From international bestselling author Ivy Smoak comes a heart-stopping thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end…I’m not supposed to leave the house. But what my husband doesn’t know won’t kill him. I break his rules every morning on my runs. It’s always been best when I have a routine. So every day I wake up, run, clean the house, wish for a better life, repeat. … better life, repeat. And every day is exactly the same.
Except for Thursdays. I live and breathe for Thursdays. It’s when he comes. I watch him from a distance. I can’t help myself. But I was never supposed to talk to him.
I know what you’re thinking. But you don’t know my story. You don’t know the kind of monster my husband is. And trust me, you have no idea who I am.
This is a standalone thriller with an unforgettable twist.

A good read
Sorry, but I stopped reading it. The author is not very talented,
I am accustomed to the unreliable narrator, but this goes beyond. Not only that, it is apparent the narrator is unreliable and I figured out the mystery within half the book.
It was terrible. Quit reading after a few chapters
I’m not even sure where to start this review. This is my first book by this author and I was hooked from the start. It was a psychological thriller to the bones of the story. I don’t even know how to talk about the story with out spoilers but I will say that it was everywhere. Ups and downs, clues and hints scattered through out the pages until the ending knocks you off your feet. That pretty much sums up what this book did to me. It was my first by this author but won’t be my last. 4 Stars #2OCCJD
The premise of the story is interesting. The main character is kind of weird though. She’s so stupid sometimes, and naive. Then, for the landscaping neighbor to be so friendly and show up with lunch for her the day after they’ve met is another example of how it’s not realistic. All that being said, I did read it to the end just to see what the story through and find out exactly who the ‘bad guy’ was. And, there was a twist.
Best
Enjoyed the twisted plot.
This book is so, so good! Here’s what I thought when I started reading it and how I would have described it to someone else: It’s about a woman who has a very controlling husband, and she admires someone in her neighborhood from afar, and then something happens (of course). Just when you think you have the story figured out, you find out you don’t!
Wow. I read this in a day because I couldn’t stop and I’m furious (in a good way) that the book ended! Totally sucked me in.
Just ok. I felt it got rather convoluted, at the end, with trying to explain and pull everything together.
Definitely held my interest!!!
One of the worst books I’ve read in ages. The main character is exhausting and it doesn’t take long to figure out what’s going on. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, however, this one deserved it. I would not recommend this book.
Good read! Kept you interested to the very end.
I did not expect that twist.
This is another one of those books you just can’t put down. A very unpredictable ending. I would recommend
So slow and odd I couldn’t even finish it
I enjoyed this book, the end was not what I had expected.
Very good book. It kept me guessing.
While you think you can guess who is who and who is doing what as you reach the middle of the book, the twists the author incorporates are good and make you question as to whether you are correct in your theory as what is the truth and what’s the lies. Didn’t care for the end because it left the reader with loose ends and guessing- unless there is another book that follows.
