I really enjoyed reading this.
Liz…
My goodness. You are mired in a puzzle, and the situation is even more dangerous than you think!
And there’s Dorian. Instinctively you don’t trust him.
But then… could you be wrong?
What is it he’s not telling you?
In the presence of your enemies, you have to trust someone!
Whoa! This one had me going.
Not being very good at mysteries, I just kept turning pages.
There were many surprises. And the Hero in this story is very interesting indeed.
Bottom line: Wonderful addition to the Sled Dog series. 5 stars.
This book is a quick, suspenseful read.
Characters from the first two books of the series appear in the book, however this book goes a completely different direction from the two previous books in the series
Definitely the best in the series. I really liked Liz and her search for herself. It was a unique and fascinating storyline. Dorian wasn’t always my favorite person, but it was usually pretty obvious he always thought he had Liz’s best interests at heart. The ending was a severe case of deus ex machina, and seriously simplified a very complex situation.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books.
LET THERE BE LIFE is the third in the Sled Dogs series. Each stands on their own, but with heavy involvement with the characters from the other stories.
Liz’s story starts out as Cinderella, complete with a wicked stepmother and two horrible stepsisters. Then it becomes more Nancy Drew mystery.
I read this cover to cover in one day. I just could not put it down. I love mysteries and I needed to find out the answers to the questions Liz and Dorian were asking.
Though this book doesn’t have as much to do with the sled dogs, Liz does have her own Samson who loves and protects her. Instead, this book is about family and the real meaning of family.
Melissa Storm is a wonderful storyteller with a quick wit, but keeps it clean. These are stories you could share with your daughter and not cringe. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series!
Note: While I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
Title: LET THERE BE LIFE
Series: Sled Dog #3
Category /Genre: Contemporary Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Grammar/editing: book received as an unedited ARC / errors excused
Received from: Melissa Storm (as an ARC gifted copy)
Let There Be Love is the third book in Melissa Storm’s Sled Dog Series. Although this story wasn’t about racing the dogs, it was still an excellent story. These books aren’t just about the dogs, they are also about the people who race the dogs and the things in their lives, including their friends, fsmily and foes.
“Let Their Be Life” is mainly centered around Liz. Liz’s Dad got married and Liz doesn’t like the woman he marries. She doesn’t like her new step sisters eithet. She feels like the “odd one out/third wheel. She has been the only woman in her dada life for the last 28 years. Now there’s 3 more people that she’ll have to share him with.
While at the reception a stranger approachef and started asking all kinds of weird questions. This stranger’s name is Dorian …. He is a foe at first and hopes that Liz will change her mind about him. He knows something about her life that will change her life forever. Will she ever believe that he wants to protect her?
I loved this story … I love how characters from her “First Street Church” Series are mentioned in it. Again, this story isn’t about the dogs, it’s about the handlers and their family and friends. Everyone of us have a life journey, some have a life that is smooth sailing, others have a life that has many obstacles that have to be dealt with. Liz’s journey was smooth sailing until she met Dorian at her Father’s wedding.
Trust me, you will find it hard to put this one down. Mrs. Storm doesn’t disappoint.
I received this ARC book in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for the opportunity to read this.

Romance in Alaska
This is an interesting novel. It has way to much psycho-drama for my taste, but is a clean romance. This is not a sweet story by any measure. Without giving out any spoilers, there are many points in the story that can be triggers for some readers. Although this is part of the Sled Dog series, both the dogs and sled racing are mere backdrops to this story. I think this story could have been told without forcing it to fit into this series. From an editorial standpoint, this book has way too many chapter breaks. I received this book (ARC) at no cost and chose to post my honest review.
Liz’s life is about to change again. She handled her stepmom and sisters with so much grace. I got a little angry for her. I warmed up to Dorian – he really was a great guy. Enjoyed hearing from the characters in books 1 & 2. A romance but also about finding out who we really are and things aren’t always exactly like you think. This is my favorite in this series.
Another great story in this series! Liz and Dorian meet under odd circumstances. Each is filled with questions, but neither truly has the answers until they team up and find out all they need to know together.
This one was not so much about the sled dogs, but that was a nice break from the racing aspect of the series. With each book you feel the sisterhood of the gals grow deeper. I am looking forward to learning Sofia’s story next!
Liz doesn’t feel like she fits in with the sled dog racing community her father is a part of, nor with her new political stepmother and spoiled teenage stepsisters. And unlike her friends, she hasn’t discovered her passion, what she wants to do with her life. And now Dorian, a reporter, is following her and making her question everything. Who is Warwick and what does he want with her? What is her father hiding and why doesn’t he want to answer her questions? Even more suspense and mystery in this book than the previous books in the series. Sweet romance about finding yourself and what will make you happy.
Let There Be Life by Melissa Storm is the third book in the Sled Dog Series. This book is filled with mystery, secrets from the past and, yes, sweet romance and also finding out about ones self. Liz has a lot to learn about herself and her past. This book will keep you turning pages to find out what will happen and what caused it. It also throws in some characters from the author’s First Street Church series (that I read and loved). The reference to familiar characters from another book brought a smile to my face.
The plot and characters are well developed and I felt as if i was part of their lives. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it. This book was a gift and I always review every book that I read.
This book kept me so engrossed that I read it in under a day! There are new characters and also some come from other books in the sled dog series. The story kept me interested and was very suspenseful! The characters have you rooting for them and wanting them to “win”! I love each book in the series but as we move along through the series the books get better and better! If you like suspense and romance you will love this book!
For some reason I connected instantly with Liz so Dorian was the enemy, lol. I also thought Liz was a wimp and wanted to get to Anchorage to have a chat with the 3 V’s, lol. Very gripping, entertaining, interesting and realistic story. Her journey is an emotional one and not always pleasant but when push comes to shove, she quickly matures and takes care of her business, I like that about her.
This story had a big mystery involved and lots of secrets that Liz had to discover. She started to question who she was and her life as she was raised. In steps Dorian a reporter with an agenda. But as he finds things out he decides to help Liz to solve the mystery and to fall in love in the process. I enjoyed it. I received a complimentary copy and I am giving a review voluntarily.
It’s hard to review a book like this because the story is such that you will give away too many spoilers if you say too much! The whole book, however, is about the journey of Liz finding out who she is and what her life really means. A mysterious man, Dorian, dances with her at her father’s wedding and opens up far-reaching questions that changes her whole life as she knows it. Come along with Liz and Dorian for a roller coaster ride of emotions and experiences that help Liz find out things she has never knows, only to change her in ways she will never forget. Liz and Dorian will never be the same again!
This book is amazing and you will definitely want to jump on the roller coaster to find out the secrets!
Liz isn’t very happy with her life. His father is remarrying Vanessa, after almost thirty years widower, and Liz can’t connect with her. When she mets Dorian, at the wedding, they don’t like each other but he keeps stalking Liz and she can’t understand why. But they will enfold a hidden past that will change Liz’s life forever and will bring her happiness, love and the realisation that family means care about others even if it means make some mistakes.
great story

Have loved every single Sled Dog Book and this one didn’t disappoint! It was an emotional read for me and emotional subject. Don’t want to give spoilers, so hard! Loved Liz’s character development throughout the book as well as Dorian’s. He grows on you. Loved seeing the characters from the other books playing roles in this book too. Lots of secrets and drama throughout the entire book made it hard to find a stopping point! Read it in one sitting! Definitely worth the read!
The third in the Sled Dog series, Melissa Storm treats us to a great, suspenseful book featuring Liz and Dorian. Dorian has uncovered information relating to Liz that will change everything she has believed in her life. How will she find out what he has uncovered and how will it affect her life?
Characters from the first two books of the series appear in the book, however this book goes a completely different direction from the two previous books in the series. This book is a quick read and so suspenseful that I couldn’t put down. The best one yet! I highly recommend this book. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
Wonderful book. We finally got to meet Liz. Liz has never wanted anything to do with the sled scene. Liz’s dad gets married and she dimensionality the evil step mom and devil resisters. We meet Dorion, the stocker. All I can say is great book, I don’t want to give anything away.
