Romance novelist Brandy Jackson is not a one-night-stand kind of girl, but with Maximillian Benton, she’s willing to make an exception. Big mistake. Turns out, the charming, handsome man with a sexy British accent is a jerk who’s only interested in laying claim to Landon Castle, the inheritance Brandy received when her beloved grandmother died. But apparently through a cheating attorney, the … castle was purchased at auction by Max. When a judge orders them to both live at the castle until the legal matter is resolved, Brandy reluctantly agrees. As big as the castle is, it turns out to be too small for her and Max, who find themselves spending more and more time together. And even though Brandy knows Max isn’t her happily-ever-after, when the heat becomes too much she still gives in to her passion. Bigger mistake. Now she’s pregnant.
Max’s motives for wanting the castle are simple: revenge. A billionaire software designer, Max was swindled by the man who owned the castle, and now it’s sweet payback owning the thing his nemesis loved most. So when his plans are sent awry by a pretty American, he has no choice but to dig in his heels and make sure the castle remains his. Max tries, rather desperately, to ignore his attraction to Brandy and the way his heart expands whenever they’re together. Despite his cynicism about love, he can’t help wondering if Brandy might be different from all the other women he’s met. But when he believes he’s been duped by her sweet smile and sexy body, Max all too readily decides ending what they have is for the best. Happily ever after just isn’t for him. But he can’t shake the feeling he may have lost the best thing in his life…

A one night stand that turned into a battle for a castle that turned into a love story (and a baby).
I like the repartee between the two at the beginning of the story, I wish there was more of that. Max had a wishy washy attitude towards Brandy. He is just dubious and just the coincidences that occurred.
A few things though: I may have to read the story, but I think I missed who was decided to be the real owner of the castle. I also forgot what the connection of Drakkar and the castle again.
Anyway even with such info missing the love story is complete. it was engaging and I recommend it.

Cute, quick read with a sweet ending. Definitely a story of two stubborn people coming together and finding a HEA.
There’s no place like home? Brandy inherets, Landon Castle from her grandmother. Brandy’s grandma donated the home she grew up in to the Historical Society, so Brandy only has the castle. Max, somehow purchases the castle from auction. Max and Brandy had a one nighter without exchanging names the previous night. It blew them both away. When Brandy went to present her deed, the lawyer called Max who had a parallel claim against the property. The courts will decide, ownership and Brandy and Max need to live in the castle for 90 days while the judge assesses claims. Since she is a romance writer, she can write from anywhere. Max, likewise can operate from anywhere. Will Brandy and Max talk? Will they assess the castle together? Are there any more mysteries or surprises? Can they just, get along? Nice story. Brandy is nice, Max grows on you. Good start. Tony and Gavin sound like they will be fun. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nice cover art.
This is a really great book that I couldn’t stop reading. The sexual chemistry between Brandy & Max was off the charts when they met in the hotel bar but when she woke up the next morning she was alone. The next time they met was when they both were trying to claim that they owned the castle but after the judge telling them they both had to live in the castle together for 90 days whilst he looked into who was the actual owner. They each stayed at different ends of the castle but neither of them could stop thinking about the amazing night they spent together but when Max found out she was pregnant then seeing her with the man from the past that he hated he turned into being a jerk again towards Brandy. It took her leaving him after the hurtful way he behaved & spoke to her before he admitted to himself how much her loved her but would he be able to win her back.

Brandy is a romance writer and her grandmother raised her. After her grandmother passed she learned that her father owned a castle in London that was hers. She had nowhere to go so she packs her things and goes to London to claim the castle as her new home. When she arrives she stays her first night at a hotel and goes to the bar to hang out for a bit. When Max sees Brandy he knows that she will be his for the night. Brandy doesn’t usually go home with someone after just meeting them but there’s something about Max that has her forgetting her rules for one night. The next morning she awakes alone and goes to see her lawyer about the castle only to learn that it has been sold without her permission. What is surprising is the other person that is claiming the castle turns out to be Max her one night stand. The judge ends up making them share the castle until he can decide on what to do about it. Max and Brandy sparks banter back and forth until it gives way to some heat. Then they end up in bed together again. A misunderstanding has Max ending things with Brandy and wanting her away from him. Will Max see that Brandy is the woman for him before its too late? Can Brandy forgive Max for how he treated her?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The Tycoon’s Pregnant Lover is the first book in Leslie North’s European Tycoons and begins this brand-new series in true Ms North fashion. The story is packed with witty dialogue, fun and interesting characters and a whole lotta “WTF”. Sexy times turn into a battle of wills and there is no shortage of drama, angst and off the charts chemistry too! I really liked Max and Brandy’s personas and the support cast added depth and substance to this first of the series. I’m looking forward to the next exciting instalment.

I definitely enjoyed reading this, even after finishing I think back and chuckle at these two. Max is a bit arrogant, once bitten twice shy. Brandy just wants to live in the castle she rightly inherited. They do bump heads but their chemistry is…compatible. The story is well balanced with them getting to know one another, the mystery of the castle and figuring out how to co-habitat. I love how Brandy bravely handled the pregnancy and the support she received. Very “feel-good” story, love it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book in another trilogy from the very talented Leslie North I always love her books as they flow so well and you can easily get attached to her characters This book was no exception
Brandy has recently lost her grandmother the woman who raised her and her family home has been bequeathed to the historical society but that is Ok she has also inherited Lendon Castle in England from a father that was really never in her life. As she is author she can work from anywhere so she decides to move to her new home in England. The first night she stays at a hotel and meets a hot guy at the bar this leads to a night of passion but when she awakes he is already gone. He won’t be forgotten when she learns he also has a claim on her home and the two must share residence while the courts work out the problem. The attraction between these two is off the charts can they walk away from one another and what will happen when there is a complication from their affair.
Forced cohabitation
Coincidences, mystery and romance: it’s a good mix between the characters and the story. The story is very well written, sometimes touching.
Brandy is an American author who inherits a castle in Britain. On her way, she meets Max and spends the night with him, then the next day, he leaves before she wakes up. Yet she quickly sees him again because they both discover that there is a problem: they are both owners, probably with false documents for one of them. The judge needs time and he offers to cohabit in the castle while he checks the documents.
They tend not to support themselves in this situation and although attracted to each other, they avoid each other. Moreover, Max finds it difficult to trust anyone in his professional branch and he doubts Brandy and her presence near him.

When Brandy went to England to claim ownership of the castle her grandmother left her, she didn’t expect to meet a stranger in the hotel the evening before she was to meet with the attorneys. In the office the next morning, she didn’t expect Max to also be claiming it.
After the judge declared that they both live in the castle for the next 90 days until he determined ownership, they vowed to stay in their separate wings. Throughout the next weeks they were always getting into each other’s minds each replaying the night from the hotel. They eventually were able to get along which further brought them together.
With Max’s suspicious nature, he couldn’t fully trust Brandy even after they worked out an arrangement to care for the baby. After he saw something on her laptop, he fell back to his cool demeanor. When he follows her to a business meeting, he further distrusts her and she decides to move out. After things are worked out with his business he realized he was wrong and realized he had to do what he needed to do to get her back.

Really loved this book. Brandy is an author using different pen names in the UK to claim Londan Castle left to her by her father. Max is a software designer who is paranoid and very arrogant man who bought the castle at an auction. Brandy and Max meet in a hotel bar and have what was to be a one night stand. The next day they both appear at a solicitor’s office with titles to Landon Castle. To settle the dispute the judge orders both to live in the castle until the matter is resolved. Brandy gets the East side of the castle and Max takes the west side. As large as the castle is there was no way of avoiding each other.Week three of living together Max’s sister Bettina comes to the castle to meet Brandy and they become close friends.
This is the first of Ms North’s European Tycoon series and a awesome book. You get to meet two of Londan friends which I am looking forward to reading their stories.

Brandy is a writer and meets the very English Max on in a bar and ends up in bed with him so when she inherited a castle in England she goes to claim her castle. When she gets there she runs into Max at the attorney office and finds out he also has a deed for the castle so the judge tells them to both live in the castle until he can sort things out. This is a sweet romance with two people who have not had much love in their life but in each other they find love and family they both have been searching for.

Brandy is in Great Britain to claim her inheritance – Landon Castle. She’s side-tracked in York by a charming Brit, and they share in incredibly hot night together. However, when she meets with the lawyer the next day, Max shows up. Apparently, there are two deeds to the castle. He’s intent on keeping the castle, in revenge for a misdeed done to him, his family, and his business. Not only does the judge need 90 days to determine ownership, he decrees that Brandy and Max must both live in the castle in the interim. Max spends his time working, and trying to NOT think about her and that night. She tries to work, but is so distracted by thoughts of him and that night. And she seems to thrive on challenging him, especially when he thinks that it’s his place to make decisions that affect both of them. What will happen between them when she finds out that she’s pregnant? How will that affect ownership of the castle? I love this new series – this is a terrific first book. I was sucked in from the first page, and was nearly done before I realized it. The characters have such wonderful chemistry – they can’t seem to stay away from each other, even when they’re mad. I’m looking forward the the next book in the series.

This story was a really great way to kick off the new series. The chemistry between Brandy and Max fairly crackles off the page. Their snarky, sassy banter makes for some compelling reading. I loved their message of opening your heart to the possibilities of love, and a warning against jumping to conclusions. I’m intrigued by Max’s best friends and I can’t wait to read about their happy ever afters too.
