This is the first Mrs Polifax book. It is a great introduction to thos great character.
I love all of her books!
Great book! Like all of the others, too.
A delightful fun read!
These are classics. I read them as a teenager. Funny for all ages. Wish there were more like this.
Great fun.
This was a fun mystery – esp delightful with a grandmother as the clever one who solves the mystery
I’ve loved this series and have read and reread many of her books. Set in varied locations with an unlikely sleuth who works her way through and solves the mystery in the end.
I always enjoy Mrs. Polifax and her adventures. Also I enjoy the armchair travel.
I wanted to be her when I retired. Karate chop, here I come!
Without giving any of the delightful discoveries away, let me say only that you will love this book and it is well worth your time. The entire series is.
I love this series! There isn’t nonsense and asides that just add words to the total words. The stories move right along, and they’re good plots.

Mrs Polifax is a character! She wants to make a difference and do something besides the garden club. Fiesty older lady who can think on her feet. The things she gets into drives her handlers crazy but they love her. I highly recommend reading the series!
Dorothy Gilman serves up a joy ride in her story of this old lady, of which I am now one. Couldn’t put it down. Jan Antonsson
Mindless reading but I liked the character (Mrs. Pollifax) and the story.
The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax was a welcome light read. Enough intrigue to keep you wondering, but balanced with thoughts from a non-spy spy to make it believable. Makes me want to take her on my next trip.
Love mrs polifax! Fun gal! So nice to have a spy like her!
It was something different and I would read more of them.
What an unexpected little gem of a book. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I know it has been around for a long time, but I got it through Book Bub and it was at the right time where I wanted something different. I recommend this book for someone looking for a fun, summer read with an interesting title character. I am now reading …
