Even cursed blood can fall prey to love’s bite.Kenton Morley and Lawrence Derrickson have hated each other ever since they were feuding border lords in medieval England and Scotland…seven hundred years ago. When their bloodlines were cursed, birthing the world’s first vampires.Their feud has since carried through the centuries based on a new argument: Kenton seeks to destroy the Cheld—the only … argument: Kenton seeks to destroy the Cheld—the only line of humans capable of killing their kind—while Lawrence seeks to save them.
It’s said that men can forget, but never forgive. It’s also said that true love knows no bounds. When the vampires move to Stone Haven, Pennsylvania, Alessandra Fiore will find out firsthand which of those old adages is true.
It doesn’t matter whether she believes in vampires or not…
Because they believe in her. And she’s on the very cusp of discovering her dormant powers as a Cheld—a potential vampire hunter.
And with both of these strangely wealthy newcomers’ storming into her sleepy, peaceful town, warning her to stay away from the other, what is a girl to do? Especially when Kenton—the one that supposedly wants to kill her—has a devilish twinkle in his eyes that she just can’t say no to?
No matter how dangerous she instinctively knows both men to be, strengths and powers of her own are beginning to bubble to the surface, encouraging her that she can take care of herself, thank you very much.
Love and Hate—two sides of the same coin. Literally.
The only thing left to do is flip that coin and hope for the best…to see which old saying is true. And how many innocents bet the wrong way.
THE VAMPIRE’S TEMPTATION is a steamy vampire romance with an HEA. Fans of Elizabeth Hunter, Jeaniene Frost and Lynsay Sands may enjoy this paranormal romance series.

The Vampire’s Temptation by Cecelia Mecca is hands down one of the best paranormal romances I have read in years! I am always interested in what twists an author brings to a vampire story to make it different from the others and stand out. And this story definitely STANDS OUT!! Cecelia Mecca created a completely captivating world, enticing characters and made it seem effortless. You name it, this story has it! The writing is fantastic, it is full of adventure, fast paced, and completely interesting. The characters are amazing! I love them all! And ohhh my god do I wish Kenton was real *swoon*. This story has sooo much and I don’t want to give any spoilers. Suffice it to say that it wowed me and I want so badly to hear more!! I highly recommend it, this is a story you will not regret reading!
This is the first book in a brand new vampire series. And it’s refreshingly different from other series. There is a new spin to an old favorite. How about vampires walking in the sun? How about a villain who is also a hero? Want to know more? You better read the book! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to find out where Ms. Mecca will take us. I do know that the stories will be great and the characters interesting and the vampires swoon-worthy.
The Vampire’s Temptation by Cecelia Mecca is a wickedly addictive 5 STAR read. I’ve read a lot of Paranormal books and this one stands out and no doubt will be a best seller!
The author’s writing is masterfully flawless with enticingly cleaver and witty characters and dialogue. The storyline rooted me with it’s suspense, danger, unforeseen plot twist and turns, and a four alarm passionate Romance between unlikely enemies.
This is a new original and fresh vampire story with different variables than in other vampire books I’ve read before.
I enjoyed this book so much that I’m looking forward to the next book in this series, and I find myself wanting to move to the quaint little town of Stone Haven Pennsylvania! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good paranormal read.
Happy Reading!

A romance with bite! Great book!

Engrossing, enthralling & unputdownable. I’m not a particular fan of vampire books but I do love the author’s historical books & I’d heard only good things about this book. I wasn’t disappointed, I read it in two sittings, it was just so very very good. The characters were well fleshed & very likeable. The story flowed effortlessly & I can’t wait to read the next book
Vampires crafted for the modern era. Fast-paced, addictive plot. Believable, multi-layered characters you instantly bond with.
Mecca’s first foray into paranormal is beyond-the-realm good! Bring on the next book in the series, please!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
This is my first vampire book and I am very impressed! It’s a page turner! I absolutely loved the pull they felt! I enjoyed the history that was brought with the story to explain so much of what happened in the past that makes such a difference in the plot. All the details make this story fantastic!
I can’t wait for book #2!
If you are a Cecelia Mecca fan, love her historical romances DO NOT MISS THIS NEW SERIES!!!

WELL DONE ,Cecelia !!
Looking forward to the next installment to this new series!
If I could give this book 10 stars I would it is that good. The Vampire’s Temptation by Cecelia Mecca is book 1 in her new Bloodwite series. I have been reading Cecelia’s books for a while now and they are all mostly historical medieval border romance story, which I love, so when I was given this book and it was a contemporary vampire PRN which I don’t normally read but, seeing it was a Cecelia Mecca book I thought oh what the heck. What an amazing surprise! I am still in awe over this book. From the very first page to the last this story was just captivating and I could not put it down. It was nothing like I expected from a vampire story and so much more realistic. This story is the whole package from great character, perfect setting, wonderful places and a heart stopping adventure. Cecelia Mecca never ceases to amaze me and is truly one of the most talented writer I have had the privilege to read. I cannot wait for more of this Bloodwite series and you can now consider me a new PRN fan. YES YES YES you must read this book! You will be so happy that you did.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I ate through this book like a starved monkey. No lie! I’m talking my coffee growing cold and hours melting away. What could be more enticing than the Hero being the Villain? And even moreso, the Heroine is attracted to him not knowing that he has come to kill her! This book had more twists than a hot pretzel and was equally as delicious!
Kenton, a 700 year old vampire, has descended upon Stone Haven with one goal in mind… to kill her. Eliminating her from this earth was a necessity to keep his kind safe. His nemesis has moved in next door, obviously arriving to protect her but that would not stop him from achieving his objective. Lawrence was a speed bump at best.
Alessandra moved to Stone Haven a few years ago and felt she had found her home since the town had such a historical vibe to it. She was, after all, a history teacher soon to be a history professor. But things were suddenly changing with her as she came into abilities she had no answers for. She would soon learn that the history she learned had a whole other side to it.
I was gifted with an ARC and am happy to leave a review. This book comes with my highest recommendation. It’s unlike any other vampire novel I’ve read and I’ve gone through several series.
I have to admit I was a little nervous about reading a PNR book from Ms. Mecca. I am a fan of hers through her Boarder Series (historical romance) and one of the things I absolutely love is how much research she puts into her novels. It is very obvious. So, you can imagine my hesitation at her breaching out into another genre. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Plus, how many ways can a vampire story be told? My sincerest apologies, Ms. Mecca. You have outdone yourself. Absolutely brilliant how you weaved the two series together without jeopardizing either one. This is a completely new (at least to me) telling of vampires and how/why they exist. I highly recommend this and eagerly await the next installment!
Kento Morley has been a vampire since medieval times. He and his brothers have spent centuries honouring their parent’s deaths by killing any of “The Cheld” they find. The Cheld are humans who develope extra powers that help them keep the balance of power against the vampires.
Alessandra Fiore is a history teacher. She has just landed a job at the university.
There are two new very attractive and obviously rich men in town. They both seem to make her hair stand on end. Something very strange is happening to her.
This is the first book in a new series that I’m definitely already addicted to. Plenty of great characters and an intriguing storyline. Our author has her own set of “rules” for her vampires. That makes them good fun.
I go and get the next book now.
Vampires Temptation is an awesome start to this new series. I loved the main and supporting characters and look forward to seeing more of them in the future books. The book is very well written, definitely entertaining and the romance is hot and sweet. I like that the mystery is ongoing, it’s not necessarily a cliffhanger book it just ends with a mystery that is ongoing. I highly recommend this book its a wonderful paranormal romance / mystery!
This was a great premise, two vampire clans after the same woman. One wants to kill her the other to protect her. That sets the scene for a great paranormal romance. The characters were well developed, the two lead males different enough to make both interesting. This is a new take on the vampire hunter theme, and while she’s certainly no Buffy, Alessandra is a likable heroine falling for her enemy. I think I’ve read too many high action reads of late because I have to admit all the dinner dates and chats grew a little boring, but the author does manage those well by dropping important information into them. I didn’t find this as ‘just another vampire book’, which some of them can fall into. Good read.
An ancient feud? Check. Swoon-worthy vampires? Check. Sizzling romance? Check.
I mean… what more could you want?
The Vampire’s Temptation is a brilliantly clever twist on vampire romance. While staying true to the kinds of books PNR readers love, Cecelia Mecca has managed to create something totally her own. I’m really excited to see where this series goes!
Alessandra leads a normal life and had just accepted a position as a professor at the local university. She never expected to meet two devilishly handsome men at the same time who happened to know more about her life than she did. She thought Lawrence was sexy and fascinating, but Kenton made her feel special and coveted at the same time. He was mysterious, with his sultry eyes that looked right through her into her soul, his dreamy voice, and chiseled body. She was concerned at how fast she was falling for him; a person she barely knew. Why does she feel so connected to Kenton?
Since meeting Kenton, Alessandra had been feeling a little off; her senses were heightened which caused her to be very aware when danger was near. She wasn’t sure why Kenton had settled in her small town, but she knew that he was an important part of her future. He made her feel safe amidst all the changes in her life and he would never leave her. They would be together forever.
I absolutely loved this book and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it. This may be considered a Paranormal book, but it is also a beautiful love story filled with romance and passion. The character’s emotional journey pull you into their lives and you can only hope that this kind of love truly does exist. I am looking forward to reading book two in the series, “The Immortal’s Salvation”, featuring Lawrence and Alessandra’s best friend Toni, which comes out later this month.
This was my first paranormal/vampire read in years and I loved reading about an adult relationship. Alessandra and Kenton have good chemistry and now I understand why everyone was talking about the caboose! Oh, and the first bite scene had just the right amount of spice. I’m typically a historical reader, but I enjoyed taking the time away from that genre to read this book as I had no idea where it was going to take me next. Being able to picture the town really helped the book to come alive for me. I’m hoping we catch up a little more on them in the next book and I am looking forward to Lawrence’s story.
I have been reading Cecelia Mecca’s Border Series for a while now. I loved all of those. So I thought I would try out her new Bloodwite Series. This is the first PNR that I have read. I wasn’t sure how well I would like it but pleasantly surprised that I loved it. The Vampire’s Temptation is well written and has great characters just like Cecelia’s other books.I can’t wait to continue the series. Thank you, Cecelia for another wonderful read!
I received a review copy of this book – this is my honest review
This was a great jumping off book. A first in many more to come..
Kill or be killed- was his way of life after becoming a vampire. The funding border Lord whose family started the curse 700 years ago tried to explain that the only ones capable of killing them, also family, didn’t have to be feared.. Then Kenton found Alessandra and things felt different. What changed? Is it bad or good? Will the families be the same?
