When Maggie described vampires as high maintenance, I literally laughed because that is what the author described Christian at the very start. They seemed to put too much importance in appearance. As the story progresses, Maggie ‘humanized’ him in a way and having learned of his past, it became clear why he is as he is. At least he learned to fight And defend for what was his. And it looks like there is more to the story.

This is a great read! Fab storyline with exciting characters, I really really enjoyed this as much as the previous books!
Maggie Jarrett has never had a real kiss, the kind that makes your toes curl. She takes a job as a vampire feeder, not expecting anything more than her past experiences. Christian Stewart is a billionaire and finds himself extremely drawn to Maggie. She does not feel worth but he finds her perfect.
This is a drama filled contemporary hot romance filled with action. The romance is great and it was great to see how they overcome barriers to be together. The characters themselves are great, interesting and with dynamic personalities. The storyline itself has enough turns and twists to maintain interest. This is a great addition to the series.

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Wow!!! Another gr8 story. I love the fact that these books can be read alone and you can still understand them, but they also connect together. Christian is a vampire and he’s looking for a donor. Maggie’s a human and needs some money to pay for school. Christian also is a commitment phobe, so when things start to heat up he pushes Maggie away, (or tries to). There’s more going on this story that keeps the reader interested. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Emotionally thrilling, action packed and engaging adventure filled with excitement, intrigue and undeniable passion …. this heart pounding read had me on the edge of my seat and breathless from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this read.
An Education in Scandal by Isadora Brown is the fifth book in The Somerset Supernaturals Series. This book stands alone with a happy ever after ending but is set in the same world as other books in the Somerset Supernaturals Series with characters in common with other books in the series. In this book, human Somerset University student Maggie Jarrett meets vampire Christian Stewart when she interviews for a job as his blood donor. After the interview, Christian decides to offer Maggie the position. This is the beginning an interesting relationship between them that turns out to be different from what each of them expected. This romance is sweet and sensual with interesting characters and I was immediately sucked into the story. I loved this book and think any paranormal romance reader would love it too. An Education in Scandal is an awesome romantic paranormal read!
I love this series! Christian fights his attraction for Maggie as long as he can. Vampire and Faerie don’t mix. Well. I really enjoyed this interesting installment in the series!

This world gets more complex with every book that’s added to the series. We get the opportunity to learn more about the vampires who exist outside of the royal courts and we start to unearth some truths about the mysterious fae race. Maggie’s sweet and innocent but not completely naive. She’s trusting but that also means she trusts her own intuition to tell her when something’s right or terribly wrong. As a vampire, Christian’s had centuries to lose his belief in love but the connection he immediately feels with Maggie has him questioning everything he thought he knew. There’s several plot twists here that have you questioning who can be trusted. It pulled me in from the beginning and made me care deeply about these two getting their happily-ever-after. And once they have it, will they get to keep it?
