Megan’s bakery is robbed and the one person she has been avoiding, is the person assigned to her case, Caleb Thornton. Megan and Caleb each have a past that brought them to where they are today. It once brought them together in a different way. Will Megan be able to overcome that anger and embarrassment? Will Caleb ever get past and work through his big mistake? The way their lives are tangled together really gives depth to their story. This story caught my heart and attention and would not let go until the end. Iris Morland wove these two lives together through her words and I was caught in the tangled web.
Heather Costa and Jeffrey Kafer have complimentary voices. The transitions between them was smooth and kept he story flowing. I enjoyed listening to this narration. Ms. Costa and Mr. Kafer brought this story to life.
Brashy Megan Flanders, is independent, she wants to do things her own way, but when a stalker interrupts her life, Caleb Thornton wants to protect her. He sees more of her weaknesses than what she wants him to see. Caleb is hiding a major secret that has been, really been bothering him. But when it becomes public, how will it effect her feelings for him?
I really enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Heather Costa and Jeffrey Kafer. They tell the story with emotion. audiobookobsessionreviewer
The Very Thought of You: The Thorntons, Book Two was another great read by Iris Morland. Megan has two goals; to run her bakery and to avoid Caleb. He has made her life difficult since he arrested her a decade ago. Unfortunately her bakery is robbed and Caleb is assigned to figure out what happened. Through the investigation, they both can’t deny their attraction anymore. I loved Heather Costa and Jeffrey Kafer’s narration of the characters. I can’t wait to read more by the author.
Intense I hate you/I love you sitch.
Megan has hated Caleb for years because she felt totally humiliated by him. Caleb doesn’t necessarily hate Megan but loves to rile her up. Neither will ever admit to having feelings for the other.
When all that passion put into hating each other turns to positive vibes, things get white hot!
Great read! I loved Megan & Caleb!
Megan and Caleb are always fighting but the opposite attracts…They will have to face the demons from their past in order to haven future together. A powerful love story.
I liked the book. I did not read the first book in the Thornton series yet but, it did not impact Caleb and Megan’s story at all. You will enjoy the reading experience because of the range and depth of emotion the characters go through from teenagers to adults. The love/hate relationship between Caleb and Megan is bittersweet part of their story. They have a past that impacts their present but, makes them who they are today. Now, if only they could accept that fact.
I am looking forward to reading the first book about Harrison and Sarah and the third book about Mark and Abby.
Love and hate mixed in a relationship. Too much explicit sex.
so-so
Good character development. Sweet book, made you appreciate all the other outlying characters.
Great read!!
It was a very easy book to read.
Very sexy….did not finish
Dramatic story
I really enjoyed the characters and will continue the series.
Megan has hated Caleb ever since she was 17 and he arrested her for underage drinking. Seems reasonable to hate someone for arresting you when you had indeed committed a crime, right? Wrong. And it’s that attitude of Megan’s that sets the tone, the very dreary, negative, tone for the rest of the story, and the reason why I couldn’t get into The Very Thought of You.
Caleb wants to fix what’s wrong between them, but Megan resists, FOREVER, it seems like, so the relationship between the two remains antagonistic for nearly the entire story. And it bugged me to no end. And the stupid reason for their breakup? More than stupid. Just plain juvenile on Megan’s part. Can you tell I didn’t like her? She irritated me so much that I couldn’t in good conscience rate this higher than 2 stars. I liked Caleb and his family, and the story is OK, but Megan is such a horrible character, and the tone is pretty dreary, that I just couldn’t with this story. Just could not.
Enjoyed it.
Good by the pool read
good book
This book had a great plot and good characters. However, some of the dialogue was horrible. I would skip some areas of the book because the dialog was so bad. It was almost as if the story was written by two authors not speaking to one another.
Great Reading. I highly recommend it.
