The Brotherhood wants her gone. The demons want her dead. That might prove as dangerous as defeating the vengeful demon out for her brother’s blood.
Odds of her new teammates expecting her to fail? Best not to think about that.
Odds her succeeding out of spite? Dive into this complete series and find out.

A fantastic, fun, and unique urban fantasy.
This was a witty, smart and hilarious book. I have never read an urban fiction novel prior to The Unlikeable Demon Hunter, and now I must devour the series! Deborah Wilde has created Nava Katz, the perfectly imperfect, charming and supremely entertaining heroine. Rohan, the hero, is swoony and growly. There are also gross demons, some of whom meet an untimely demise at the, uh, hands of Nava.
AND THE HUMOR. I don’t normally laugh when I read romances — humor is difficult to write and most authors do it poorly — but about every other page I found myself laughing out loud. Deborah Wilde is a great writer if she can make me howl and stay interested in a story that’s set in a demon-filled Vancouver. I highly recommend this book, because someday, Wilde’s series will be a Hollywood movie or TV show.
I really loved this book. Just the perfect read to escape and make me smile. I definitely recommend it and cannot wait to dig into book #2.
Loved everything about Nava in this book and the whole series is class!
this series is great and each book just gets better!
My head is shaking side to side. I do not want to love this series of books! But, I do. The charaters are so real, the wold setting believable, and you can’t help but cheer for the twins to connect with their true loves. The only reason I don’t want to love this series? It is way too steamy, wich make the lead character come across as trampy and stupid, instead of fun loving. Anyway, I am over 40, and maybe new readers need a step by step to think of this book as romance. Buy it. Read it. Then wait miserably, like me for the next book.
Where has this heroine been all my life? Strong, funny, and full of action–a PNR romance series I gobbled up in days!
This urban fantasy is ridiculous amounts of fun!
Nava Katz’s twin Ari has always been the chosen one in a long line of demon hunters. But when his initiation ceremony goes wrong (or right), it turns out it’s Nava who’s meant to fight supernatural baddies–the very first female demon hunter in the Brotherhood of David, an organization of slayers with Jewish roots.
The worldbuilding here was so unique, between the Jewish mythology and the demons themselves, which range from large, terrifying three-headed monsters to little creatures shaped like heart pillows. What’s makes the story, though, is Nava. She’s a sex-loving, hard-drinking, pool-playing heroine with a big dose of snark. It’s so fun to read this story through her perspective, and see her transform from hot mess to slightly less hot mess who can also kill demons. Also, her love (lust) interest here, Rohan, is well-drawn, sexy, and appealing. I can’t wait to see what happens between them in the next book.
If you love raunchy stories and demons galore, I’d highly recommend this!
I loved everything about this book!
I love snarky kick ass heroines! I couldn’t walk away from this book once I picked it up and I can’t wait for book 2. This series had made it on to my must read list!
