Suzanne Brockmann’s wildly popular Troubleshooters series showcases this master storyteller’s rare gift for blending intense adventure with sensuous romance. And it all begins with The Unsung Hero, a heart-pounding tale of love that reveals hidden truths and brings two solitary people together against all odds. BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Suzanne Brockmann’s Born to Darkness.… Born to Darkness.
After a near-fatal head injury, Navy SEAL lieutenant Tom Paoletti catches a glimpse of an international terrorist in his New England hometown. When he calls for help, the Navy dismisses the sighting as injury-induced imaginings. In a last-ditch effort to prevent disaster, Tom creates his own makeshift counterterrorism team, assembling his most loyal officers, two elderly war veterans, a couple of misfit teenagers, and Dr. Kelly Ashton. As the town’s infamous bad boy, Tom was always in love with Kelly, a sweet “girl next door” who has grown into a remarkable woman. Now he has one final chance for happiness, one last chance to win her heart, and one desperate chance to save the day.

No one writes kickass military romance like Suzanne Brockmann!
Book 1 in an amazing series I excitedly anticipated and devoured! Suzanne Brockmann writes hot romances that push all the right buttons, all the time!
I’m completely obsessed with the whole Troubleshooters series. Have been binge-reading it like crazy and can’t get enough of the characters, the settings, and the action-packed storylines.
really good
This was not a fluffy read. Instead it was angsty, and action-packed, and a little tear-jerking. It just makes you wonder if people really feel so dire about love as romance authors make us think? For once, I felt that that come-hell-or-high-water, I’ll-die-without-you feeling wasn’t a myth. Could loving hard be a real life thing? …
This isn’t my favorite of Brockmann’s novels but it is still fantastic. I constantly find myself wavering between giving this 4 or 5 stars. Because it’s not my favorite – I do wish it had more action to it (on a scale with her other Troubleshooters books, this one leans more heavily to romance than suspense), because there are a few troublesome …
Love this whole series, it is very easy to become invested in the characters, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Suzanne Brockman rocks!
Book 1 of Suzanne Brockmann’s Troubleshooters series. I read the whole series several years ago and have just reread them all. It’s like visiting old friends again. Her characters are realistic and very human, not always perfect, but always interesting. Opens our eyes to the skills and dedication of our military and the true meaning of love in all …
This is the best series ever written. You’re missing out if you haven’t read it!
Was the first of Suzanne Brockman’s books. Liked it so much that purchased the whole series.
Suzanne Brockmann does it again. Her characters are real, flawed, funny and all-around wonderful.
Always enjoy Carly Phillips books-especially the Seal Team stories. She keeps the plot tight and interesting and good characters.
I always can count on this Author to give me a great read in her romantic suspense series. Not to much romance and a real suspense storyline. Her characters are well drawn and interesting. A good vacation read.
This is among my top 10 all time good books. (And I read a lot of books.) Brockmann carries three plot lines seamlessly and each is a story of its own, but linked to the others. I’ve read and re-read this book. You won’t regret it if you read it.
This is my favorite type of book to read. The first page gets you hooked then you get lost in the story and all the players in the story. By the time you finish it is like saying good bye to friends. I use the train to go to work so books that make the time pass fast are always my favorite
This is the book that got me hooked on everything Suzanne Brockman writes! Tense and plausible storyline, with great characters.
I loved the flashback story line. The love was so sweet & also intense between the main characters and the secondary they made it interesting to keep reading on their own but what I couldn’t put it down for was Cybele’s story.
