*ARC Review*
The Vigilante’s Choice is an action packed conclusion to The Vigilante series! Hall wastes no time getting us into the action. This book starts up immediately where book one, Vigilante, left off. I was happy to see that several of the questions that I had from book one were answered. Hall writes strong characters that I can appreciate. Ashlyn is strong, independent and capable. Her relationship with the Vigilante isn’t formed because she needs him, but rather because she wants him. Can’t wait to continue the series!
Book 2 in the series, Jadon Cain was dead to the world, but he is very much alive and using it to protect those he loves. As Orian is upping his criminal game putting lives at risk, no more so than Ashlyn. Ashlyn and Jason’s relationship builds, but can he protect her? Well written engaging, fast paced, action packed, steamy, and more! We find outreach about Jadon as the vigilante and how he became. The story keeps your attention and that cliffhanger! Cant wait for more!
The Vigilante’s Choice is book 2 out if the series and a perfect conclusion to book 1. It starts where the first book ends and I really enjoyed it. You get more information about Cain and there relationship gets a bit more steamy. I love them both there chemistry is great. Like in book one there is suspense, thriller and romance to be found. I did find some characters I really didn’t like which made the suspense even stronger as I didn’t want them to succeed. Highly recommending this series. Just diving into book 3 now.
The book starts where the first book Vigilante ends. We get more of Jason Cain’s backstory to further understand him more. There is definitely chemistry between Jadon and Ashlyn. This is an age-gap romance that is different from the norm. Ashlyn is becoming a favorite character of mine along with her mother and sisters. I will not say much more on this book for fear of giving away spoilers. Another must read by Lawrence Hall… I can’t wait for the next one!!
The Vigilante’s Choice is the second book in the series by Lawrence Hall. The book starts where the first book Vigilante ends. We get more of Jason Cain’s backstory to further understand him more. There is definitely chemistry between Jadon and Ashlyn. This is an age-gap romance that is different from the norm. Ashlyn was one of my favorite characters. She has strength and tenacity without being too overbearing. She can definitely handle herself.
There are twists and turns that kept me engaged in the story. Vigilante’s Choice is action packed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the next installment. Kudos to Lawrence Hall!
Vigilante’s Choice picks up where the first book, Vigilante left off. I love the connection and relationship between Ashlyn and Cain and their chemistry was palpable. The story is well written, intriguing, with twist and turns along the way, the characters were engaging and complex. A fantastic page turning read that kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. It definitely didn’t disappoint and I loved every single page of it. I highly recommend you give it a read, you won’t be disappointed.
I received a free copy of this book, after I bought, read and reviewed the first book in this series. Although police thrillers and paranormal romances are not my preferred genre, I found much to appreciate in Hall’s continuation of the love story between Jadon and Ashley. The ending of this one was far more satisfying, and I loved the repetition of dialogue that occurred in the epilogue, drawing from a previous scene where roles were reversed. Very cute! If you read books in this genre, you will not be disappointed reading The Vigilante’s Choice!
Vigilante’s Choice is the sequel to Vigilante and I hesitate to call it a Duet because the book leaves the door open for more super-hero adventures.
Ashlyn Rivers is a young detective who is hell-bent on fighting crime in the city of Orias alongside her mentor and boss. Her attraction to police work started at a young age when she and her mother were assaulted.
Jadon Cain is a young police officer whose whole life changes during a freak accident. He spends years recovering and relearning himself and his new super hero abilities. He uses his powers to help the city and the woman he loves.
This story picks up right where Vigilante ended. The writing is clean and fast-paced. We love to hate Orion, the super-powered bad guy. He makes a great villain and thinking back on the book I still hate him!
The chemistry between Cain and Ashlyn is undeniable. Cain is someone Ashlyn has admired from afar and in book two readers learn more about her mysterious connection to him. This is an age-gap romance the same way Twilight is an age-gap romance. That’s all I can say, you have to read it to understand and, NO, Cain isn’t a vampire.
The one thing I really loved, besides the smoking-hot chemistry between the love interests, was Ashlyn’s character. She’s not a cowering damsel in distress, she holds her own. She and Cain work well together in more than just the bedroom.
This novel has plenty of plot twists to keep you engaged and guessing. It’s a perfect mix of superhero action meets Romancelandia. The end isn’t a cliffhanger, per se, but a carrot dangled in front of the reader promising more kick-ass paranormal adventures from Ashlyn and Cain.
The Vigilante’s Choice NEW RELEASE TODAY!!!!
The Vigilante-Book 1 left you on a bit of a cliffy. I was fortunate enough to not have to bite my nails waiting for book 2.
The Vigilante’s Choice gives you more information regarding our Hero. We get his back story in bk 2. Which I LOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEDDDD. I also felt pain for our Hero. What he went through would have broken many. It is also my worst worst WORST FEAR!!!!!!!!!!
VC we get to finally witness the love between our Jadon, and Ash. It is beautiful and lustfilled. It made me want to be 30 lbs lighter, muscles, and my man to have super strength to hold me……while standing……with no wall 😉 sweet sweet goodness.
There were a few moments that I got a bit distracted with those little details again. This is an example how my mind works. There are two instances where there were naked exercises- not the fun kind. Side note, I couldn’t do unfun exercises naked. TOOOOO much wiggling, bouncing going on. Give me the spanks please.—-After the naked exercises, they came inside. There are two crucial conversations that take place. All through the conversations I kept thinking… they be naked talking like this? His balls are touching that chair…. Her hooha is touching that. I never had a plot changing conversation naked while walking around. Not saying it isn’t possible. But I am saying it isn’t possible to me. I couldn’t focus. Temptation swaying around me…..
VC proved that this would make an epic show on TV or a movie. It has the sarcastic, smart mouth evil mastermind who talks more than he does anything else. You have the heart wrenching moments that take place. The epic show downs of the hero and villain that are well matched, though it feels it leans slightly in one direction. In true Lawrence fashion, is also has quick wit and humor.
I was kept on the edge waiting to find out what happens. It did not disappoint.
These books are fast, fun, and fantastic.
There were twists that I was not expecting. Happiness where it feels like it shouldn’t be. Love in chaos. Epic fight scenes. Shoot outs. And allll the drama that you need.
