When five year old Shelley Robins vanishes from her home in the middle of the night, her mother is charged with murder and taken to prison. Six years later, when Shelley reappears unharmed, the whole town must navigate the strange behavior of the young girl, the wrongful imprisonment of a mother, and the fear that the kidnapper is striking again. Shelley’s devoted older sister, Sasha, determines … determines to do whatever it takes to keep Shelley safe. The Uncaging is a story of the trauma we hide, the ways we cope, and the lengths we go to to protect our family.

I liked that this book kept me guessing.
I really enjoyed the way this author wrote…highly compelling & intelligent style. The ending was unexpected & somewhat sad. And I highly appreciated the clean language!
An original page- turner, though rather implausible. It kept me reading to the end, which it might not have had it been less well written.
Good story. Intriguing. A very dysfunctional family, Interesting outcome.
this one is crazy good and caught my attention from the beginning. No way to predict where this one is going! If you love the twists and turns of a good mystery this one is for you! 2 thumbs up for Meridee Jo
Very unpredictable story which presented a new way of looking at kidnapping. A great read
kept me reading, done in one sitting, just did not want to put it down.
None of the above. Boring but had some fair parts. Could not finish book
A great book. I highly recommend
A great mystery.
This book was a page-turner from the start but I did not see the excellent plot twists coming. It really has something to say and consider in society; while on a reading thrill ride!
I enjoyed this book very much. I thought I had “who dun it” figured out until the end. I was shocked to say the least, but all the pieces fell together. A tragic story in that it involved a terrible family life and destruction of young lives. I didn’t want the story to end. I wish the story had finished with and ending of the mother, the sisters and the police officer.
Heart breaking tale of secrets kept that should have been revealed years ago. They could have prevented what happened in the present. The embodiment of both good and evil in people.
Somewhat unrealistic.
couldn’t put it down
I really liked this book !!!!
Kept you guessing good suspense
Upon getting to the end I was thoroughly gob smacked by the way it took a twist. I wasn’t ready for the surprise ending revealing the culprit. A little hard to keep up with in places and can become confusing so some parts need to be read slow. Or maybe it’s just me. But I can definitely recommend it for enjoyable reading. Thanks Meridee!
Enjoy reading
While I enjoyed the story line and twists, it didn’t seem like the author took enough time to develop each character.
