Appearing in The Lily and Dahlia Trilogies of Vivian Winslow’s incredibly steamy Gilded Flower Series, Violet Rai, or Vi, is Lily and Dahlia Baron’s sharp-witted BFF, who is always up for a party and a hot guy. But, in The Dahlia Trilogy, there are hints that Vi’s world is quickly coming apart.
Wild Violet (Book 1): In this flashback story, Vi, the strikingly beautiful daughter of an Indian … of an Indian business magnate and English supermodel, is enjoying a privileged lifestyle in New York City while a college student at NYU. Yet, in her senior year, Vi learns that her strict and traditional father intends to force upon her an arranged marriage and a career working for his conglomerate in Dubai. When Vi is paired with sexy Spaniard, Andrés Costas, in her ballet class, not only does she find herself falling for him, but he introduces her to a shockingly different world—one that offers her the prospect of escaping her father’s plans, but at a price.
Hidden Violet (Book 2): With her hidden past about to be exposed, Vi turns to her longtime friend and confidant, Thomas Squires, for help. Yet, they may just risk exposing their feelings for each other in the process. When Lily’s engagement to Alejandro is threatened by ex-lover Gustavo, Vi is forced to come clean with her best friend and possibly destroy the lives of those she loves. Now that her secrets are no longer hidden, Vi faces the most difficult challenge yet—how to build a new life for herself outside of the shadows.
True Violet (Book 3): Things are heating up for Vi in Dubai, and it’s not just the desert climate. Vi is starting to come into her own—having the hottest sex of her life and poised to take over her father’s multinational conglomerate. Yet, her suspicions are confirmed when she uncovers a plot to destroy not just her but her best friends’ lives. With an unlikely ally, Vi seeks to ruin those behind the plot. Will Vi be able to have it all and find her lasting happiness in the arms of the man she loves?
* Each trilogy of The Gilded Flower Series may be read independently, though the background from the earlier trilogies may be helpful to the reader. The Lily Trilogy is the first in the series, followed by The Dahlia Trilogy and then The Violet Trilogy.

A Reader Lives a Thousand Lives – “What I like about this series is how real it feels. Relationships don’t always go to plan, and the women don’t always limit themselves to being in a relationship, which feels much more realistic than most romances.”
Tome Tender Book Blog – “Get ready to blame those rosy cheeks and beads of sweat on a fever, or sunburn, because, face it, you’ll be the only one to know it was Vivian Winslow’s Hidden Violet that did it!”
Smut and Bonbons – “With this author’s stories I’ve been surprised and sometimes shocked with twists and turns. There is enough plausibility to make the story romantic and erotic but enough fantastical to give it edge and make it a bit uncomfortable at times. The moral ambiguity and edge can be a tricky thing but it’s what also makes it unforgettable.”
Two Brain Book Review – “I have talked about Vivian’s book quite regularly on our blog. And for good reason. I truly have loved each book. Vivian’s stories are not the same story we all have read before. Never one dimensional. Each book has evolving plots that surprises me each time. I always gravitate to each new series.”

I’ve read the other two series by Vivian Winslow and this one she does the same as the others and pulls me in. She is such a talented writer and her books are always new, different, and a little bit of everything your looking for in a book! She pulls at your heart strings and then heats things up! With the violet trilogy there was no exception. Vi is a power house for men and has a hidden past! You want to root for her! You want things to get better and find her love! It was steamy and great with great dialogue and great writing! I love how the stories fit well together! Great book!
The Violet Trilogy (Gilded Flower #7-9) by Vivian Winslow was a wild ride that had just enough from each trilogy to make you see that a bigger picture was already in the works.
First off, if you haven’t read the other 6 books, or two trilogies then I highly suggest you do. Especially this last one, as it interconnects with the other six books in ways won’t even imagine. It was pretty amazing to see, and frankly I think that was the best out of all the trilogies. That being said, spoilers will be expected, if you haven’t read the others books.
Vi is really something as a character and it really show in this set. Yes she is present in the other books, but just as the support. These books kind of backtrack and show you that no she was way more the simple support. She was like he freaking glue that held her friends together. You don’t realise how much of a part she really plays until you read this set. Outside of that, you see her own struggles first hand, her battling what her father wants, and what she wants. You also see the difference in culture as well.
I have to say, Vivian Winslow showed her talen in this set, and it was a good way to end this emotional rollercoaster of ride, that this 9 book series had to offer.
I highly recommend you get your hands on not only this mind blowing set, but the other two as well. Each of the books are fairly shot reads, I mean this trilogy is only 555 pages, so that alone tells you how long the actual books are. So now worried about feeling overwhelmed. So please take my stamp of approval that you will fall into this world of love, lust, mind games and of course drama.
Happy Reading

Anyone that knows me, knows that I’ve enjoyed reading books by Vivian Winslow, and the Violet Trilogy hasn’t disappointed me thus far.
It was an intriguing trilogy, full of a roller coaster that brought me tears of joy, sadness, anger and above all, happiness. I can’t even begin to explain Violet or all that she has been through, but I’m so happy that I got to read her journey and the way in which she grew and developed with each new book.
I say it over and over, Vivian doesn’t disappoint me, and I have loved reading her style. She is able to craft words that give so much meaning and life to a book and its characters. What beauty this trilogy has been. Definitely a 5 Star for me!
The Violet Trilogy (The Gilded Flower Trilogies Books 7-9) Vivian Winslow and is the last in the sets of The Gilded Flower Trilogies. You need to read the first two sets in this series as you get the complete background and understanding of why these characters are the way they are. Having all three books in one box set is a win as you can carry on reading without having to wait. The stories are captivating and engaging and Vivian has created some amazing characters and with her easy writing style the stories seamlessly flow seamlessly. These stories are full of passion and steam, love and loss, pain and lies and lots of twist and turns. They are also exciting and all so sexy, that you may just need a cold shower to cool down.
The Violet Trilogy is books 7-9 in the Gilded Flower Series by Vivian Winslow. You read about Violet in the Lily and Dahlia’s books. In these books you read about Lily and her relationship to the other girls. Since I did read the other books I found Vivian Winslow writing style amazing. She gives you enough information in the other series of books. Her characters are fully developed and intricate. As a reviewer, I have found it difficult to tell you about the stories because I want you to read them for yourself. Violet’s story is about secrets and her relationship with her father. Will she follow her Dad’s wishes and go with the arranged marriage? Will Lilly and Dahlia help her through this?

Ok so I’ve now read the Wildflowers series, The Lily and Dahlia trilogies and without a doubt Violets story is my favorite. I’ve looked forward to reading about her all the way through. You absolutely could read this trilogy as a standalone but I wouldn’t recommend it, There is a lot of story that comes before and they are all enjoyable reads.
So this story had me feeling all the feels, and had me on the edge of my seat more than once. The twists and turns were placed perfectly and although a few I felt coming the rest caught me totally off guard.
I am so glad I read all of these stories, and will definitely be checking out what else this author has available and what else she has coming.
Great story!
The Violet Trilogy by Vivian Winslow is made up of three amazing stories; Wild Violet, Hidden Violet and True Violet. I would have to say that Violet is my favourite character, by a long stretch. I loved all of this authors leading ladies, but there was just something special about Violet and her energetic and colourful life.
From the men who capture her attention, to the women who stand tall for her, the Violet Trilogy is an emotional and will have every sense you possess on high alert. Violent is such an enigmatic character with a magnetic personality that just attracts a reader and relentlessly holds you attention. I was unable to stop reading, and things like sleep, eating and functioning came after the stories were finished. I had this insatiable hunger to know how it would all unfold. It was intriguing and electrifying and so many other qualities all rolled into one top quality trilogy. The capturing of each different personality and portrayal of these characters was simply breathtaking.
A stunning collection that ended too soon. Such a pleasure to read. 5 stars

The Violet Trilogy ( The Gilded Flower Trilogies Books 7-9) By Vivian Winslow is the story about Violet or Vi. If you haven’t read the previous 2 booklets I would recommend you doing so,as it’ll give you the back story on the other characters. I was hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I’ve been waiting on Vi’s story. There are definitely some twists and turns that had me trying to figure out what happens next. Some secrets are revealed and some truths we had no idea about. What secrets has she been keeping from her friends? Can she ever let someone else in? I highly recommend this book.

We finally get to Violets story. I was the most intrigued by her character. She is this independent woman that seems to have it all together and yet that’s just an outside view. Her whole existence is a mystery that I couldn’t wait to unpeel. The author definitely didn’t disappoint with Vi’s story. The term it’s just sex is so idiotic. Nothing is that simple. Vi is such a strong character that when you pulled back the façade you don’t expect to find this troubled person underneath. You can feel Thomas’s feelings for Vi jumping off the page. You also get more about Poppy. Overall I was excited for this story and can honestly say that I enjoyed every book and it’s ending.
This has been a cool way to read a series. Three trilogies all interconnected to each other but each telling a story – from different POVs. This is the last trilogy IN the trilogy (confusing, right?) and because each of the stories contained within are on the shorter side, it makes for a hefty epic saga. As with all of the other stories in this series, I think they should be read in order. I’m so grateful to be reading these after they were all finished. I can’t imagine reading them as “chapter books” while all of the stories unfolded.
The Violet Trilogy stars – you guessed it – Violet. She is a multi faceted human who is complex in who she is. She has a voice and uses it, but not always in the right ways. It’s been fun FINALLY truly meeting her and learning her story.
This has been a great series of stories. Each one held it’s own weight and I may have been satisfied with it alone, but as part of the whole – FANTASTIC.
The Violet trilogy is a romance series by Vivian Winslow and is part of the larger Gilded Flower series (books 7-9), although you do not need to read the Lily or Dahlia trilogies to enjoy these books I would highly recommend that you do! This trilogy is three books; Wild Violet, Hidden Violet and True Violet. If you have read the other series you will recognize Violet as the friend of Lily and Dahlia and now you finally get her story. Violet has lived the life of privilege as the daughter of an Indian business man and an English supermodel, but now everything seems to be falling apart for her. Her father wants to arrange a marriage for her and seems to have mapped her life out for her without her consent. Will Violet be able to find true love or will family obligations make her settle? This may be my favorite trilogy of this series yet, I loved Violet as a character and the way she grew as a person through out the books. This whole series has been fantastic from start up until now and I highly recommend these books to romance fans!

The Violet Trilogy by Vivian Winslow is Violet Rai’s story. It is books #7, #8, and #9 in the Gilded Flower Series. Her story really gives us an insight into the life of Lily and Dahlia’s BFF who completely intrigued me in the other books. She is quick-witted, intelligent, and a fun-loving party girl. But there were little things that I needed to know, some things that were alluded to but never explored, that had me wondering with so many questions- and I knew there was so much more to her story than what we were being shown/told.
This trilogy explores her world, pulling me into a tale that was so much more than I had expected. There were so many unexpected and surprising developments- twists that made me sit up and take notice, captivating me the whole while. It is a passionate story full of drama, friendship, daddy issues, romance, sizzle, flashbacks, secrets, challenges, plots, unlikely ally’s, intrigue, lies- and a rollercoaster of emotion. This box set contains the entire Violet Trilogy, so not only is it great value for money, but there is no wait between Violets books/story.
Ms. Winslow guides us through the story, painting a vivid picture, while we follow along as everything plays out. We watch all the highs and lows- discovering what makes Violet tic- all the secrets she’s held, all about her difficult relationship with her father and his plans for an arranged marriage, her hopes and fears, the fact there is an expectation that she will also embark on a career within her father’s multinational conglomerate and how she feels about it all. Then there’s the sizzling details of her romantic liaisons which really steamed up the screen of my kindle; as well as looking at her friendships with Lily, Dahlia and Thomas, some secrets are uncovered, and revelations made, and Violet faces challenges that will test her…. and so much more that you won’t want to miss out on!
The trilogy consists of:
– Wild Violet (Book #7)
– Hidden Violet (Book #8)
– True Violet (Book #9)
This trilogy could be read as a standalone, but there are relevant details, background information, and backstory to be found in the previous books that would enrich your reading experience of this story- plus there are parts of the plot that intersects with and plays out alongside storylines from previous books…. So, I really recommend reading the entire series, in sequence, to get the full impact of the story!
Thank you, Ms. Winslow!
The Violet Trilogy by Vivian Winslow is the third trilogy in the Gilded Flower series. This time we are taken into the world of Violet. Although these books can be read as stand-alone I would not recommend it as the background of the characters is built up throughout.
Violet has always come across as the wild one – the one who likes to party. And yet, behind it all, she is a person who is holding on tight to her secrets – secrets that could have a devastating effect.
Her life isn’t all roses either. With a very traditional Indian father she faces the prospect of an arranged marriage. Not something she wants to do. And so begins her life – fighting against what she should do in order to do what she wants to.
Along the way we get to see an in-depth look at who Violet really is, her wants and her desires. And with a multi-million business to run we also get to see the person behind all the fun.
And through it all we get to see who might be worthy of receiving her love.
This trilogy, for me, was the best one in the series. I loved the complexity and Violet and all the battles she had to overcome. The glimpses we were given of her in the previous books managed to just whet your appetite enough but still keep so much left to learn. This was a great way to round out this series. Another good read.
The Violet Trilogy focuses on Vi’s story. We finally get to see what she is up to. What has she been keeping from the girls? Will she ever let someone in? All these questions are answered plus behind the scenes from Lily and Dahlia’s trilogies.
The Violet Trilogy (The Gilded Flower Trilogies Books 7-9)
By Vivian Winslow
I was looking forward to reading Violet’s story, after reading the previous books. I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed. You don’t need to read the other ones before this trilogy but it is my advice that you do because they are awesome and it also gives you insight and foundation of all the characters.Vi has been through a lot In her life and it has made her shy away from relationships, she completely shuts down any emotion. I do love that she is very loyal to her friends Lily and Dahlia. She is a strong woman even when she doesn’t think she is. I don’t want to give anything away but this book takes you on a wonderful journey of her life. You must read it to find out where she ends up and if she ever opens herself up to love. I highly recommend this trilogy and the other books by Vivian she is an absolute genius!!

4 out of 5 stars
I have read several books by Vivian Winslow as I am very much in love with her characters in both the Wildflower series and this Gilded Flower series. I was looking forward to the trilogy with it’s focus on Vi and I wasn’t disappointed!
I enjoyed following Vi as she comes into her own with and I’m always impressed with Vivian Winslow’s ability to craft a steamy story with strong characters and an equally strong plot. Each woman I’ve read about in Vivian Winslow’s work has been strong with complexities that make her relatable, enjoyable and honestly, memorable. The structure of each story is always so well balanced and I can’t help but get lost in these books until I am finished. I would recommend reading this series from the beginning, while I’m sure Vi’s story would read well as a stand alone I love how each character is connected with each other and reading their stories as a whole. Once again another great set of books by this author, I would definitely recommend.
The Violet Trilogy by Vivian Winslow
4 Stars!!!!
I once again was pulled into this world and I was hooked from page one. I loved being able to get to know Violet and to also see how she and her friends lives were shaped by the what happened in their lives. This book once again was another way to get to know not only Poppy’s family but now her daughters’ friend Violet.
I was very drawn to Violet and this was a very good way to get to know her. I could feel the emotional ocean that was her reaction to her father’s basic ultimatum. I could feel how her emotions were for the situations she found herself in and how she as too scared to admit her real feelings. I was so glad that Samir and Violet were able to get over their stubbornness. I really was hooked from page one and being the third trilogy I have read by this author I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this one just as much as i did the first. I will definitely be reading more from this author in future.

I have been waiting patiently to finally get around to reading Violets stories. I loved Lily and Dahlia’s so I had a feeling I was going to love Violet’s and I was right! I really do adore this author’s writing, she creates the most wonderful characters that you cannot help but like. There were a few snippets of what might come at the end of Dahlia’s books so but Violet’s story was not what I was expecting at all. Violet was such an amazing character to read about, I think it was clear that things that happened in her past has shaped the way she intended to face her future and I think through reading her stories I could totally understand why she would be that way. She is a very loyal person and that comes across well over the three books. I think that the author did a great job with the depth she put into Violets character, I absolutely loved reading her stories!
I really do love this author and I can’t wait to see what she will come out with next.
I must admit I had such high hopes for this installment in The Gilded Flower Series from Vivian Winslow. Don’t get me wrong, I did really enjoy it, it was quite the rollercoaster that I have come to expect from Vivian, but for me personally, Violet just fell short. I was just left, I don’t know, the only words I can really think of are, wanting more. I needed more from Violet. She really didn’t have that evolution of character that I had hoped she would have had. In fact I had found the secondary characters to have more epiphanies and life changing moments, such as her father who I previously thought of as a dirty scoundrel but ended up changing all my thought of him. Violet just kept making all these confusing decisions, without much reason and then was so shocked with her outcome, like really? What did you expect to get? In the same point, I do get her mentality of trying to protect herself by building her walls like a fortress. Problem with that is though, when our walls are so thick, even the good can’t get in. Buckle in and get ready to go for a wild ride as you read through the journey of Violet’s life of love, betrayal, and so much more.
Wild Violet:
This was where we get the first of many twists and turns in Vi’s story. Definitely nothing that was predictable, which made things very intense and drew you into the story pushing you further into reading on to find out what would happen next and find out how things would work out. Bonus: unexpected and delicious man candy to read about!
Hidden Violet:
This was a details and secrets book. This is where we got all the juicy insights and what answers that we do get are really divulged in Hidden Violet. I feel as if this is where I had hoped a few more questions that I had would have been addressed. Maybe the disjointed effect came for me with the major decision Vi makes and the future coming into play fast after we just wrapped up getting bits of her past. I think that might have been it, but I am not sure. I had hoped that things would become a bit clearer in the final book of Violet’s story. So onward into the night I read, desperately seeking answers.
True Violet:
I am left speechless with this book. There is a lot to talk about with this one honestly, but almost all of it would give away just about all of it. I can tell you I felt just about all of the emotions on the chart while reading it. It is a good thing I love my kindle, like absolutely love it, because it was close to being a projectile object at times. Other times I found myself on the brink of sobs one moment and laughing out loud the next. It was crazy times but worth it. I may still be in the dark on a few things but overall this was still a solid four star read and I will be back for more. Fingers crossed there is some more of Vi in our future??
