What if the only way to save him was to turn him into a monster?Tony never asked to be a vampire. He didn’t even know they existed until he interrupted the wrong man. Eden has always avoided turning anyone, but there was something about Tony that made her do it. But now, she has to face the consequences of her actions that night. And adding a new vampire into the mix, doesn’t make that any … make that any easier.

Until next time… Happy Reading!
I really enjoyed Eden and Tony’s story, it very sweet, with only a little angst! As always Laura Greenwoods stories are excellent and highly addictive, one is never enough!
Another wonderfully delightful short story! Makes a great afternoon escape! Eden, the vampire, and Tony, accountant in human life now fledgling vampire, find each other after a brutal incident leaves Tony dying in an alley. Eden decides to “save” him and turns into vampire. Tony takes to it so easily and seemlessly that Eden is a bit out of sorts. A tingle, sizzle and connection is initated between them. Eden has a secret and needs some advice n help and turns to a shifter. Tony comes to discover his close friend is a shifter and they bond over that. Edens secret is she is born shifter and made vampire, evidently she’s the only one (that they know of). Life flows and the two take to life and learn to mix with Kem and his wife the Dryad. This story line is great for afternoon escapes and lazy afternoons! Enjoy!
Eden finds Tony on the verge of death and is drawn to save him. She kills the vampire that drained him and left him to die. When Tony awakens Eden is frantic about how he will react. I loved that Tony took everything in stride. He preferred being an alive vampire than a dead human. Eden stressed out so much about turning him without express permission even with all his assurances. The Paranormal Council is a fantastic series and I’ve read several of the books more than once.
The Vampire’s Bite by Laura Greenwood is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sally Roughton.
I just love Laura’s Books! They always leave me begging for more! I cannot wait for the fifth book in the series The Witch’s Stripes to be released on audible. Each book in this series can be read as standalone.
Sally did a great job on the narration. I cannot wait to listen to more of her projects in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves insta-love Paranormal Romances.
Laura Greenwood has a knack for creating characters who come across as surprisingly sweet in what turns out to be a somewhat steamy read in this series. I enjoyed the romance with the not-so-usual twist of the female rescuing and turning the human who turns out to be her mate.
The Vampires Bite by Laura Greenwood
Imagine walking down the street, see a fight, and next waking up as a vampire!
What happens when a vampire member of the Paranormal Council of Six comes upon another vampire whom has just killed a human? This is a vampire that she has worked to get off the streets for years due to his habit of killing when he fed. Most vampires don’t kill when feeding. They take enough to slake their thirst leaving the human with enough blood to stay alive.
Eden came upon the scene just as the other vampire finished draining the human and he took off. This time Eden was struck by the urge to save the victim’s life. This is something she had never done before. The only way to save a human that has been drained is to turn them. Make them into a vampire. A very tricky business especially when done to a stranger.
What happens when the stranger “Tony” wakes up in Eden’s apartment and discovers that not only are vampires real but, now he is a vampire! He is intrigued by Eden with her pink hair. Eden is unusually attracted to him also but, she has been keeping a large secret her entire long life. Not even the other members of the paranormal 6 Council have any idea. What will happen if/when her secret comes out?
A very enjoyable read with a well thought out plot. Some great twists and turns plus a few steamy scenes leading to a HEA.

Eden Chambers paced back and forth, upset with herself that she had turned someone who hadn’t even known that paranormals existed! Todd had gone on a rampage, and if she hadn’t turned the man, and after all it wasn’t his fault, the human would have died. The man on her bed began to wake up. He grabbed her hand and she thought she might have felt a zing of electricity, but she ignored it. Asking what he remembered, she filled in the information for him that he was now a vampire.
Eden and Tony attended the Elders meeting where Tony was introduced and Todd’s death was discussed. Tony was taking it all very well, pretty much glad to find that there was so much more in the world than just humans. He also found himself feeling very protective of Eden, which made no sense since she was several hundred years old and more than capable of taking care of herself. Eden likewise was noticing a desire to take his hand more often than she should. She was attracted to him. He pulled her toward himself and kissed her as she kissed him back. He saw images of biting her and jumped back, until she laughingly said it was not from hunger but from kissing her. Then she invited him to test things out and see for himself.
Tony bit her neck perfectly, his instincts guiding him. Then she bit him, and it was so good that her fangs actually lengthened inside him. She noted it was odd, but continued. It wasn’t until they were resting side by side that she realized what that meant! She sat upright and scrambled off the bed to track down someone she needed to talk to urgently! Oddly enough, it was Tony who recognized a man at the party – he worked with Kemnebi Davis yet had no idea the man was a shifter. It was his sister-in-law, Aella Dentro, Eden had been looking for, and Aella invited her to walk with her while they talked.
Aella indicated she needed Eden’s help with the necromancers. Eden used their talk to ask about shifters mating with non-shifters – and admitted a shocking secret that she was a shifter herself! Aella had not known a vampire could also be a shifter. But Eden was concerned that her shifter side had mated and she wanted to know if it was permanent. Aella and Eden agreed to help each other out with their respective problems.
Tony came out to the garden and put his arms around Eden. For the second time in her life, she told her secret – she was born a shifter. It should not be possible, but it was. Instead of being upset, Tony wanted to see her shift. Yes, there was something definite between them. Is he her mate? Can she even have a mate, being a vampire? This shouldn’t be happening, but she thinks it may be true. How can she find out for sure?
I enjoyed this story. It’s a very slow-moving story line, but not in a bad way. It probably would have more zing if we experienced the fight in the alley, for example, rather than just hearing the facts. But it was a very gentle love story as Tony accepts everything that has happened to him so calmly and accepts Eden completely. Eden has a more difficult time since she isn’t sure if what they have is even possible! Even without wild excitement, this is still a good story that I did enjoy and would recommend to others. I especially enjoy recognizing characters from the other books in the series. It’s comfortable and feels like coming home!
She never wanted to turn anyone least of all him but it was the only way to save him. Now she will have even more issues to deal with. Follow them and see where they will lead you

Eden and Tony’s story is book 4 in Laura Greenwood’s Paranormal Council series. I think this one is just as, if not more, amazing than #3. I love the characters in this story so much.
For over 200 years, Eden, an elder vampire council member, has kept a dark secret. While guarding a group of Witch’s she meets a human named Tony, who she is forced to turn into a vampire to save his life. As they spend time together, her teaching how to deal with his new reality, a connection forms between them and she discovers that the new vampire is her destined mate.
Want to know what happens, then you’re gonna have to read the book. 🙂
Eden is an elder on the Council and Tony is a human who is caught in the middle of an evil vampire attack. I loved the way the author brought Eden and Tony together and how they find out they are mates. I am loving each of these novellas in The Paranormal Council series and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
he Vampire’s Bite is about Eden and Tony and Eden’s secret. This story takes another step into the politics in this universe and how they are making them better. It is not necessary to read the others to enjoy this one.

The fourth book in the Paranormal Council series a short well-written story this is Eden and Tony’s story A book I enjoyed reading looking forward to reading the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Eden is an elder of the vampire council and while protecting a group of witches from a bad vampire, the human Tony becomes collateral damage. To save him she has to turn him into a vampire. As his maker she takes him home to guide him at the beginning of his new life. What she had not counted on was the instant draw towards him, and more and more signs show her that he might be her true mate.
Another story of inter-species mating, this one with a special twist that I do not want to mention here. Love the story.
As always entertaining and fun to read.

While I like the writing and the premise of the story, the more of these I read, the more I feel like something is missing. Each book has stopped without explanations for important things and the next books are not answering them. I feel like I am being strung along. I hope that has I near the end of the series the pieces begin to fall in place. I do like the characters though. I felt like there was a small shift with Eden and Tony’s story. Tony takes everything extremely well, turning and mating within less than a 48 hour time period. He still hasn’t fed? The stories are starting to lose my interest. We have yet another villian with little explanations for some of the things that transpire. 2.5-3 stars

This is the fourth book in the Paranormal Council series and we get to see some of the other characters from the other books in the series. We met Tony kinda in one of the spin off books where we see Eden take care of the vampire Todd. With Eden having to face the consequences of her actions that night and saving Tony from the death Todd would have left, she ends up finding out that true mates really do exist.
