This is one of my favorite eras and this book didn’t disappoint. I loved the main character. She is sweet as well as strong and very relatable. I can’t wait to read more!

I loved this book. Great imaginative author!
Enjoying this series
I enjoyed the history also woven in to the story. I even laughed at some of the story development, I like the cleverness.
Lots of twists and turns. Good story
I enjoyed this book.
A fast, read. Cute characters and a relaxing little mystery.
The plot was excellent. It is a historical mystery playing out during World War I and needed a fair amount of research which was well done. The book held my interest throughout. I liked the fact that the mystery is solved by the introduction of another mystery.
posie parker rises to the top again. her character and the world she brings us into- both rich and luscious with everything you could desire from a mystery and you get the historical aspects too!
I used the word “realistic” to describe this book in that it presents a complex plot as experienced by a capable young woman in post-war London and the surrounding area. Unlike many mysteries involving younger female detectives, the plot is intelligent and complex as are the characters. Although Posie’s life has its tragedies and problems, she doesn’t obsess about them like so many contemporary female detectives in her age group, especially American ones that often seem prone to hyperbole. She’s more mature and not prone to drama. Rather than Posie’s personal experience interfering with her work, it adds an extra dimension to it. It makes her more real.
I really enjoyed it.
A great read!
Good ending. Unexpected.
Just when you think you have it figured out the plot takes a twist. All the stories have a line to Posey Parker.
I like the level of historical details the author writes in this novel. An enjoyable read.
A cozy mystery with slight paranormal overtones in which the MC learns that the past can overshadow the present. An interesting mixture of characters whose personalities attract and repel others simultaneously.
