Seven sisters…and a legacy of magical secrets. Bestselling novelist Kate Drake is one of seven sisters gifted with amazing powers of witchcraft. Returning home in time for her northern California town’s annual Christmas pageant, Kate catches the spirit of the season and decides to open a bookstore in a charming but run-down historic mill. Decorated former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Granite, now a … Ranger Matt Granite, now a local contractor, doesn’t mind working in the undeniably eerie house — not if it means getting closer to Kate. There’s something about the quiet, sensual woman that powerfully attracts him.
When an earthquake cracks the mill’s foundation and reveals a burial crypt, Kate senses that a centuries-old evil has been unleashedSand that it’s coming after her. Though Matt vows to guard her from dusk till dawn, Kate knows she will have to summon all of her and her sisters’ powers to battle the darkness threatening to destroy both Christmas and the gift of soul-searing passion her hometown hero wants her to keep forever….

The first full length novel in one of my favorite series. The Drake Sisters all have an inherited power, that they use for good. In Twilight Before Christmas Kate defends her town from an ancient evil, with the help of Matt Granite who has had his eye on Kate for years. Delightful suspense/romance.
not up to her usual standers
How have I not read anything from this author before?? This series is great and this book, is definitely worth the money. I’m not going to get into a summary about this charming witchy book, just click “buy now” you won’t be disappointed.
I love this book. It is a definite page turner with a happy ending.
Anything Christine Feehan writes is awesome!! I would recommend this and all of her books to everyone to read. I have read all of them multiple times. i Love her stories!!!
I have read the Drake Sisters series before and enjoyed so much I’m reading again. Christine Feehan is a wonderful author and I recommend you check out her Sea Haven series too.
The characters are well-fleshed out and form a great foundation for the action and the plot which are typical of Ms. Feehan’s work. Great read for a relaxing weekend!
Love everything Feehan!!!
I read all her books in this series. It is really interesting. I would recommend the Drake Sisters books.
The Seven Sisters is A great series. Although magic is involved the use of magic is reasonable. There is A cost to we it. And they are capable of many but not all things. Also, Kate and Matt make
E A great pair.
Really like books by this author. 2nd book in the Drake Sisters series.
Enjoyed this book. Couldn’t put it down. You will love it!
Not Feehan’s best, but still a good read.
I love the books by Christine Feehan. This is the second book in the Drake Sisters series and features Kate Drake and Matt Granite. Although Matt has loved Kate for years, she is oblivious to his feelings for her. When a malevolent fog rolls in from the ocean, it exposes Matt to the secrets held by the Drake sisters. As the fog becomes more dangerous, it will take the Kate and her sisters’ special talents, as well as the men who love them, to release the spirit from its torment.
Well-written, The Twilight Before Christmas is entertainment of the highest caliber, featuring strong women and the men who love them. Each of the books in this series follows the sisters and the magic that they wield. There are steamy, open door bedroom scenes (tastefully written), so I recommend it for mature readers.
5 stars!
A great paranormal romance
Kate Drake is a bestselling novelist and is gifted with the ability to use her voice to bring peace. Returning to Sea Haven for Christmas she decides to stay and open a bookstore in a historic mill. Matthew Granite offers his services to restore the house but doesn’t expect to be battling an evil that was unleashed during an earthquake.
While I enjoyed this book it wasn’t as good as the first one for me. Kate and Matthew’s relationship was very abrupt to me. They went from meeting each other for the first time in years to kissing to having a full relationship. I don’t usually mind fast relationships but for this one didn’t feel like a smooth transition. That said, I still liked Matthew and Kate, especially Kate since she was a bookworm. I just wish that their relationship had been more developed.
“My world is books. It always has been. I love words. I love living in my imagination…My imagination provides a wonderful adventure without the risk or the discomfort.”
I thought the fog creature they were fighting was very interesting. It was a unique villain that had a unique story. I enjoyed watching Matthew learn about the power of the sisters and accept it. I do wish we had learned more about Kate and her writing career. Or seen more development with her bookstore but maybe the other books in the series will touch on that. While I did enjoy this story, it needed a little more development for me to really love it. But if you are looking for a quick and unique holiday romance, pick this book up.
Great book
