Cameron and Elijah’s story was amazing!
The tension, steam and banter was so engaging that I didn’t want to stop listening.
Tor and Emma did a fantastic job with narration.
Entertaining, Funny and Romantic!
The storyline is unique and refreshing and the first I read with topics about lock down due to our current pandemic.
This is a captivating brother’s best friend / enemies to lovers romance, that will get you hooked right from the start. The story is well-developed, fast-paced, with lots of humor, steam and romance that will get your mind of this turbulents times regardless if is just for a few hours.
I love voice actor Tor Thom’s performances, and this is not the exception.
Audio Review: The Two of Us (Love in Isolation #1) by Kennedy Fox, Narrated by
Tor Thom & Emma Wilder
Fox finds the humor in irony. The Two of Us is a chance to escape the reality of isolation and take a look on the bright side of temptation. Cami and Eli find stability in an unpredictable time. Thom and Wilder bring a vulnerability and sense of humor to an uncertain situation. Fox brings every emotion to the surface and reminds us it’s okay to laugh.
Kennedy Fox dishes up a feast of love and laughter during the most difficult of circumstances, the midst of a global pandemic… Sound familiar? Lol
Elijah and Cameron have history and its not all pleasant. As her brother’s best friend, Elijah has been very careful to keep his distance even although he has an historic crush on pampered Princess Cameron.
As they learn to ‘isolate’ together, feelings they had thought long buried raise to the surface and can no longer be denied.
As Elijah teaches Cameron to survive without the privileges she’s used to, Cameron shows a level of determination that seems alien to her upbringing.
The result is one hot encounter after another.
In the audio version of this book, Tor Thom and Emma Wilder really bring the characters that Kennedy Fox has created, to life. Their ‘pandemic’ story ceftainly lightens the stressful load in these unprecedented times that will be sure to put a smile on your face!
5 Star Review The Two Of Us by Kennedy Fox (Love In Isolation #1)
AUDIO REVIEW:
Having read several books by Kennedy Fox I was looking forward to listening to this book. The narration by Tor Thom and Emma Wilder brought this entertaining story to life for me.
This is Eli and Cami’s story, a well written love story that certainly ticked the boxes for me. This story is based on the pandemic that the world is currently facing. In the Two of us Eli and Cami who are self isolating at a remote cabin experience the fears, uncertainty and hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel, that we are all facing. This book was an escape from reality as their love story drew me in and kept me captivated.
The Two of Us is a sweet & charming romance that takes place in today’s events.
Cami and Eli are previous childhood friends who have a strong love-hate relationship. They both end up at Cami’s family cabin in the hopes of escaping the virus epicenter of NYC. The one thing they won’t escape though? Is each other.
Going into this I was a little skeptical. Not many authors brave writing a romance based during this global situation, but of course the KF duo handled it flawlessly. They cover everything about this with sensitivity and respect, including all the different aspects of it that are affecting people during this time.
Even with the backdrop of Covid, Cami & Eli were a really heart warming couple. I loved the teasing between them. It really showcased their familiarity with each other so it doesn’t feel like insta-love. They had such a strong connection emotionally & physically(the chemistry though whew).
It was fun reading how their dynamics changed, especially Cami becoming much more self sufficient.
As someone who has anxiety ( & anxiety about what’s happening) I would say that I’m very proud of how everything in this book was touched upon and handled. It was a sweet, loving story and shows us that there are/ and will be good times even during the bad times.
Stay positive, safe & healthy fellow readers

Cameron and Elijah have know each other since forever. Elijah remained best friend with Ryan, Cameron’s brother, throughout the years. But things with Cameron are very complicated, he hates what she has become, an entitled heiress. And she hates how he treats her.
Needing to isolate due to the pandemic, and by some miscommunications, they find themselves in quarantine in a cabin in Roxbury, together. So, what can happen when you have to face this uncertain and anguish times with your worst enemy?
What happens is an great story, with amazing characters, banters, laughs and surprises. Couldn’t stop reading it. Loved ot and can’t wait for the next book.
I loved this book. Read it in one day. It’s that good. Steamy romance with a bit of suspense. I love books about people being stranded together and this one had a new spin based on the unique circumstances that we’ve all been facing over the past couple months. I just have one question though. What happened to Zane?? He sent Cami flowers with an apology note for dumping her and a profession of love. Then she never heard from him again. And there was never any mention of him in the epilogue.
Outstanding read with a fun story line that is still sensitive to the seriousness of the issues going on right now. The banter and tension between these two fantastically written characters had my attention the entire read and anxiously turning pages to read more.
Every book that I read by Kennedy Fox just solidifies the reasons why I love their books so much. They’ve taken a very real, very sensitive issue and handled it flawlessly. This book is serious, sexy, funny, and swoony. I enjoyed all the banter between Elijah and Cameron, I just can’t get enough of these two together!
Eli is the ultimate package, I honestly can’t think of a more perfect book boyfriend. I love that Cameron gives as good as she gets with Eli. It’s a torturous slow burn between these two but oh, is it worth the wait. Their journey had me gripping the edge of my seat, just taking control of my emotions and not letting go.
You’d be missing out if you didn’t one click this read and dive in immediately. Another perfect read!
I loved this book!!! I loved the quirkiness of the heroine and the caring side of the hero. I loved the emotional connection these two had and the emotions that were brought out in me when it came to reading about the lockdown happening and what the heroine’s brother was going through. Great book!!
Kennedy Fox continues to amaze me!! Not only are we getting additions to the two series they already have going this year – they decided to throw in another just like that!!!
The Two of Us is a romance based on the quarantine that was very well done. It was weird reading it at sometimes because things going on in the world throughout the book we’re also going on in real life, but it was not too much of real life that you couldn’t escape!
Cami is in college at NYU when the state moves to ‘shelter in place’ forcing the school to move to online classes. To get away from the city, she heads to her families cabin to get some much needed time away and to keep from getting sick.
Eli is a childhood friend of Cami’s brother who also needed a place to stay. Her brother sends him to the cabin as well and what a surprise they were both in for!!
Enemies to lovers. Check.
Brother’s best friend. Check.
Stuck together. Check.
I just loved Eli and Cami so much!! Once they got passed their differences, they loved so big!! Can’t wait for the next in the series!!
I fell in love with this book I loved the writing and it kept me hooked and interested in the story and I actually can’t wait for the second book in this series because I will definetely be reading it. I felt the characters were really good and established even the side characters were very well established for the small parts that they played in this book.

A steamy quarantine tale! A The Two of Us will have you second guessing who you’re spending your quarantine time with, cuz I sure am! Kennedy Fox brings us a great escape, revolving around the chaos that we’re currently living in, and I can’t wait for more! Throwing in a brother’s best friend, who you grew up with until hormones took over, is just icing on the cake.
Cameron St. James is 22 and a Senior at New York University when a pandemic breaks out and she decides to head up to her family’s cabin in Roxbury with her boyfriend, Zane. Cameron is an heiress to her family’s fashion empire and she is ready for some peace and quiet without worrying about paparrazzi.
Elijah Ross is best friends with Cameron’s brother Ryan and he knows the best thing that he can do is escape the city and head up to Roxbury to escape the madness of the city and hopefully have enough supplies to last through the worst of it.
When circumstances change Cameron realizes how much she needs Elijah’s help to survive and they two begin to form a close friendship. When the unthinkable happens will the two be able to figure out a way to survive it all?
This was such a great book and extremely current given what is currently happening in the world right now.
I liked Cameron and I liked how prepared she thought she was when in reality she really didn’t have a clue due in part to how she grew up. I was happy she was smart enough to head to the cabin although given what happened she truly was lucky that Elijah showed up which allowed her to remain up there for so much longer.
Elijah was great and I loved the history he had with Cami that wasn’t easy because his mom had been the maid for her family. He became best friends with Cami’s brother. Ryan, but Cami was always distant with Elijah and his sister. Elijah was really prepared to survive the pandemic but was only ready to feed himself and had no idea Cami was going to be there.
I liked how realistic one character having panic attacks and the other having asthma as these are things that many people are facing right now and it made it more realistic with how they were coping with things. I also really liked that Ryan was a doctor on the frontline and would tell them how bad it was and how desperate the doctors and nurses were.
When Cami and Elijah were honest with each other things began to heat up but the bet that was placed between them made me laugh and I was eager to see who was going to win and hot it was going to get while we waited!
I was surprised at what happened next but I really was in favor of it because things can happen at any time and I think this is one thing people don’t seem to realize. I thought the authors did a great job with all of this and made it all believable. I loved when we learn what Ryan did and it made me so happy!
The part with what happened with needing groceries absolutely broke my heart and everything that followed. Again this is such a realistic look at the situation many hospitals, etc, are in. I was so proud of Cameron for how well she handled everything and how much she stepped out of her comfort zone.
The end was awesome and I was so happy when both Cami and Elijah truly confessed to how they felt. I was also so happy when you realize how much their family is happy as well.
I really can’t wait for the next book and us getting more of Cami and Elijah while seeing what happens with Ryan and Kendall!
The Two of Us by Kennedy Fox is the first book in their brand new series, Love In Isolation series. A series that was unplanned but sprung from the recent events in the world and the authors need to to process these events creatively. This story of two people who were once friends, pushed apart by the expectations of society and being young and not knowing any better, finally, they are in the same place at the same time with enough time to work through their issues and get to the heart of their feelings. Cameron St. James regrets having snubbed her nose at Elijah Ross in a foolish attempt to impress her “friends” in high school and Elijah knows he could have not pushed back so hard and taunted her when it all started. But that is water under the bridge now and the weeks in isolation together bond these two in a way nothing else ever could. Well-written and well-paced, this story was full of ups and downs and surprises galore. No holds barred. Enjoy!
So, I’ve read a few “pandemic romance” stories lately, with some being hit or miss, but I can say, unequivocally that Kennedy Fox hit it out the park with this first part of the Love in Isolation duet! One thing that makes this work so well is the history between Camie and Elijah that goes back some years. The both of them ending up in the same space is the opening needed for them to finally come clean about their feelings for each other. What really got to me was the fact that this isn’t all sunshine and roses, but kinda like that MTV show “The Real World”, where people stop being polite and stat being real. Sometimes a dose of reality is needed in these romance stories, where we get to see our favorite characters going through the same ups and downs we experience in real life. I can’t wait for the conclusion!
When I heard that Kennedy Fox was going to writing a series about couples been in Isolation together, I thought was a realistic and brave idea.
Cameron St. James and Elijah Ross both having the same idea of getting out of the city and finding a little quiet in the world’s craziness but what they weren’t expecting was each other. Can they make it through this without killing one another?
This was a great start to this series and I am looking forward to reading more. No matter what this duo writes I always find myself being lost in their writing!
3.5 Stars. Great couple and chemistry was smoking hot however, I guess I am in the minority with this book. I loved the characters, their banter, and chemistry. The overall story was great and very engaging. However, I use books as an escape from the real world and this brought me right back to it right down to the character having anxiety attacks. Sorry just not for me.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is such a sweet story of finding love while being stuck in isolation. A enemies for lovers and brother’s best friend story for you to fall in love with. I loved these characters and the banter between them. The chemistry and all the feels you want and need are in this book!! I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
