets Eli’s brother, Keanan. Although she has always been gentle and wise, she decides that this new Melody can give in to another temptation: since the two brothers want her, why not accept their proposal.

This was an enjoyable story to read. I loved when the heroine stands up to her verbally abusive family because she knows that she deserves to be treated better. Nobody deserves to be verbally abused with toxic people. I really loved it when the heroine learns that she is a goddess. Great characters that are realistic and great story line. I would keep an eye out for more of Sophie Stern’s stories!
Melody is a curvy girl in a family of stick thin people who feel it is their right to verbally abuse her. At the family reunion she has had enough and confronts her bony cousins and sister and leaves. Of course she didn’t know what the weather was going to be like on the mountain that she has to go over to get home, so she is caught in the middle of a blizzard. She is somewhat prepared, but there is no cell reception and she knows that if she leaves her car, she will dye. So she stays in her car bundled up. At least until someone taps on her window to get her attention.
Eli is on his way home to his cabin in the mountains when he sees a car pulled over on the side of the barely used mountain road. When he sees a person bundled up in the back seat, he taps on the glass to get their attention. He knows they can’t stay in their car overnight, they will die. So when a woman, a beautiful, young, curvy woman pops up, he knows that he has to take her home with him. He would have taken anyone home, but he is totally smitten. She goes home with him knowing that the blizzard will last at least one more day before she can get her car looked at and get on her way home. When they get to the cabin and get inside and warmed up, they find they can’t keep off each other. When Eli’s brother, Keagan, walks in, nobody is embarrassed. They both want her and she wants them both.
Eli and Keagan both start getting deeper feelings for her and she for them. She is just worried that she is just a play thing for them and they will forget about her as soon as she leaves.

A really good and exciting romance with a gripping well-developed plot that is fluid and flows smoothly. It is a fast pace, page-turner that easily read in one sitting, drama-filled, funny, emotionally deep, and witty. Amazing and loveable characters; the chemistry between them is instant, intense, and off the charts! Definitely recommended.

Melody is at a family reunion when she has an epiphany – she is sick of being abused emotionally and mentally by her relatives. And that moment of discovery is jaw-dropping! High five to this woman! She meets brothers Eli and Keagan at this point in her life and something out of the ordinary seems like a great idea for her new self. Eli & Keagan have shared women before. They know that Melody is special and they appreciate her for all the things she finds unattractive about herself. They help her embrace her inner goddess!
I like the way the author illustrates the characters’ thought process – through hints and not telling the reader outright. There was also more emotions expressed than I expected. Not just another insta-lust menage story. A great read for this genre with memorable moments and dialogue. Good weekend read!

This is my first book by SS and I can say it won’t be my last. The main characters are likable and the story was surprisingly sweet. Enjoy.

Well worth reading!
A short romance, it is Melody, and brothers Eli, and Keagen there is strife from her Mother also. I just wish there had been a reply to the men’s question, from her for me it just ended fast. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Melody is together with her family for their reunion. Instead of being happy to see her, she is cruelly attacked with insults and poor treatment. She finally realizes she doesn’t have to put up with this anymore. She doesn’t deserve their mean spirit. So she leaves and gets caught in a bad snow storm as she is driving. Eli, a big guy who looks like a lumberjack, rescues her and takes her back to his cabin for her safety. But it doesn’t take longer until they are embracing. As things start to heat up between them, Eli’s brother, Keagan, arrives home and opens the door without knocking. It’s a bit embarrassing for Melody, but when both want to share her, she agrees. Even as the guys start to realize they have deep feelings for her already, Melody worries that they will forget all about her once the storm ends and she leaves. Is that what will happen? Will this all be a short dream of happiness and then forgotten? Or have they found something worth keeping after all?
This was a good story, although very difficult for me to understand why her family treated her like that. I guess it makes me grateful for the loving people in my own life. I am glad she stood up to her toxic family and had the strength it took to walk out. I am glad too that she found two people who could value her for the wonderful person they saw. Grab your copy of the book and see if it all ends with the storm or whether they will pursue something much more permanent.
Melody is having a terrible day at her family’s reunion, when she’s finally had enough, her day goes from bad to worse, or did it? Eli and Keegan are brothers who share everything, and they just rescued Melody from being caught in a snowstorm. This one snowstorm could change their lives forever, now only if Melody is brave enough to start living her life for herself.

Enjoyable and fun
The Virgin and the Lumberjacks is the first book I have read by Sophie Stern so I was not sure what to expect, as you just never know if you will discover an author that you click with or not. I did like the author’s writing style and found the story-line enjoyable and the characters likeable. Even though this is a shorter story, which I tend to like when trying a new author, it still had some depth and drama to it. Plus add in some sweet romance and nice and sexy MFM scenes and I would recommend it to other that like this genre.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.
