Love mysteries.
A truly fun read with exceptional characters and a great plot – and best of all there are more in the series to read. Mrs Polifax is a hoot.
I purchased this book when it first came out and fell in love with Mrs. Pollifax and purchased every one of the books as they came out. I have re-read all of them but I have to read this one at least once a year.
Loved the book. Have read ALL the Mrs. Pollifax books and would gladly reread then again and again.
I have read all of the Mrs. Polifax novels. They are a source of information and entertainment. I highly recommend them all
I’ve read all of the Mrs Pollifax books and have enjoyed every one.
All these books are great fun.
I love this entire series. The characters are always refreshingly different and the stories are fun.
Mrs Pollifax is definitely an unexpected heroine! She will keep you totally involved in the story. This book led me to read ALL of the Mrs. Pollifax books. HINT: you DO need to read this book first. Well, you don’t have to, but somehow it makes the others even more enjoyable knowing how she got involved in the first place.
Any Mrs. Pollifax book is a good read. Characters are engaging, plots are on the edge of believable (NOT!). Will brighten your day!
A wonderful and original character. These books hark back to a time in US history that is much more fun to read about than it was to live thru.
A friend recommended this series, and I was very pleasantly surprised! Funny, charming, and with plenty of adventure, plus a healthy, lovely dose of wisdom and common sense throughout.
Delightful and highly recommended!
Very good cozy English mystery. Liked the main character. Unusual characters. Read the other books in the series also. Highly recommend.
Even though this is an older series I still love Mrs. Pollifax
This serious of an older woman playing spy is very entertaining. There is some real danger to satisfy those who want that, a bit of romance, some unusual scenarios…all wrapped up into a very enjoyable read.
I don’t know if this is actually the first in the series; it felt like I was missing info about the main character. But I loved her and also love books set in places that I’m sure I’ll never actually get to travel to. To that end I learned a little history as well as the culture of other countries.
Love the entire Mrs. Pollifax series. I first read these books when I was younger and now I enjoy them even more in my 80’s…..
Perfect blend of suspense, comedy and entertainment. Enough action to keep you on your toes. All the books in this series are well worth the read. Enjoyable — suspends reality for a time — so unexpected that you are really drawn in. Funny!
I love all of the Mrs Pollifax books. Reading them for the second time.
I love Mrs. Polifax! Resourceful, but realistic for her years all the books in this series are wonderful.
