“The Vampire Wants a Wife was a fun, corky and totally British read that will make you wish supernaturals were really out there looking for love and one was your match.” – USA Today Bestselling Author, Kimberly Knight.“The Vampire Wants a Wife is a fast-paced, easy to follow, well-crafted, standalone paranormal romance with a beautifully written dual first person narrative, a cast of quirky … narrative, a cast of quirky characters, and lots of snappy dialogue and cutesy humor.” – Amazon reviewer
Running a dating agency can be a killer…
Shelley Linley is sick of sickos. Yet another prankster has applied to her dating agency. This one says he’s a vampire and he wants Shelley to help him find a wife.
Meeting him for a second interview against all her better judgement, Shelley discovers that he has no clue about women. A shame because he’s super-hot, amusing, and has a lot of single friends he could recommend her struggling business to, even if he does say they’re werewolves and demons. She has to help him, even if he’s crazy.
If she can ignore his delusions, she’s sure she can help him meet someone. But when death threats start arriving on her doorstep, Shelley’s not sure she’s cut out for the job…then her dating algorithm states she’s his ideal partner. Now she’s not sure if she should take the risk for love, or run like hell.

The Vampire wants a Wife is book one in the Supernatural Dating Agency by Andie M. Long. It’s hilarious, cute, and lots of laugh out loud moments.
This is my first taste of this author and I had a blast with this story and can’t wait to read more. The multiple points of view throughout the book where well done and made it easy to dive into both Theo and Shelley’s heads. This book had me laughing a lot from the modern day puns and references too the dating questioner and the answers our supernaturals give.
We get to meet lots of fun and interesting characters besides our leads. I loved Theo’s guy friends and Shelly’s partner in crime at her dating agency. Shelly herself is a fun character who can find a match for anyone, but herself. It’s that how it always goes? Her life could use some excitement and she’s about to get more then she barged for and have her eyes opened to a whole new world. Thea is ready for a wife and babies and once he meets Shelly he’s got his eye’s set on her.
There romance is fun, sweet, and mixed with lots of amusing and witty conversations. Besides the romance we get a little supernatural vengeance and revenge.
The only thing that I didn’t like was the author uses some terms that I found ridiculous like vajayjay for vagina. It just made me roll my eyes when that word popped up.
The Vampire wants a Wife is full of humor, supernatural characters, and an HEA. I giggled, snorted, and laughed aloud as I read this charming and amusing tale.
Rated: 4 Stars
this is a great combo of light and serious, funny and comedic while also putting forth problems to be solved. It was a great read and not just because of the world but the characters. That is where it was at for me. Even the side characters interested me and I am excited to read more about them in future books.
The Vampire Wants a Wife by Andie M. Long didn’t really work for me. It was okay, but it just wasn’t to my taste. Add in a poorly edited narration, and it just didn’t get any better.
The Vampire Wants a Wife is a rather interesting premise that there’s a secret world of paranormals who want a matchmater. Theo, a vampire, goes to Shelley, a human matchmater, determined to find a life partner. Shelley thinks Theo is insane as she has no idea of the paranormal world she lives in. Once Shelley is convinced, Theo recommends his friends, which sets up the rest of the series.
This first book actually pairs up Shelley and Theo as well and introduces this paranormal world and all its players. There’s a lot packed into a sub-4-hour audiobook. Ms. Long attempts to make this humorous, but it’s not really to my taste. There are moments where I smiled, but there was no laughing out loud. It just seemed so extreme.
Now to the narration. I was totally underwhelmed. More often than not, I was distracted by the quality of the recording. There was the occasional background noise, like someone talking just outside the recording area, and sometimes a buzz (like a fan or air conditioner) in the background. Often there was a slight echo like she was in an empty room with no soundproofing. The actual performance was okay. Ms. Doll attempted accents and different voices for the various characters, but it wasn’t entirely successful. Her pacing is fine, and she does try to emote during the reading, which is sometimes successful and sometimes not so much. I did find that I needed longer breaks between scenes/chapters, especially when the point of view changed.
I can’t say that I’d recommend this book as it really just wasn’t to my taste. I won’t be continuing the series. However, if you like humorous paranormals, this might be up your alley.

I need to read the rest of the series, loved this book, will read more.

Shelley Linley runs a dating service and she’s been fairly successful at it. She just can’t seem to be as successful in her own love life. When an unusual application comes in where the guy says he’s a vampire she wonders if she can match him with anyone since he’s clearly delusional. Except…he’s not. Delusional. He actually is a vampire. And it turns out Shelley isn’t exactly human. Who knew?
I picked up this book because it sounded like a light and fun paranormal romance. I hate that I was wrong. It has a fantastic premise, but the execution is dismal. The characters are like those cardboard fans in baseball stadiums right now (thanks a lot, 2020) and the writing is abysmal. The plot is decent, but again, the writing just doesn’t deliver. It’s choppy, there are large areas with no transition at all, and the timeline is wonky. The dialogue seems a bit forced also. The best I can say is it’s a little bit cute and funny in spots and that’s about all there is. I do not recommend.
I don’t normally read paranormal romances, as they are not my go to trope but the title of this book just drew me in. I was intrigued about a vampire seeking a wife and was wondering was he looking for a vampire wife or a human wife. This book is a short and cute read. I found myself instantly drawn to the characters and all of their unique abilities. You have vampires, witches, werewolves, demons, etc. in this novel and each has their own unique story and each is looking for their one true mate. I fell in love with this story and Shelley and Theo are the cutest together. I loved watching them fall for one another and loved the mystery and intrigue of the novel. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series.
‘The Vampire Wants A Wife’ is book one in Andie M. long’s Supernatural Dating Agency Series, that follows Shelley and Theo. I am so loving this series so far, the characters are hilariously funny, they are enjoyable to read and entertaining as hell. This book may be a quick read but it is very intriguing, enjoyable, entertaining, amusing, exciting, and addictive. I couldn’t put it down I needed to read each and every word, I didn’t want to look away or stop at any moment. From the very beginning I was sucked in, I wanted to get to the end so I could see how things would work out, but now that I have finished I’m a little sad that it is over. I know I will still get to read about Shelley and Theo in the following books, but I feel as if Shelley was rorted a little with the pack, but it was the best case for what could have happened. (A little vague but you need to read this book to understand it.)
I first found out about this series after reading ‘Come What Fae’ another novella written by Andie for the “Tempted by Fae Anthology”, I was curious of this group of female characters that are friends and the Dating Agency for Supes and Humans that I needed to find out more, then when I saw there was a series with several books I was invested in reading them.
Shelley Linley has been running her dating agency for a little over a year now and has had couples matched but still been unable to find herself a match. When an application comes in and the person has filled it out saying he is a Vampyr looking for a Female Vampyr or human willing to turn for a wife, Shelley can’t help but get Theo to prove that he isn’t a Vampire but is lying. When her computer has her with Theo as the perfect match, Shelley agrees to go on a date if only to help Theo to practice how to impress a woman. As Shelley starts to believe that Vampires are real other secrets, supernaturals and enemies are revealed, and come to Withernsea and Shelley is the intended target.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to dig into ‘A Devil of a Date’.
This is pretty funny. I laughed and chuckled mutiple times. Either at her reactions or his time spent with his friends. The ending was a surprise and I loved it.
I listened to this on audio. Angela Doll was a wonderful narrator.
I really enjoyed this book, it was funny and easy to follow the storyline.
Shelly runs a successful dating agency which receives an application from a vampire and a whole new world is opened up for her.
There were some really funny lines for the characters and Shelly’s assistant is entertaining on her own.
This was different from what I am use to reading from Andie. But I absolutely loved this book. It was a fast paced little strange romance with some werewolves, witches and satan. A vampire wants to find a wife. He goes to the dating agency in town. And this is where the story gets interesting. The owner of the dating agency goes to dinner with the vampire little does she know that in the end it will be more then just dinner. This was uniquely written storyline. I absolutely loved the characters. I cant wait to read the next one. Andie did a great job with this one. Very interesting with some great suspense.
3.5 Short review. Good premise but too much world building. I kinda felt the world building of the other characters sorta too away from Theo and Shelley relationship and growing feelings, I would have liked more focus on that and less of setting up future books. Theo and Shelley’s relationship was too fast pace and needed to be slowed down a bit despite that I do plan on reading the other books in the series.
A quick, light-hearted read about vampires and other supernatural creatures. Such a fun book!
Although the storyline is not new the concept of this story was fun, refreshing, entertaining with quirky characters.
Short but sweet, great afternoon read for the beach or a day just to raise your spirit.

I really loved this book. It was fun and quirky with a good bit of dirty humor. The narration by Angela Doll worked so well with this book, I don’t think it would have been quite as good had I read the book instead.
Shelley runs a dating agency in a small town. When she receives an application from a potential client stating that he is a “vampire” Shelley wonders how big of a nut job this man really is. All is fun and games while Shelley and her assistant think Theo has lost touch with reality until Theo turns out to be a match for Shelley in her database, and it turns out that Shelley may be a touch supernatural as well.

This was an entertaining book, full of snarky humor, cursing (beware if you are offended by the f-bomb)) and some steamy sex.
Shelley Linley is the owner of a dating agency in the small town of Withernsea. When a gorgeous hunk named Theo applies to her Agency, little does she know that her life is about to change. Theo claims to be a Vampire who is over 100 years old and is looking for a wife because his biological clock is ticking.
The book is full of magic, witches, werewolves, demons, wyverns and Satan (yes, the ruler of Hell). And, don’t forget the vampires. I loved the first interactions between Shelley and Theo, when she is convinced that he is mentally ill and tries to prove it by using folklore against him (like throwing garlicky food at him on their first date).
Shelley’s friend and co-worker, Kim, is a great character. My favorite line of dialogue from Kim: “I couldn’t possibly date him…..he has much better hair than me”.
I loved the premise of the book, I loved the characters and the story was engaging. I was a little confused at the fact that the book was set in England, but the narrator was American. The narrator did a good job, but I would have liked more differentiation between character’s voices.
The writing was great and the story moved at a quick pace, with plenty of surprises along the way. I look forward to continuing this series because I think it will keep me entertained for a long time. I was given the opportunity to listen to this book by the author and chose to review it.
I enjoyed this book. It was fun to escape in and had some great humor. There was also a nice plot twist which added to the fun and chaos. The characters were great and likeable. The narrator often gave me the impression she was just reading off a page but every now and then she brought out the characters personality.

I looved this book! It was campy, hilarious, spoofy supernatural good times! What happens when a vampire calls a dating agency for their help finding a wife and he just puts all his truths out there?? Hilarious fun ensures! This book was soo entertaining from start to finish. I love a book that can make me laugh like this. Andie did a wonderful job of creating a fun filled supernatural town that i would love to move to!
Narration- I think the narrator has a fabulous voice. I just wish there were more effort put into different voices for the characters. The audio quality sounded a bit tinny but I must say, she has a great voice so these are all things that can be fixed. Even with these issues, the book was still very entertaining. I can’t wait to hear the next!

The Vampire Wants a Wife by Andie M Long is a Supernatural Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Angela Doll. This is the first book in the Supernatural Dating Agency Series and I cannot wait to read more of the series. I really enjoyed the multiple points of views throughout the book so I was able to get into Theo and Shelley heads.
I am a bit torn on Angela’s narration on this story. The Characters are supposed to be British but it’s an American narrator. I think Angela did a great job with using different voices for the women. However, she did not change the tone for Theo’s character so it got a bit confusing at times.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys supernatural romances.

This book is a bit of a surprise when you listen to it. It’s not quite what the blurb says, but instead is so much more. It was so fun with these characters and their snarky quips. Definitely a book worth your time and I can’t wait for more!
Narration is great in this book.
~AUDIOBOOK REVIEW~
Shelley and Theo cracked me up. This was an entertaining laugh-out-loud listen that you won’t be able to turn off.
While it was a very entertaining story that made me snort-laugh (not a pretty sight btw), in my honest opinion it lacked something. There was a lot of silliness going on that I did enjoy even if it was ridiculous. The narrator could use a little work but she did a good job.
I’d like to check out the rest of the series to see what other hijinks they get into. Recommend for its LOLing.
