The second volume in J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic adventure THE LORD OF THE RINGS One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them Frodo and his Companions of the Ring have been beset by danger during their quest to prevent the Ruling Ring from falling into the hands of the Dark Lord by destroying it in the Cracks of Doom. They have lost the … Cracks of Doom. They have lost the wizard, Gandalf, in a battle in the Mines of Moria. And Boromir, seduced by the power of the Ring, tried to seize it by force. While Frodo and Sam made their escape, the rest of the company was attacked by Orcs. Now they continue the journey alone down the great River Anduin–alone, that is, save for the mysterious creeping figure that follows wherever they go.
“Among the greatest works of imaginative fiction of the twentieth century. The book presents us with the richest profusion of new lands and creatures, from the beauty of Lothlórien to the horror of Mordor.” – Sunday Telegraph

There’s no replacement for this original – worth reading.
A classic everyone should read. It Tolkien. Enough said.
the best..
I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy but this is my least favorite. It does, however bridge the other two books and provides background the motivation for the events that happen in it and in the last book.
Book Two in the Trilogy must be read to make sense of the others. Character development continues and we learn alot about Gollum and his origins.
Have read the whole trilogy 3 times-so inspiring
The seminal fantasy!!!
Loved it
The book “The Two Towers” is the 2nd book in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. This book ties the beginning and end together in a great way, answering many questions the reader may have from the first book and laying the groundwork for the third book (the reasons “why” the characters are doing what they are doing). I enjoyed this book very much!
Classics – everyone should read (not just watch) 😉
The Lord of the Rings is a classic and something everyone should read along with Chronicles of Narnia. Fantastic allegory and fantasy!
The 2nd book in the Lord of The Rings Trilogy, which is such an incredible masterpiece, that NOTHING compares! do yourself a favor, start with the Hobbit, and escape into the land of Middle Earth! you will NOT be disappointed!
Book 2 and it’s good for all of that. It’s setting up for finals of the series
