He had never even fought back before. But this time, something strange happened—something he can’t explain. A strange power surged … strange power surged through him, and the next thing he knew, the kid was on the floor, bleeding from his nose.
If he rejects the offer to study at the Underground Academy, Tristan will remain in Juvie.

But the more he learns, the more the mysteries pile up.
Why are only criminals welcome at the Underground Academy?

Who can they trust?

This series was my first introduction to R J Vickers. Her writing is fast paced and action packed! This was one of the best Academy series I have read and I was very disappointed when it came to an end. I enjoyed it immensely!
This is my first time reading anything written by this author and I’m darn glad I chose to stray from my normal group of authors.
This series follows a group of teenagers that are taken to an academy to learn how to use magic. The world and character building alike are remarkable and make you want to keep turning that page to see what happens next.
Do yourself a favor and read this series!

Aweso.e series
The Underground Academy tells the story of Tristan Fairholm. He is a juvenile delinquent who got selected to learn magic in Canada. They learn how to harvest magic. But soon he finds out they don’t use the magic for a good reason. They use it for a dark and dangerous reason. He now must uncover the vandal who did it and put things right. I really loved this story! It was so fun to read because they really learn magic, especially in the first book. It did remind me a bit of Harry Potter and Hogwarts, but the plot was completely different. The story is very well written. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read other books of R.J. Vickers.
