USA Today Bestseller Leslie North invites you to indulge in a steamy billionaire romance with an unforgettable bad boy billionaire and the smart-talking woman who tames him…Reclusive billionaire inventor Gavin Burrows still thinks about Sarah Hanson—the woman he had a brief but memorable fling with three years ago. So he’s shocked when the pretty American woman shows up at his castle door … door pleading with him to not end his contract with his gardeners, who happen to be Sarah’s aunt and uncle. Sarah is desperate to complete the garden, but Gavin is desperate, too. He’ll do almost anything to get his mother to stop playing matchmaker—even if that means making a deal with Sarah to pose as his fiancée. She gets her garden, he gets his mother off his back. At least with Sarah posing as his fake fiancée, he can avoid all his mother’s marriage prospects. Coming from a large and rambunctious family, all he’s ever really wanted was to be alone to work on his inventions. He certainly won’t let one gorgeous gardener get in his way.
Sarah would never tell Gavin this, but that summer three years ago? She’d fallen hard for him. As an only child, Sarah has always wanted a large family, so when she learns he considers having a big, loud family akin to having the plague, she now realizes Gavin is definitely not the man for her. Still, she can’t resist the opportunity to restore Gavin’s historic garden to its former glory, so when he offers, she reluctantly agrees to pose as his fiancée and prays she can shield her heart. But even though she knows it’s temporary, she surrenders to their smoldering attraction and falls hard all over again. When Gavin’s parents throw them an engagement party, the guilt over all their lies begins to weigh heavy—as does the realization she’ll once again be left heartbroken.
As the garden she’s created turns out to be a spectacular achievement, Sarah can only wonder if her love for Gavin will wither or finally bloom into something just as grand…

The Tycoon’s Fake Fiancee by Leslie North. This is Gavin and Sarah’s story. Gavin and Sarah had met a few years back and had a brief affair. Fast-forward and she’s back. He has moved into a castle and has fired her aunt and uncle because he doesn’t feel he needs a garden. He surprised when she shows up to plead with him not to cancel the contract. Gavin needs a wife so that he would be left alone to finish his invention. So he strikes a deal with her become his fake fiancee and they can keep the garden. She accepts now that they are together everyday the feeling he once felt is coming back with a vengeance. It was interesting the learn his backstory and why he didn’t want a garden. It was enjoyable to see Gavin and Sarah fall in love for real. By the time the truth comes out, they are so deeply in love that they had to accept how real it was. Good read. Loving the setting and the small town feel.

Another great feel-good book from Leslie.
I honestly expected the grouchy Gavin to be be the last of the 3 billionaire friends to find love, but was pleasently surprised with Sarah.
I didnt see how they were going to make it work, considering their completely different desires in life. But they made it work and their love was beautiful.
I would recommend this book.
Happy reading!

It’s funny how what you think you need is not really it at all. Even with his attraction to Sarah, Gavin just wants to be left alone and doesn’t want to deal with the big family. Sarah also comes from a big family and that’s when the heartbreak begins. It’s entertaining to watch them try to navigate their attraction without admitting there is more to it.

The author has, again, given us characters we can care about. The story runs smoothly and keeps us turning the page.

This was really quite a sweet second chance story. Mix it with the fake relationship plot thread and I was pretty much hooked from the get go. Gavin completely embodies the absent-minded professor role, and Sarah almost might as well be a woodland sprite. Their chemistry together is absolutely combustible. As I got closer and closer to the final pages, I was starting to despair that I’d never find out what it was that had pushed Gavin to try and distance himself from his family. If you’re like me, please persevere. It’s there, it’s just one of the very last scenes of their story.

This is the second book in the European Tycoon series, can be read as a standalone story, no cliffhangers and a delightful HEA.
Gavin and Sarah knew each other several years ago but they went their separate ways but never forgot about the other. Now, together again and in a fake relationship to stop mama Burrows from interfering in Gavins life to much….. their feelings strengthen as they get closer until Gavin decides enough is enough and ends their charade and then learns exactly what he’s lost….. interesting storyline, sweet characters.
