I enjoy PNR, but I usually don’t read vampire stories. Though, every now and then, I’ll pick one up. This time it was The Vampire’s Curse. I like the premise and the writing. The pacing was a great match considering this was a short story (imo). Sonia and Andrei’s characters are built quickly, but with enough information that you don’t feel as though you are missing anything. In the story, questions arose concerning what would happen to Andrei’s “children” if the curse ever broke. There was no resolve for this, but I was still curious because it was one of the things that hurt him so horribly. I also wanted a better outcome for Korinna; I really enjoyed her character. I appreciated the straightforward communication in this book. The story was well done and I look forward to the next in the series. 3.5-4 stars
Great read!!
I love different views of heaven and hell, angels and devils. All energies, used in different ways and love conquers all…..always.
I just can’t get enough of Valerie’s stories. I am always drawn to anything she writes because its so unique and entertaining to read. And a great read this vampire romance was. I loved it from start to finish. The different approach to a vampire story makes Passion Awakened a must read for all PNR lovers.
First let me say that I love the name Andrei and he was such a great character. I loved his struggle, guilt, and the darkness that was closing in on him. I loved the way Valerie write this story of vampires being drawn to their mates by dreaming about them. Andrei is a great King and I loved his relationship with his close friend Roman. Sonia is a sweet character and I loved her gypsie/Romanian heritage in this book.
This story is so great. I like that the vampires travel through the mist and their world and ours are separated. The way vampires find their mates was different in a good way and added a enjoyable twist on the story. The curse placed on Andrei was great and added so much to the story. It was complex and well though out and I liked that as the story progressed Andrei was discovering new ways it was affecting him. I just loved every second spent reading this book.
Another great book by Valerie. I will never get enough of her books and I definitely recommend it.
An Angels Torment is just a glimpse of the love story of Tegan and Ana. This story has its own twist on love and loss. Tegan and Ana fall in love but when he goes to the seven to ask them to make Ana his mate, he is denied and forced to walk away. This is a great start on the next book that follows. Once again Valerie Twombly does not disappoint!
Fall into Darkness was an incredible start to a new series. I was blow away by Eli and Ashley’s story. These characters and storyline were brilliantly written. I would gladly Fall into Darkness again as long as Valerie Twombly is leading the way with another amazing story!!!
