This is the complete series of Royal Covens, a “why choose” witches and vampires romanceRoyal Covens: Book 1Four sexy vampires. One mortal-born witch. An ancient secret that will test them all.I’m not a very good witch. It’s not my fault. Being born a mortal sucks and my black cat familiar follows me around like a security blanket. All the other coven brats make fun of me.My vampires don’t seem … other coven brats make fun of me.
My vampires don’t seem to mind. They pose as my mentors and get Aunt Sandra off my back. My initiation into the Royal Covens is only three days away. They’re supposed to teach me how to hide what I really am: a reincarnation of some ancient and powerful witch. I think they’re just telling me that to get in my pants.
What my vampires don’t hide is their hunger for me, both for my blood and my body. That dangerous kind of thrill is going to get me into serious trouble.
Royal Covens: Book 2
There will be a sacrifice at the witching hour—me.
Okay, so throwing a shoe and casting my laxative spell didn’t do me much good. Time to go to Plan B.
I’m a reincarnated Fate Witch and rightful Queen of the Royal Covens. None of that is why I’m going to get out of this, though. I’m a mortal-born witch in this lifetime, which means I’m scrappy as hell. I’ll use my strengths against their pride and get the Royal Covens to turn on each other. While they’re cat-fighting it out, I’ll use the opportunity to work together with my guys and make an epic escape.
To everyone’s surprise, Plan B worked! (Yeah, even I was surprised, I’ll admit it.) We head on over to an underground retreat for vampires who royally pissed off the Royal Covens (see what I did there?). Anyway, they’re all really nice and accepting except for this super hot vampire named Tiros. His first reaction when he sees me is to give me the bird. Yeah, he’s awesome like that.
Behind all that brooding and crudeness, Tiros is hiding something. Well, he’s a master thief, so he’s always hiding something, but I think he knows something about my past. I’ll charm it out of him. Because yeah, I’m charming. Totally.
Royal Covens: Book 3
This final trial is total bullshit.
I’m a Fate Witch, which qualifies me to become Queen of the Royal Covens, assuming I can survive the final trial. Sarina’s dying breath took all of the men in my bond and cast them beyond time and space, trapping them in alternate worlds that only my power can cross. Their fate is in my hands and I’ll have to tap into my power now more than ever to get them back into my arms where they belong.
Being my witch familiar, Bast is the only one of my guys who has managed to avoid this stupid trial. There’s just one problem… he’s stuck in his feline form. He can’t hold me and comfort me like I want him to. Sarina cursed him to make sure I was alone. She thought the separation from my bond would crush me. Even in death, she still is a pain in my ass.
As if fixing Bast and crossing worlds to find my guys and reunite our bond wasn’t terrifying enough, I’m on the clock. If I fail the final trial before the Second Echo of Calamity arrives, Sarina will be resurrected and she’ll destroy our world as we know it.
Like I said, total bullshit.
Royal Covens is a complete series where the main character does not have to choose and ends up with all six guys. There are definitely steamy scenes, so if you don’t like a little bite with your vampires you’ve been warned!more
Such an awesome series…. witches, vampires, gods and more… couldn’t put the book down and now im sad it’s over..
Boxset all 3 books in 1!
CAPTIVATED:
Evie is a mortal witch. She wasnt born one. She was taken in by her coven when she was a child. Things are a bit foggy about that but she’s always just believed what her Aunt told her. A twist of fate and she’s drawn into a vision and in order to get back and survive was to bond to the pillars aka the vey hot Warlock Vampires she was seeing in the vision. From there things get really interesting. Things arent what they seem and she needs training for her initiation into the coven where she’ll receive her powers. Then she finds out she’s a reincarnation of a very powerful witch. Whats the worse that can happen?
First book in a series is important. It sets the tone for the whole series. You have to have a good plot, characters, and the flow has to work. Thats how you draw your readers in. Its gotta go BOOM. That didnt happen for me in this book. I felt left behind on details and we were expected to know them. Book moved fairly quickly but the book needs more fleshing out. For instance, I wanted to know more about initiation and it was glossed over. I wanted to know the history of it and exactly whats going to happen. We didnt get that. I wanted more information on all the covens including hers. All we know about her is her real parents were killed when she was little but the details are hazy but we might get more information about that in later books. Evie was pretty accepting of her guardians and things progressed quickly with them. This wasnt a huge deal but worth mentioning.
I thought the bonding would be a tad slower. I sort of expected a little more shoving between Evie and her vampires but it was simple and easy. World building hardly existed here. I was confused by the dynamics in when people are born witches or mortals and how they define where they go into the world. Is this a supernatural world and humans are just part of it? Is it mortals and them? I know about Evie’s situation but what about others? I’ll definitely be reading the next book. This was good and it does keep me curious but its not without issues.
COMPELLED:
So, I had a few issues with the first book in the series. Book 2 was so much better! Everything is coming together and we are learning more. World building was better and more detailed. Getting new characters in this book as well. It just all around flowed better for me and I was sucked in from the first page. I love when that happens.
Well….this starts as book 1 left off. The aftermath of being imprisoned. Serina is one horrible person. However, its not just her they have to worry about its whoever is pulling her strings which we have no idea. After narrowly escaping from being killed they go to a vampire stronghold. Its safe for now. More interesting characters and I look forward to knowing more. Love just love him. He’s funny, adorable, and sweet. After being with Evie a long time he’s definitely in love with her and cares a great deal for her. She gains another bondmate but there are extenuating circumstances where he’s concerned and his story broke my heart. Evie is so strong in a lot of ways but still very vulnerable. She gains an ally that was surprising. The stakes are higher and if they can just get through the trials and save her bff they will be better off. Its not over by a long-shot.
CONSUMED:
I actually feel bad about this negative review but I have to be honest. I liked the story idea of it all…it just didnt come together right.
Might contain a spoiler or 2.
In this book I am not sure what happened…there was definitely a lot happening in this book. It was all over the place. The whole Serina thing wasnt even finished. Not all the questions were answered. It wasnt very well thought out. I honestly think I had the most trouble with the last few chapters of the book. Basically at the part where she found Marcus. Not to mention her bonding to Tiros, Killian, and Aaron was rushed and forced. They had no time to develop anything of a relationship and that left me disappointed. Tying everything up was rushed at the end and I honestly thought as I got to the 85% mark that there was another book because I knew it couldnt be squeezed in but she did. Author jammed everything into the last 2 chapters and I just couldnt buy that. Then….we get a twist. Another Fate Witch tossed into the mix to save her remaining 2 bondmates?! Eh? We were told there wasn’t any other Fate Witch’s and how freaking rare Evie was. What the heck?! I think this had information overload. It should have been 4 books instead of 3. Definitely feeling whiplash. I loved the 2nd book and this one…ouch.
I’m glad I read the series but it did have a few issues but otherwise I enjoyed the story as a set.
Evie is a mortal-born witch that not only discovers that she’s actually the reincarnated Fate Witch, but also The Queen of the Royal Covens. OMG!! That it? Well, there are six men who want and love her as well as an evil witch who wants to destroy her and her men. Anything else?!

Could. Not. Put. This. Down.
From page 1 it gripped me, as Evie is a great character: strong, independent, self-aware, not gullible, doesn’t care what anyone thinks, good values … and a trouble magnet. Enter a bunch of hot vampires, conspiracy, power plays and a dangerous initiation and you get one wild ride.
5 stars
This book does have a cliffhanger, but it’s no biggie since the complete trilogy is available. I strongly suggest just buying or borrowing the complete set—you’ll understand as you get into it.

Picks up right where Her Vampire Mentors: Book One: A Reverse Harem Witches and Vampires Royal Covens Novel left off, thankfully because it was a cliffhanger. Evie’s still trying to navigate the insanity she was thrown into, and re-bond with her mates so this book weaves life-altering action and kindle-melting heat, all while giving us a really fun look at Sonya in her role as Queen of Hell (See: Seven Sins: A Reverse Harem Romance Complete Series ). Reading this, I couldn’t help but marvel at J.R. Thorn’s writing, which I’m learning happens often.
I don’t want to spoil anything for any of this world so I’ll just say READ IT. Or listen to it. Just … experience it, you won’t be sorry.
4 stars
Note:
I both read the ebooks and listened to the audiobooks.
Ebooks are formatted beautifully.
Audiobook is narrated absolutely perfectly. Narrator Vanessa Moyen has a very smooth voice (that even withstands speeding up the audio), perfect enunciation and great tone. A 5-star performance.
This book ends on a wicked cliffhanger; best to be ready with book 3,Her Vampire Mentors: Book Three: A Reverse Harem Witches and Vampires Royal Covens Novel . Don’t say I didn’t warn you. 😉

“… A girl gets used to things in the paranormal world.” —Evie, Consumed by J.R. Thorn
^I feel like that line sums up this whole trilogy, (and the series that follows it, Fortune Academy: Year One: A Bully, Paranormal, Academy, Why Choose Romance ). This book is the exciting conclusion to the Royal Covens trilogy and picks up after a killer cliffhanger in book 2, so be sure you read them in order.
(Absolutely love the sneak peek at Lily and some of the rest of the crew from Fortune Academy!)
Definitely found myself wishing more real-world people could be like Evie. Maybe read this and take some inspiration from lines like this one:
“I didn’t do things to benefit me; I did them because they were the right thing to do.”—Evie.
5 stars.
Note:
I listened to the audiobook. It’s narrated absolutely perfectly and I cannot stress this enough. 5-star performance.
At the time of this review, included in Kindle Unlimited and available on Audiobook.
ONE FANTABULOUS COLLECTION!!!
Freaking awesome! The ambience sizzling from the pages immerses you so thoroughly you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. Personalities, attitudes and dynamics are 100% spot on with such realism it blows this baby wide open. I felt like I was dropped right in the middle of the excitement. Combating the trials and tribulations through perilous paths, unnerving danger and electrifying suspense launches this jewel to life exquisitely. Incredibly fascinating storylines and gripping plots kicks this jewel up a few levels. A throng of inadvertent circumstances along with a slew of staggering surprises push those blazing emotions to into play smoothly. One non-stop action packed, fast paced, page flipping delight that keeps you riveted on a razors edge. Twixt and twined and stretched to unbelievable limits until you feel everything the characters feel. The characters are genuine, tangible and realistic with such depth and qualities that blend fluidly without a crease. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive its paints a fantastic backdrop. Remarkable job Thorn, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
I highly recommend this series as a must read! I enjoyed reading every single moment of this story! Lots of twists and turns and surprises along the way. Fast paced and action packed as well. I have to say my favorite character has to be Bast!!! But Evie and the rest of her guys are also awesome!!! So much kickass goodness! Never a dull moment. and lots and lots
Of HOT steamy action too if you know what I mean haha.
