Really great duet narration by John and Nick!
This is the first book I’ve ready by Jenna Galicki and I really enjoyed it a lot. I’m pretty sure that it’s also the first audiobook I’ve listened to with duet narration as opposed to dual narration. In this story Nick J. Russo does the voice of rockstar Brandon while John does the voice of Cameron.
Cameron is on a short vacation to try and snap out of the funk he’s in. When he meets Brandon, he has no idea at all that he’s famous. Brandon is cool with that because it lets him know that Cameron likes him and not his money.
This is a pretty quick listen at just over 2 hours but I was engrossed in the story from the very beginning. It’s hot and sexy and has a few tense moments. I was a tad bit disappointed that there’s only a HFN with a bit of a cliffhanger. The rest of the series is available in e-book but it’s not available in audio format.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
Great Story & Narration A Steamy Delight
The Undercover Rock Star
Bulletproof, Book 1
By: Jenna Galicki
Narrated by: John Solo, Nick J. Russo
I loved everything about this book, from Jenna Galicki’s wonderful writing style to the story and characters she created to John Solo and Nick J. Russo’s fabulous narration. I am a huge fan of Rock Star romance and this book did not disappoint on bit. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive straight to the end. I adored both characters, Cameron Douglas thought a vacation would help get him out of his funk, it was not working until he meets Brandon, there was something about him that peaked his interest. Brandon, a rock star, is used to being approached by fans, so when he meets someone who has no idea of who he is, a someone who he feels drawn to he needs to spend more time with him before his secret is out. The two hit it off and have a wonderful time together, when his bandmates join them Cameron really finds out who Brandon is and what he does. I loved how how much story Jenna Galicki fit into her novella sized book, it is plotted out nicely and there is never a dull moment, it is a sweeping romance with some drama, heartfelt moments and some hot loving. Jenna Galicki, thank you for the greatly entertaining and enjoyable story!
I listened to the Audible edition, John Solo and Nick J. Russo are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them, capturing their emotions and their passion and projecting it into their smoking hot performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the awesome listen
Brandon and Cameron met while on vacation. Brandon and his band needed a break so they went to Rio. Cameron went there to get over a recent breakup. Cam couldn’t believe it when drop-dead-gorgeous Brandon picked him up at a bar. And Brandon couldn’t believe that Cameron didn’t know who he was. With their off-the-charts chemistry, they were both happy with the hook-up.
Being the lead singer in a famous rock band, Brandon was used to being recognized everywhere he went. Being tattooed, long-haired and fit, also got him a lot of attention. It was pretty hard to keep his identity from Cam, even though they were only together for a short time. Cam was an accountant and lead a pretty quiet life, so he didn’t follow the music scene. He never would have connected Brandon with a rock band, let alone suspect he was the lead singer of the group Bulletproof.
Talk about opposites attracting – these men couldn’t have been more different. Brandon was outgoing and attracted attention all the time. Cameron was quiet and led a low-key life. But they were both alpha men who were used to being in control in the bedroom. There were a lot of sex scenes in this book so each time they had sex we saw the battle between them.
Aside from the extreme amount of sex in this story, it was a good romance. But I thought the ending was a bit too quick and not believable. Even so, I’m glad I won a copy. If you enjoy steamy M/M romance, you will want to read this.
Cameron and Brandon love at first sight.
A well-written story. A lovely romance between a pop star (Brandon) and someone who had no idea who Brandon was. Cameron was on holiday in Rio; after a bad breakup and need a break from work. He stumbles upon Brandon with no idea of who he was. The next few months don’t go smoothly at all, and Brandon resigns himself to the fact that Cameron isn’t interested in him after no communication for a couple of months.
Well worth the listen/read.
Good narration from John Solo & Nick J Russo easy to listen to and only had to speed up to 1.35.

I thought this was a good short summer romance story. I loved the characters and the storyline. I really loved having two of my favorite narrators narrate this story. That was a double bonus!
Cameron was on a vacation to clear his head after a bad breakup. He meets a sexy man that is keeping his identity pretty secret but part of the fun was trying to figure out the mysterious man. by the time he does he has feelings and doesn’t want this vacation to end. but he can’t give up his life to go traipsing off on tour with a man he just met. I found this a pretty good rock star story.
This is one of my go-to series when I’m having trouble concentrating on reading, I’ve read this series over so many times I can’t get enough of it!
Cliffhanger(?): Yes, BUT can be read as a stand alone.
Heat: 3.5-4/5
Romance: 3.5-4/5
Drama: 3.5/5
Suspenses: 3/5

Gonna jump into Book 2 Now! 🙂
Brandon and Cam pose the question of two alpha males making a relationship work. These two had their moments where I wasn’t sure, but they were certainly hot together. This is a fast-paced, steamy read that takes place, for the most part, over a couple of days. While it’s certainly far-fetched, it is fiction, so I just went with it and quite enjoyed the story. The characters are likable and have good chemistry. The only drawback was that the author uses the play for dominance a bit much, but overall, it’s an entertaining read with a happy for now ending and loads of sexy fun.
