When Ethan discovers that the love of his life, Victoria, is actually the child of a monstrous beast and must marry another man to save her family, he retreats to a monastery to live out the rest of his days alone. But the Church has other ideas. Ethan’s mentor asks him to lead famous vampire hunter Dom Calmet back to his home village to rid the town of the vampires that plague it. Ethan must … it. Ethan must then take a journey, emotionally and literally, back to the town of his youth and decide between love and faith when he once again meets The Vampire’s Daughter.
Containing many tropes of a classic Gothic novel (an obscure heroine, an indecisive hero, an exotic location, references to classical literature, dark castles, a foreboding sense of danger) combined with the sensuality of a modern romance, The Vampire’s Daughter will leave you gasping for more.

This is a great book! Vampire life is told here as the writer sees it. Lord Victor Vladimir is the strongest vampire (or Nosferatu) known in the world and probably the first. He has found a way to have a child and envisions a golden future for her where her children will make his breed even stronger. They could live in the sunlight and dominate man. Before that he has already found a partner for her. Ignorant of her future, Victoria falls in love with a young man who serves the Church. He has not yet taken his vows and is turning away from church because he is in love with her. Until the night the village where they live is attacked by vampires. He tries to save Victoria but she has heard from her father that she has to get married and sends him away. She gives him her mother’s amulet. This will protect him from vampires. He turns his back on her, lifeless and lost.
Years later, their path crosses again and he realizes he cannot kill her, even if this is his job.
A great book to read, divided into 3 sub books. I personally liked the last subbook the most. Real love cannot be stopped.

Most part is was good but I didn’t need to read about Victoria’s father screwing his harem or how he drugged her mother his human wife to visit with his slaves, disturbing, or her arranged future husband with his band of girls. I guess that want male vampires are good at keeping many women no matter the vows of only ever being with their ‘wife’. If I knew I would be reading harems and mater I would have passed.
That being said Dracula’s (that’s what I’m calling him since he is a Vlad) daughter from a human mating (it was planned by Manipulation & blackmail) but Victoria isn’t like her father, she belive in God, can touch holy objects and the holy water and wears a rosary, also can tolerate day light but on cloudy days. She’s a half breed, compassion and love as a human but the skin, the strength of a vampire who eats food laced with blood. Her best friend Ethan sees past her differences and still loves her as her. He is an alter boy who wants to be involved with the church but a certain level where he can serve but marry his love. He has never seen his fellow villagers hate Victoria so much as he does as she grows older but he still loves her. He plans are derailed for a future with Victoria when she reveals her fathers plans after Ethan revealed his. But her father’s plans have an alternative motive and it isn’t the lies the man his brainwashing his daughter believes.
Does her being with a male vampire and breed really going to ‘break’ a curse from her ‘ ancestor’ bargain??
What really happened to her mother??
Did her father truly love her as a daughter or a pawn??
Will Victoria get her ever after with Ethan or will the be forced to separate the second time after 7 years apart??
If you can get past what I mentioned in the beginning about the secondary characters sex life, this is a good story.
This a is unique vampire story set in medieval times and was a pleasant surprise.
It is well written, provides believable characters and a story that is filled with love, pain, action, suspense and inspiration that good prevails over evil which is my favorite type of story. I Highly recommend this book.
I liked the other cover better that I have versus the one here on Bookbub
